  1. On the back of the vp has fittings that go into the pump, they come out. I am talking about the fittings that the injection lines go to. You could remove them and clean any crud you find.If you need to clean out the injection lines you can spray brake clean into it, then blow them out with shop air.
  2. If you want you can just slap it all together and start the nut on the clamp, when it starts to get snug make sure it is flat and true. Them threads are fine and you have to turn the nut a zillion times.
  3. That orange o ring is all that should be there. When i put that pc on i hold it on the turbo flat and use the other hand to clamp it on. Make sure the clamp is 1/2 on the turbo and 1/2 on the elbo pc to the intercooler.
  4. 230 is lift pump out of range.
  5. How do you guys think i feel i need 6 at a time :banghead:
  6. What do you mean by just a little? Do you have to crank on it will all your might to get it to move ?
  7. Things to check. Fass/airdog/factory lift pump lines. Like stated injector nuts. injection lines on vp pump. Cracked or bad gasket on fuel filter housing. Return line on back of the head(center of head behind valve cover by the firewall) Return line junction block (follow return line in back of the head) cross over tube rubber o rings injector o rings. If it was me i would do the cross over tube o ring and injector LAST.
  8. Ask the shop what kind of joints they will use. Research good ones. For what it is worth i use moog. Ask if you can buy them, the reason i say this is sometimes shops mark up the stuff. The total bummer is most shops get money off the parts because they have an account with the store and still mark them up.My front end went south at 175k or so.
  9. This is what happened to me. I removed the 40 over rv fuel mpg test injectors, in my 8300 dually i did 18.5 mpg all hy miles. Then i removed the 20k over hg and replaced it with a factory one and put my 7x12 injectors back in. The 7x12 are around 200 to 240 over stock. I have to drive with the overdrive off because it can get smokey in traffic. So i drove around the city/hy mostly at 2000 rpm's and i am getting better fuel mileage. The turbo is a 64/71/13ss htt.So the question is do you think the gh change helped or running the turbo in it's peak map helped ? Or both.
  10. I looked on line and found them for 345.00 prebent. Thats big money. I hope they last until summer. I will also look into the coated ones. Thanks.
  11. If you ever have a boost leak it will help. You can get a leak from several places.
  12. Did you ever take the dash apart, maybe to change the light color or something?
  13. In the near future i will need to replace all my lines. Once i do this i dont want to do it again. Have any of you replaced the factory lines with stainless ? I would really like prebent lines i know once they ship i will have to tweek them and thats o.k. Thanks for the help.
  14. I dont see a 402 736 838 on the list. Could you list the non dodge pumps? like the buses p pumps. I think the 838 is a dodge but i would like to learn more about the non dodge p pumps. Thanks.
  15. What should happen is this, Turn key on but not start= pump should run for 1 second.Bump starter pump should run 20 seconds or so. This is controlled by the ecm. Check the connections.
  16. I oil any rubber gasket. Make sure it is clean and dry. I also put all bolts on a wire wheel to clean any crap on the threads. Then i put some permatex right stuff on the threads. That sealant really works. It cost more but is worth it. In fact i dont have an oil pan gasket,i use right stuff on most everything. --- Update to the previous post... Yes, oil waterpump gasket it will help it seal. When i say gasket i mean the rubber o ring.
  17. They really work. The filter is as long as a 5 gal bucket. I all ready had the hole in the cowl because i knew it was just a matter af time until i found a scottys plus i tryed to make my own. I like the free air it grabs like the 70 ss chevelle.
  18. I hear it is full of cheaters. If it is just for fun go for it. If you pull for money you will see cheaters. Thats why i like drag racing. It is just me and a tree.
  19. Do i have this correct ? 913=215 pump. 912 and 911 =180pump. 854=160pump.841=175pump.
  20. Thanks for the tip. I dont see dusty roads at all. One time i blew a hg and had oil all over the place. Another time i had the puke tube blow and cover the bay. Then i built a breather and put it on the pass side so i had a stream of crud flow. I have a hole under the hood for a scottys II intake. I ran the truck with that hole open for a wile. That ac picture i posted looks like a radiator/puke bottle problem if you know what i mean. Before i lowered the puke tube my radiator was covered like the ac in the picture. Thats my guess anyway. Oh yes i also at one time ran open breathers on the top of my valve cover
  21. You can replace with arp studs one at a time no matter what with hg. It can be new or old.
  22. Out of them numbers how do i tell if it is a 215 or a 160 or 180 ?
  23. I will tell you my heat now blows with some authority
