Testing Injector Pop Pressure in the real world
19* today and it popped off easy as pie.

V2 2.7 long idle
Man o man I love this flash. Jump in the truck, drive to the store down the block, key off jump out, truck keeps running, spend 5 min inside come back out to a warm truck, key on take off, key off at the house turbo timer kicks in and the truck shuts off once egt's hit 374*. It's the little things.

Turbo question
The hy35 runs out of air at ~30 psi the hx35 is good to about 35 psi.
-
V2 2.7 long idle
yep, remember set turbo timer egt to 374* it wont work otherwise
-
V2 2.7 long idle
this should run for no less than 20 minutes ( bumped the timer limit)
-
V2 2.7 long idle
yep, if it hits warmup temp, then it will kick out of idle state( I hope lolol)
-
V2 2.7 long idle
yes, but then you have to set it to 100*F. I wanted to have EGT's be reasonable that the turbo timer worked when the truck was warm, but have it long idle if ECT was below the warmup setting. I dont like having to adjust the turbo timer setting if I wanna jump out at the store or whatever

V2 2.7 long idle
nope, I dont trust the general public to use this without a run down of what happens if you set egt turbo timer to 374*. I kinda wanted this for myself, so I coded it then thought maybe others might like it.

V2 2.7 long idle
V2 2.7 long idle View File This flash is a one off flash that contains all the stable functions of the normal 2.7 V2 flash, but it has a built in long idle function for keeping the truck running on key off, IF and ONLY IF, EGT turbo timer is set to 374*f. The truck will idle until coolant temps come up to whatever your warmup temp is set to, regardless of what EGT's fall to . This gives you the ablity to start the truck, key off, lock the doors, and let the truck idle, for warmup, while your keys are in your pocket. Typical if tps > 0 will kill the truck as well. It is somewhat tested, but there may be unknown bugs. Submitter Me78569 Submitted 02/19/2018 Category Quadzilla Adrenaline V2 Flash Files

Testing Injector Pop Pressure in the real world
Another day of temps below ~15* and another day of hard starts when cold. I still dont know if it is related to too little timing or the pump not able to inject at 350 bar when cold. I am leaning towards the first though. Be warned if you go above ~340 Bar you will have issues starting when the temp gets down near 0. It is as if a light switch is flipped.

Version 2.7 final
I think quadzilla released the json update for the app.

Tyler's 4th Gen
you need warp for delete tunes, the smarty udc pro won't do it. It is a smarty device though, just sold from outside of the EPA's reach.

the oss is on the rear tailhousing, the Nuetral safety switch is right by the gear select lever, above the pan.

Upgrades for Towing
there is no reason to get less than 7 x .010's on a hx35. without a quadzilla you will control egts with your right foot. I prefer vco and bosch body.

Need some quadzilla direction.
The yellow turbo icon? If the turbo timer is enabled yes.

Sesnor is shot. This happened to me. That yellow turbo icon is for the turbo timer.

Yes it is possible, no you shouldn't do it. The truck can't be driven with that type of tune and it is pretty dangerous in terms of controlling what happens if you touch the throttle.

3.32* is the timing min in the ecm. 8* is the min allowable timing for the quadzilla, which is why you seen it go from 3.32 to 8*, now the way the quadzilla takes over is different so you dont see tha tflop until after the truck is running.

Quadzilla V2 Custom Tunes
@SGTmurph no worries. Given that you have 6 x .013's I would not be that concerned about low end wiretap. Tune your canbus fueling to handle the 0-30 area of the map. It works much better, then use wiretap above that to extend fueling. Keep in mind that %75 of your overall fueling comes from canbus and %25 comes from wiretap. You should be able to use canbus alone to fuel as hard as you want. I would start with some of the tunes I have created for big injector trucks and go from there.

pump min is at what point you want wiretap to start. So if you have min wiretap at %20 then you wont get any wiretap until %20 tps is reached. the more you increase min wiretap and decrease max wiretap the more compressed the wiretap fueling curve will be. I normally suggest using 0 for min and 100 for max so you have a smoother wiretap fueling curve. there are better ways to make wiretap more aggressive. If you want ot control what tps wiretap comes on you set the Pump low boost scale psi. This setting tells the quadzilla what PSI to allow wiretap to happen. If you leave this at 0 psi then you will get wiretap at 0 psi, if your min tps setting is lower than your current TPS input. If you want even more wiretap you can set the min pump tap fueling Perc. this setting tells the quadzilla "at WOT give me no less than XX% of wiretap" You say you want full wiretap really earyly, but I have to ask why? HOWEVER please consider that an overfueled truck is no faster than a properly tuned truck. I have run MANY tests with good tunes and overfueled tunes, they both datalog nearly identical 0-60 times. Your injectors are too big to really be needing a 5 x 5 tune, all you are doing is making smoke without additional power. Please remember the butt dyno is a liar, it only tells you if torque changes, not how much. Here's one of the logs I have taken note the blue columns and green columns. blue = overfueled tune, green is my daily tune They both reach 60 mph at nearly the same point.

A tune on 2.5 base will work nearly the same on 2.7. No tuning variable changes.

Testing Injector Pop Pressure in the real world
That was my situtation as well, until temps got below ~10*f. It was almost like a light switch honestly, very confusing. I wish I could mess with that, but sadly the quadzilla is "off" when cranking. I honestly dont even know if the ecm commands anything during cranking or if the vp is handling that all....I kinda think the vp is in charge of that.

Testing Injector Pop Pressure in the real world
the cold start issue has me confused. I honestly think that we might be having issues with too little timing at cranking as a result of too high of pop pressure resulting in issues starting when cold cold. It seems as if you need to crank for ~20 seconds before there is enough heat in the fuel to get it to pop off. the 330 bar injectors didn't seem to have issues, but these 350 bar do when temps get down near 0*f
