  1. 1693 is a code in another module. Which means there are more codes. Did you adjust the bands?
  2. I would get codes pulled with a scanner. Whats fuel pressure? Will a quick shot of ether make it start?
  3. What year? Ive never replaced them with injectors but i think it was the 98-99 that they say you should replace.
  4. Its only applies to 4x4 and not all of them either
  5. If the stuff you said isnt working, then its ignition related. Try tilting the steering column up and down while the key is in the run position. Take the steering column shroud off and check the wires and connector there.
  6. I would say something in ignition side, see if your getting power down to the starter when cranking.
  7. What he said^^^ . Also can you smell a sweet smell either inside or outside the vehicle? Does the inside of you windshield have a film on it? Is your carpet wet on the passengers side?
  8. 34 gallon if shortbox. 35 if longbox
  9. We always seen worn out switches from people having lots of keys and junk on their key rings. Also pull the steering column covers and check the main wiring connector. Ive seen that loose and cause weird things.
  10. http://www.cumminsforum.com/forum/3rd-gen-tech-articles/150422-3rd-gen-popular-fuel-filter-data.html Lots better list
  11. Yep i bet thats it. My computer was xp (took a dump) and my laptop is vista if i remember right
  12. I cant get my computer to see my box to update the tune. The computer will see it then it will not see it. Any help would be appreciated
  13. Oh ya tappet cover. Mine leaks a spot about the size of a softball everytime i stop. One of these days it will get fixed
  14. If I'm thinking what you are describing, its your vacuum pump
  15. Could be pilot bearing, throw out bearing, clutch, syncros, u-joints.
  16. Maybe it does. I will have to look. If i remember right, the nut and adjusting screw look just like an raptor
  17. Correct they now have fluid but i do believe they still have a dpf. They just dont use fuel to clean the exhaust, thus saving fuel and wear on the engine. Best thing to do is get rid of all the emissions if you can
  18. Cummins says nothing below 10 but really nothing below 14
  19. Talked to a guy who was pulling a golf cart on a 4x8 trailer. He said his mileage went to $hit. Gotta remember with a gasser, more air means more fuel. I wish i could afford a new 1/2 ton diesel.
  20. Load a tune, screw off for awhile, and then return to stock. High idle/3 cylinder idle will be enabled
  21. On the 3rd gens that is true but I dont see why that would be the case on the second gens. The only way they couldnt do it is if chrysler got rid of the feature in the manual trans software. If i remember right the downloads were vin specific.
  22. Im going to be putting them on my pickup when it becomes steering repair time. I tried getting my last customer to do them but he decided just to go with parts house tie rods. If you do end up getting them, do a write-up.
  23. In western Nebraska we call this a breeze, it actually sucked today. Nothing like getting dirt blown into your eyes and your hat attempting to fly away.
