  1. You dont need to pull the hub to get to abs sensor. You have to pull the abs before the hub. The hub is a one piece with four bolts. If you think the caliper was hard the hub will kill youI may have read wrong but hub and rotor are two pieces. Look for washers on the studs holding rotor on or it is rusted on and needs beat near the studs. But dont hit the studs
  2. I get to work on frozen trains again today. I think its going to be 11 above today but its suppose to snow today and tomorrow - - - Updated - - - I get to work on frozen trains again today. I think its going to be 11 above today but its suppose to snow today and tomorrow
  3. -25 this morning. -10 right now. I have so many clothes on i look like the kid from christmas story
  4. Ive had good luck with raptors/airdogs. Only have had two warrentied in the 2 dozen plus i have installed. The one that i have warrantied, i had the pumps in 3 days no questions asked. I personally run a airdog 2 165 on my truck. The problems pureflow was having is some idiot thought they needed to change the aeal design between the pump and motor. Well fuel ended up getting in the motors and shortening them out. So far so good on the updated design. The pumps i warrantied were installed 2 years ago or so and i have done many in the last two years with no problems. The best thing to do for any pump is to have a good fuel preasure gauge (i have an electronic and mechanical fp gauge). I cant remember the name of the company, maybe velocity, but they are suppose to have some nice pumps. But they are expensive. - - - Updated - - - Stay away from anything mounted on the engine. Heat/vibration kills pumps. Plus its easier on he pump to push fuel instead of pull fuel
  5. The only reason I can think im running summer is that the guys that drive their truck daily and running the same additive arent having problems. My fault for being dumb and not using the truck for a month. Got a tappet cover leaking and havnt had time to fix it wih all the other trucks i got to work on first.
  6. Yep 10 below today. My truck his gelled bigger than s#&t. Guess its my fault for not burning off the summer blend. Guesd i get to park in the garage tonight
  7. 4 below and been negative for the last 5 hours. Its suppose to be -18 until like 9am tomorrow. I can't wait to go into work and fix frozen trains all day.
  8. They used to be spray painted black, now its hard telling, unless there is a marking. The last dozen I have done look just like the stock bosch ones.
  9. I think your overthinking stuff. The fuel pump will only run if needed when cycling the key. And if yourtuck is running good with no problems, than dont worry about it
  10. You say you have 12 volts to the fan but do you have a ground? Also if the resistor goes bad, it will only work on high speed.
  11. Somewhere dodge has a tsb for proper idle times depending on load and driving. As you may know idleing is not good on these engines espcially 03 and newer. I have my turbo timer ser on my adrenaline for 350 in the winter and 300 for summer. When dding it usually shuts off when im about 20 yards from the truck.
  12. I have seen injectors ohm out bad all the time and only when warm. If its intermittent its definetly an injector. Ive had guys run hundreds of miles while smoking with no fuel in.oil and compression was still good. Could be like a 6.0 power stroke that I worked on once where they have two wires to open and two to close the injector. Well one of the pins for the close wire popped out of the connector and litterally filled he exhaust manifold with fuel. There was fuel dripping out of the bolts.
  13. Had another 6+ inches this morning. Was 7 degrees when i finally got around to scooping. Still 7 degrees as i type. Started the truck and went from 20 psi fuel pressure to 8 psi. Like a you know what i didnt realize this until about five minutes later. I havnt filled up in probably a month so i know im not running winter fuel. Also only running summer ratio of additive. So i added more additive and pulled it into the garage. Was getting lots of fuel flow when i opened the fuel filter housing drain. Started getting about 18 mlnow so hopefully i can get around to fuel up with either blend or #1. Suppose to be -17 tonight
  14. I shoveled snow twice today. Probably have 8 inches but its so cold its really light snow. Suppose to be negative temps here for the next week here
  15. One probe on one post and the other probe on the other post. You are testing the resistance of the wiring in the injector. You also need to change your meter to ohmsAlso disconnect the wiring from the injector because we are not testing that right now
  16. You need to ohm out #3 injector and wiring. Anything over 1 ohm is a bad injector. The ones i have seen are around 1.7. And you might as well check them all
  17. My 02 didnt have keyless but my 01 does. I cant remember exactly what is needed but it would need the keyless entry module and fobs
  18. Engines are all the same. Its all in the programming and injection pump
  19. My first pickup was a 92 pickup 3.0 v6 and that thing was a beast. I put 100,000 on it in 4 years and I sold it 6 years ago and i still see it driving around
  20. That is for an optional fuel pressure idiot light to tell you the filters need changed
  21. Buy a governor pressure sensor and solenoid it will be a night and day difference in the way it shifts. Also adjust your bands. I get my electronic parts from cascade transmission parts
  22. I always get the cheapest pads. Always had noisy brakes with expensive pads no matter what vehicle i installed them on
  23. I just traded in our 04 grand cherokee for a toyota sequoia. We needed more room and the prices were right for the trade in. I talked to the previous owner and he said something about a recall to inspect the frame rails for rust but havnt had a chance to look into it. The toyota market in western nebraska really has gone downhill. 10-15 years ago everybody wanted/was driving toyota pickups. But now you rarely see them.
  24. Oil pressure and fuel pressure are the same thing. Thats why i just used an oil pressure gauge. The copper tubing is just another fail safe over the plastic tubing since i am running fuel into the cab. I went with a mechanical gauge that way I always know pressure even if the electronic gauge goes out.
