HE351cw map?
that to me looks like that as long as the turbine to turbine stays in the ratio it will run much higher than what i'm capable of pushing it...

HE351cw map?
look in my sig and you will see the pics of the install.

HE351cw map?
So does anyone know what the map is for the HE351cw turbo? The reason for asking is I'm able to push this turbo to about 50psi with 100hp injectors on a 2nd gen truck. I currently have the waist gate set at 45psi and I know at WOT I can hit almost 50psi.

Billet flex plate and input shaft?
Yeah it sucks that that green stuff doesn't grow on trees. Wish I could plant a few and get them to grow for me

Rear end coming apart
So is it a 60-70-80 rear end?

Rear end coming apart
Hmmm... I can't say that I've done 12-14 in the truck and as long as the run out looked good I've never had any issues.

Alternator Harness Ground wire and Plug 1998.5 24V
I went out and looked at mine and it looks like it's just a clip lock plug. you might take a pair of channel locks and pinch the button and try pushing it together then pull it apart. Mine didn't take much to get them to separate.

Rear end coming apart
Well Tsmith to bad you a little to far away for me. I would definitely be willing to help you out. If your looking for a replacement and willing to drive I can give you some info to a guy that deals in used parts.

Rear end coming apart
I've done a few Dana 60's and 70's some Yukon some G2 and some stock Dana's never had any problems as long as the run out looked good. Just make sure you do a good run out and some no longer use a crush sleeve just a standard spacer. The ones with the standard spacer have to be shimmed a little better than the ones with a crush sleeve.

O/D Lock-Unlock Issue
MnTom this issue came up when i was going camping over the 4th weekend. Started up Mt. Hood and ran into an issue of the truck rolling coal really bad then not wanting to up-shift/down shift. When I got it home I pulled all 6 injectors and had them tested found out that 2 of the injector tips were not sealing. Had them fixed did the reinstall and was still having a trans issue this time i didn't have 7600lb behind me when i hooked it up to my buddies Modis and scanned it I found 2 trans codes P0743 Torque converter clutch solenoid /trans relay circuits and P1765 trans 12-volt supply relay controller circuit. So these 2 codes are what sent me to the trans. codes can be found here http://articles.mopar1973man.com/2nd-generation-24v-dodge-cummins/59-obdii-error-codes

3-4 gear hunting and od lock/unlock issues
Throwing this out there I had the Overdrive and T/C lock up solenoids go out on me lest week and it was causing a bad hunt in and out of 3/lock up overdrive and lock but at the same time I was fighting 2 bad injectors

Tap it or leave it?
I think most of us use the 128:1 ratio 1oz of 2-cycle per gallon of fuel. Adding a little of the Howes won't hurt anything either it's just an extra expense. As for voltage killing a VP I have yet to deal with that. Mostly just a loss of fuel or lack of fuel.

02 3500 dually QC & factory mirrors
Yeah I had the non tow mirrors to start with and since switching it would want to go back.

O/D Lock-Unlock Issue
Well I have to throw this out there cause it just happened to me. The overdrive and T/C lock up solenoids are a pair and somehow I managed to fry both in the transmission.

3-4 gear hunting and od lock/unlock issues
Do you know if the ECM was updated with the latest software? I have the 99 Sport model and I had the software update done at the dealer and they put a sticker on the crossmember by the radiator. I'm not sure if this will help you but it did help me with mine. If you need I can post a pic of the sticker with the info on it.

Like a dead pedal but rolling coal?
So I went looking into this a little further and it seems that the Smarty is what sets this P0602 code. It's on there website and the tech I talked to said its a common problem. I thought this too so I just took the thing out completely and yeah this was an all of a sudden thing with all the codes and the issue. I thought about this also so I uninstalled the smarty and pulled the wire tap and can bus on the comp but it was still an issue. with all of this I had an extra valve body in the garage so today I pulled my valve boy out of my trans and swapped them and the issue is gone at the moment. I'm assuming I have a bad T/C and Overdrive solenoids Maybe the governor pressure solenoid is stuck?

Like a dead pedal but rolling coal?
I do have a smarty and I can read codes with it but the Modis will allow me to turn off each injector and watch the RPM's drop on each to see if they are working correctly.

Most important gauge?
On the 3rd Gen's I would do 3 and they would be Fuel Rail Pyro Boost this is what i have installed in a few buddies trucks.

Like a dead pedal but rolling coal?
So hear it is the best i can figure. I went out camping on 7-2 half way to our destination the truck started rolling coal like no tomorrow. I could fog out 4 lanes of traffic on a dangerous 6% grade, but if I could get on top of the RPM's it was fine. 1600 RPM's or better i made sure the overdrive was off, my T/C lock up switch was off. If I would just apply a very little amount of throttle and i mean less than 1/4" of movement it would start to haze then just roll black. All of the issues seamed to be with me hooked up to the trailer that weights in at 7600/lb. So I limped it home on 7-11. Then took the truck out for a drive well the issue is still there. Took it out to a buddies shop with the Snap-on Modis and found Engine codes - P0230 - Transfer pump out of range (AirDog 150) P0602 - ECM fueling calibration error not sure if i like this one... P1693 - companion module error Trans codes - P0743 - Torque Converter Clutch Solenoid Circuit P1765 -Gov Press Not Equal to Target @ not15-20 PSI Cleared the codes to see what came back and it hasn't run right since. I have the 100hp sticks out and at the shop for a pop test and spray pattern check now but the P0602 and the trans code are puzzling me. If I'm missing something let me know or if i need more info I can do my best to get it. Thanks for the help everyone.

Ram 1500 gasser overheating
Didn't really find the side till I tore it apart but I did have excessive pressure in the radiator along with exhaust gasses

HE351CW
It lights at about 1500-1700 RPM's and will build boost to 45psi. At a dead stop with 10K behind me take off was a black cloud then clear up and run like normal as long as i kept the RPM's above 1500 get below that and you have to really get into the skinny pedal to keep it from hazing or bellowing coal. I got the plug from DAP and used a little JB weld to plug off the inner hole.
-
HE351CW
Started out great but its a little hard to get it to light with out all the black smoke... I did the the DAP exhaust to HX40 down pipe adapter, and the HE351 charge air pipe. I may try a different set of injectors before I decide to start over with something else...

Ram 1500 gasser overheating
I agree with Mopartechnician my 99 Durango started doing that and I got the thermostat, water pump, and radiator changed before I found the head gasket on the driver side was bad...

do you trust your michanic?
Well I have to say I definitely trust my mechanic.... oh yeah that's me . I really sorry to hear what happened to you though. I would definitely be making a trip back to the place that and at least get your money back.

Tap it or leave it?
Yes sir and she is done and working very well up to 45psi. I'm not sure i like the way it is acting while towing yet.
