  1. Op doesn't care he just wants his truck running again.
  2. err I wouldn't buy any of them from him honestly. The smarty might be vin locked, the quad or ez might be missing parts. All 3 will do the same thing, I am not a fan of the smarty timing personally.
  3. Found 3 major boost leaks.... Gonna have to rerun the 0-60 I am betting EGT's will be down, boost will be up.
  4. not at this point, most of the fueling, black smoke, is based on map. we want to know if your map is stuck reading a high value, if this is the case your gauge will just stay at 54 inhg
  5. Does that value increase as you get on it? or does it stay at 54 inhg?
  6. map, if you can add PID's we have documented what to add for that sensor per year
  7. mods would be helpful to know. Next check for boost leaks. Codes? do you have a live data tool to read what the sensors are doing?
  8. It will work fine, many have done it. If it is cheap / free do it. Otherwise just replace the so with a so.
  9. what all parts do you need?
  10. well duh, you didn't say anything that included "lgbtqiapk" end sarcasm
  11. If you go with a quadzilla ADR there is NO POINT in getting anything less than 7 x .010's the truck will drive WAY better with big injectors and tuning that controls the fueling. by running small injectors you have to run a ton of duration to get that hp goal.
  12. I have tried a few times but have been unable to get it to stall yet. rpms get pretty low, but the engine recovers pretty snappy.
  13. whats one more time popping?
  14. @dieselautopower So after a few days I think 330bar with the 7 x .012 vco's is the best overall setup, HOWEVER after a few weeks the 330 bar's settled some and were worse than they started. same for the 305 bar, they got really smokey with no tune changes after a few weeks. The 350 bar run stupid clean ( I REALLY like that). my hope is that after a few weeks the pop pressure settles down to 340ish bar and they act like the 330 bar did when I first tested them. I am too lazy to swap injectors again back to 330 bar. the 350 bar dont really have a huge draw back for my, but generally speaking I think they are too high for most. Without testing to see where pop lands after a few months I dont think you should be selling pop that high to start to the masses. I dont see a real issue with 350+ bar, but the performance and perks go away at 350 bar.
  15. We really dont know what happens with pop pressure on such a small injector. So we dont have a recommendation. The only testing any of us have done is with 7 x .012's and bigger. Unless Mike get's seat time with his injectors, repopped at higher pop I can't say you should do anything other than normal configuration.
  16. well I am not sure where my log went for 305 bar at 55, but we do have the graphs stll. Here is 330 vs 350 bar at 55 Here is 330 vs 305 bar 55 we can see that really the perks from 330 bar went away at 350 bar. EGT's are up again with 350 bar. Given what I have seen so far, I think 330 bar is about the limit for pop on the 7 x .012's I am running in terms of overall perks. The 350 bar injectors do run a fair bit cleaner than the 330bar and WAY cleaner than the 305 bar. But the 350 bar fueling about %5 less whereas the 330 seem to fuel less than %2 less.
  17. I really dont think there is a need to increase pop on small injectors. I dont think you will find anything other than issues. My theory is that as injector size increases you gain more room to play with pop before you run into stalling / idle / poor running. Add to it that we are still VERY early in the process for results. I really can't in good faith recommend anyone up pop pressure without more data. Some of us like to mess with stuff, like Mike and myself, but hte average guy shouldn't jump on the band wagon yet. at set of 7 x .010's, provided they are built well, should run really good at 300 bar pop. The perks dont start to show until you get higher in the injector size. There MAY be MPG perks, but again WAY to early to know that.
  18. I am still a bit shocked as to how clean these things run. Towed the horse trailer yesterday, no egt issues, I couldn't even make it smoke if I wanted to at this point. I didn't have a chance to log anymore since I left the trailer connected last night. I will try to do the 55 mph testing and the od lugged pull tomorrow. I think cruise egt's will be up and I think spool time will be up as well, maybe a touch faster than stock bar.
  19. except his isn't rust and a pile hahaha. @JLaw81 no prob we can grab a beer or something and I will get your setup. Easy as pie.
  20. Welcome,. I am just down the road from you.
  21. Nominal How accurate do you need to know?
  22. So the results are pretty much the same regardless of the tune level. stack was less, not sure why but interesting.
  23. As long as you dont have a p0216 code the quadzilla timing value should be pretty close. I dont know what the reference point is for timing, IE 0* TDC or -30* tdc etc. I just know how much timing advance is commanded.
  24. I would love to see them. I would really curious to #9 vs the stack . I would think those would be about = in terms of how fast they hit peak duration, but the timing of the Smarty would have been nearly static on a dyno and the ez would have been much more dynamic.
  25. Data logging of the Smarty is here the xzt and ez are nearly the same, both boost fool. If you want more "driveablity" than the ez offer then get bigger injectors.
