  1. So, how big is it? There were five people in it and I got this message:
  2. Shoot, I worked outside all one winter just a few years ago and the only time it got cold was when the temp was below about -10*F. Other than that it was balls to the walls on a pumping station for an oil pipeline. 10 hours was a short day....... Dark when we started at 7AM and dark when we stopped for the night.
  3. YEP!! Gonna take a bit to get used to though!
  4. This is going to sound stupid, but check your tranny fluid. If it gets a little low when you turn the oil sloshes and the pump sucks a bit of air. You straighten out and the fluid comes back like normal.
  5. That is actually what it is! If you had a total lack of heat nothing would move including you!
  6. Yea, seems like the more you try the more you go back....... Hang in there Russ. Things will improve.
  7. EEEEEwwwwwwwww.............Ya ain't lookin' ta join in are ya???
  8. Supposed top be the coldest night and day of the year...... Predicted low is -18* in town and the high is predicted to be -4* with a wind chill warning (35* to 45* below zero) that goes until Thursday.
  9. WalMart has ATF +4 for about $2 a quart less.
  10. Did you have lights scrolling like Edge said? If so you don't need to probe the wire.
  11. Best way is to use water that won't plug it up in the first place. I don't know how you would clean out the inside.
  12. You should be able to get a kit from NAPA that looks like this: http://s7d9.scene7.com/is/image/GenuinePartsCompany/NWM?$Product=GenuinePartsCompany/323225 Part number UP2248 and it is $6.59 here.
  13. Hm! Mine shows New Salem just west of Bismark on the south side of I 94. Yours points to the northern edge of SD. OK, If I zoom in (my fault for not doing so) it is real close to where it should be.......
  14. New Salem is just west of Bismark. Mandan is actually in between the two (closer to Bismark). Look here: https://maps.google.com/maps?oe=utf-8&client=firefox-a&q=new+salem+nd&ie=UTF-8&hq=&hnear=0x52d8022b8319731d:0x6fdaffb3f49c8a61,New+Salem,+ND&gl=us&ei=wy-lUuGKHKTgyQHyo4H4Bw&ved=0CJABELYD
  15. Why certainly! Bismark/Mandan is real close to the center of the state north to south and east to west. I can't figure out how google can be so far off on a major city like that, but I guess anything's possible.......
  16. Russ, I remember way back when..... When I used to run a couple of service stations EVERY SINGLE TIME we got a load of gas we had to stick the tank and we had a paste to put on the stick to check for water. If the paste changed color water was present and we could tell how much water there was.
  17. And also probably cheaper that what Cummins wants for them too!
  18. Yep, that is what he means! Turn the key on and see if you have power on your additional wire.
  19. Make sure you check the hoses at the t-case real close. It kind of sounds like a cracked line for the release.
  20. Sorry I didn't mean to make anyone sound like they didn't know what they posted about. It is hard to 'read' intonation and intention in internet postings.
  21. That looks to be a bit more that just a number.
  22. That explanation sounds a bit bogus to me. If that was the case there should be a lot more fuel related issues in the fall. If there was that much water in the fuel don't you think it would settle out in your tank?
  23. I wish it was only 2%. Here we could have up to 10% state mandated bio. I have also ran B99 more than once also. It makes my truck run smoother, but the power and mileage are down slightly, my truck hazes a lot at an idle with it, and the exhaust stinks like you are burning cooking oil. You don't really notice the loss of power until you go back to diesel. I have not had any issues with water or plugging of my fuel filter as a result of running bio.
  24. Strange, my 1996 Jeep works like a charm and my daughter's 1998 Ram works like it is supposed to also.
  25. Do you mean with home made BIO? With commercial BIO they say it will pick up water from the tank and deposit it in your fuel filter.
