  1. do you have any info on the added cooler you used on the front of the truck?
  2. thanks so much for getting back. So this adjustable pressure valve will adj. the pressure going to the wastegate allowing for more boost. Will this effect the engine getting too much pressure when you quickly get off the throttle and you hear the the waste gate open and can that be a problem
  3. got to be dumb. What exactly are we doing with $5 part. I believe I have a stick shift stock turbo on my automatic 98.5 truck. I have a hose that comes off the turbo and goes to what looks like a vacuum chambe with a rod. How can I benefit from this modification??
  4. even if you can not find the diagram, follow some of the lines, I had a couple of lines break near the firewall area that was an easy fix. the air conditioning vents did not work also.
  5. I put 4:10 in my Dodge from 3:50 with the 35" tires close to original gear ration BUT the tires are far heavier and wider and the milage goes down in my opinion.
  6. TO much work and money for a 9% gear change. not a good ideal.
  7. any chance of just putting the restrictor in with a ball valve to have further control
  8. Not sure but the high idle is for warm up? not sure what the purpose of the high idle is???
  9. if it all works out let us know the ebay seller that sells these parts. thanks ED
  10. sounds like the torque converter is in lock up, that will happen when you install a manual lock out switch and do no turn it off coming to a stop
  11. better to have some pressure in the system to reduce the amount of moisture you let in. Nitrogen is a good substitute mix with a little uv dye and pull the relay like said before. find the leak and change out the accumulator with the dryer gives you a head start on moisture removal, but not till you have found the leak and repaired. then you will need to evacuated the system and charge.
  12. thats not a very good vacuum BUT heat is your friend, you are trying to boil of the water/moisture in the system so heat and extend the time and could purge a few times with nitrogen or refrigerant (not politically correct) and re evacuate.
  13. over 40 at idle and goes to about 65 psi on the road.
  14. I happen to have 4" all the way back and that works fine no muffler no resonator or cat. So I would thing it would be very minimal to just have a pipe alone run to the back or cheaper off to side before the rear wheel. My truck did not come with a cat
  15. why isn't the pressure act like it does for you engine oil start up cold higher pressure and decreases as the oil warms.
  16. Now that I know what and where the PDC is I will put a relay controlled by the ignition on and have a place for Hot and Hot with ignition both with a small fuse box for each. thanks for the new info. sure beat going into the cab to get power at the fuse panel
  17. ok whats a PDC is it alway hot or ignition on hot. and where is it. need to wire up my coil wire for the relay for my air comp./air horn to a place and prefer not to hook to the battery.
  18. I was able to cut the ends off and put good crimp connectors on with double wall with adhesive on. I happen to have a quality crimper that made easy work of it. did my truck and my boys that was about 4 years ago still good used I think it was Hummer battery post connectors that has bolt at both ends making it easy to connect all the connectors. Was able to salvage all the cables. On my offroad buggies I have use welding cable with good success but they do not require a large amp load.
  19. how about turning on the exhaust brake if you have one.
  20. we did it in about 2 and half ours made a small tool to pop them out then spent another less than an hour to adj. the valves while we in there. I have a dirt mover that want to trade some earth moving for me to put in some bigger injectors may do it for him. was easier then some jobs. still afraid to pull my leaky ps pump and vac. pump just have to do a lot of reading and videos and go at it.
  21. I have a obdII blue tooth reader for Android under $25
  22. any easy place to purchase right now I use walmart twc3 outboard 2 stroke.
  23. I did the same thing on an 1980 Chevy dually and I believe they were oil fed from the rear end lube and seized up and destroyed the rear axle bearing a hub. not sure how they work on my dodge 98.5
