  1. I asked santa for one. Hopefully he brings it to me. Yours was a demo one right?
  2. I personally wouldnt trust jasper to work on my lawn mower. I have installed a couple engines from them and had nothing but problems
  3. I charge around 1300 installed depending on which pump. And even when i was at dodge with non warranty rate it was under 2000
  4. I cant remember the sizes. I think the new 4" is like 3.5" at the turbo and then flares to 4". It clamps right up to the turbo with no problems. And it should say that you can find free shipping.
  5. Get 4" turbo back exhaust wih muffler. You cant find it on the internet with free shipping for under 400. Ive used mbrp and silverline. He bigger down pipe will help it get rid of heat a little better. Ive done many 4 " on 2nd and 3rd gens and it isnt too loud. 5" is http://www.xtremediesel.com/MBRP4PerformanceSeriesTurboBackExhaustSystemS6100P.aspx
  6. The only thing I have used besides the two person method is those one way fittings I installed on my harley. They actually work really well. Just loosen a half turn and start pumping. What ever you do always remember to start right rear, left rear, right front, and finish at left front.
  7. Ive looked for the article but i cant find it. I dont need help since i have tore many cummins down just never had to do a tappet cover.
  8. Could only put 5 gallons of #1 in since my tank was almost full and cant drive it when its still gellinf. Drove it aroun town today since it was warm enough to "un-gel".
  9. Im not saying this is gonna cure fuel from gelling, im just trying to figure out a way to heat my fuel since my truck sits.outside 24/7. I notice i have good fuel pressure until that cold fuel gets to my sensor. So if i could plug my truck in while at work so that the fuel is atleast warm enough to make pressure. I would love to have good fuel but that isnt going to happen since i barely drive my truck right now since the tappet cover is leaking
  10. I think I might try pipe heater tape around the filters/hoses.
  11. I had the same exact message on mine the other day and went away after about 5 seconds and has never happened again. Finally got my truck started and good fuel pressure. Had to jump start it because it was completly dead
  12. I wonder how I could wire those heaters up so that they are on a timer. Just realized they are 12 volt so they would run off the truck battery. Would only want to run them for a couple hours in the morning
  13. Its 10 degrees warmer right now than it was all day. I cant remember it being this cold this early. Also cant remember it staying this cold. This stuff usually happens in late jan/early feb. We had a nasty snow storm in late october that put down over 4 feet of snow and killed thousands of cattle. Gotta be one of the worst in a long time
  14. Yes thats the adjustment bolt for the front band. 3/4 socket and T40 socket
  15. Call erick at Browns Diesel they built the last goerend i installed. He would be glad to give you advice
  16. Are you dead set on the sun coast? I really like Goerend Trans a lot better and you may be able to get it cheaper.
  17. Im buying some of those. Way better idea than mine
  18. Ive been debating on using a pipe heater cord and wrapping it around my airdog. Then getting some of that space blanket and wrapping that to hold in heat. Then just plug it in when I do my block heater. Im thinking that atleast i would be heating the fuel some. Im going to try these. http://utahbiodieselsupply.com/fuelfilterheater.php
  19. We are having lots of diesels gelling up out her in western nebraska. Its been getting to 20 below almost every night. The gas stations have no idea what kind of fuel they have. Mine will be sitting for a while because even with 911 (I hate using it too) my truck has zero psi
  20. A speed sensor code will not cause what you have. You may have a another code that isnt showing up without a scan tool
  21. That line is for the a/c it wont leak coolant. Check for pinhole leaks in the heater hoses
  22. That's pretty cool
  23. Air hammer, heat, and pry bars. Or you can use the power steering and wedge something to push on the rotor. Good penetrating oil around each stud.
  24. Im guessing you gelled up. Its been 10+ below this past week and a lot of guys around here are still running summer blend because the gas stations havnt switched over. My truck sat in my garage around 30 degrees and it started gelling up on my way to work. Needless to say my truck is sitting for a while until i can fix an oil leak and burn on the fuel
