i have both, old and newerish, 95 with 310K no signs of stopping, i also have early 04 with 260K, again no issues. and i LOVE this truck. it is by far my favorite to drive. and i have a 08 deleted. its a monster. the 08 is more comfortable to sit in for long road trips. i just took it to upstate NY and back, then a week later took my 04 to Richmond VA. the ergonomics in the 04 are my favorite, love that truck, the seat sucks.and it's new from genos. the 04 gets 17-18 mpg, the 08 gets 18-20 mpg. the 08 is a towing beast!! and i mean beast, it'll out tow the 04 hands down any day of the week. every one tells me the new trucks are expensive to fix... mine kinda were, 5K trans for the 04, $1200 clutch in the 08. other than that, they have been great trucks. that said, DO NOT go into debt to buy a truck. if you don't have the cash, don't do it, if your house is paid for then maybe, maybe. my house is paid for. so i went into debt to by my 08, 4 year term paying it off in 1/2 that time. you have to think how long and how many miles are you planning on driving the truck? oh and YOLO!

the best would be smarty with UDC tuning, or efiLive

odd, my 04 has 260K OEM injectors, my 08 has 195K oem injectors. quality fuel, good filters.

whats the difference in premium diesel and #2 diesel?

First if I'm typing this from a cell phone. So forgive the errors please. And I'm going off the info I remember from him and me talking. Co worker had a 95 12v auto. He's had in the shop for a few months. Od quits. Tech quits. No od. They have put new ECM in a few times. And have traded every wire that should cause some of the issues. I told him to check for AC noise on the alternator. And a bad ground. He tells me it's a new alternator. But that doesn't mean much. Thoughts and suggestions?

anyone know about the EMF? the idea looks promising. but i'd like to hear from someone that has 100+K on a set.

those are second gen ball joints. i think the 3'rd gens are different with the AAM axles. are you talking about the "professional" AC delco ones?

this is for the 08. so it's a toss up between EMF and Dynatrac. i have the dyna's in the 04, and they are in great shape only 25K but still. both are giving awesome reviews online. anyone here have any thoughts on them?

agree on the 9000's, have them on the 95, and i gotta say, it's not bad, rides nice. i have no idea what they are adjusted to. but it's smooth ride.

here i have 3 of them, kinda like a hobby to me now. still my favorite is the 04, i just LOVe this truck. my 08 is a towing monster!! the 95 is, well a 95 12V, runs strong, drives nice, but it's still a 95. with over 300K on it. it'll likely become the wood cutting truck. i sure don't NEED 3 cummins trucks, but i'm lucky enough to be able to afford them. so i do. if i had to choose, i'd have to be the 04. 250K and yeah, i love that truck.

Thanks, i can do some ok work from time to time, it's more like you said baby sitting now though. i let my guys do most of the work. typing and seeing home owners is a full time job.

I don't have any really good ones of the tables, for some odd reason. i switched from apple to linux and most of the pics are still on the macbook. here are a few, and i'll throw in some of the log houses i painted/stained if any one wants to see. here its been filled with the clear casting agent, and sanded ready for lacquer. this is what the voids looked like before filling with the clear casting agent. you can kinda get an idea what it'll look like from this pic. i attached more pics but they are not showing up. maybe need another post for them... Most of these are in 7+ million dollar log homes. yes those are real good nuggets in that table. old man said table was worth over 200 grand in gold alone.

gotta have a big saw for these old dead ones, i make tables from them. the 88 has a 59" bar with handle. full skip chain. it's beast for sure. this one is over 8 foot across.

great saw!!! sadly mine was stolen a few year ago. i still have a 026, 360, 066. 088, my favorite is still the 360, power to weight with a 20" 325 bar is about as perfect as it gets for me. nice find for sure!!!

next time i need bushing ima order the stuff and make my own urethane ones. i've watched a few videos on in, DeBoss garage did a nice one on it. i'll try that next.
