  1. After some feedback from various people @Quadzilla Power was good enough to bump the canbus low limit for 0 -4 psi settings to %125 rather than %115. Really for stock injector trucks only, but that does mean that Torque mangement should be overcome if you set your race tune to be %125 off the line.
  2. This really should be moved into a new thread " engine and turbo future tech" haha there are numerous things that could be put into place to help get efficencies up. but I still think the onset of electric is around the corner. Batteries are not there yet, but a small effiicent diesel motor running a generator takes care of that. As for combustion engines I would love to see someone start making use of rotary valves to get rid of the need for a complete valve train. Independant valve timing / and speed would be pretty cool. Compression brake on %50 of the cylinders or even cylinder disable with compression release. As for turbos I have been watching some of the electric assist turbos. Quick zap of power to get the turbo in it's map then exhaust gas does the rest. I think Honda was toying with it.
  3. Well it is important to know what the ECM is seeing for values. I would buy a live data tool like a cheap elm327 device or a obdlink mx device. This will help troubleshoot your issues.
  4. does your Quadzilla have a screen or just the pod? I would connect itback again and use it to watch the tps etc if possible It has a much faster sample rate
  5. I think we will see the reduction of diesel and rise of electrical in the next 10 years. Things like turbo technology will slow and we will see the onset of the adoption of electric engines in pretty much all passenger vechiles. I can't wait to have a 1 ton with no trans and a nice torquey motor....or 4 torquey motors, one per wheel. talk about ABS
  6. were you able to find a good starting % for your setup?
  7. put some projectors in there and you will see why controlled HIDs are awesome.
  8. It should. Is your boost elbow adjustable or preset
  9. Sounds like the edge isn't boost fooling
  10. Np once you get your starting point % figured out let us know and we can help build a tune from there
  11. @TFaoro was but he is up here at 7000' altitude and a SO pump. No one has run it with a monster pump yet, that I know of, so you will need to figure out how much wiretap you can use. The key part is figuring out where you starting point is. I would guess ~%75 but that's only a guess that I would use based on my driving style. Keep in mind that how you want the truck to drive will greatly alter the tune.
  12. Work through this article. The more you understand the happier you will be Read it over, watch the video, then follow the tuning guide at hte bottom. Most importantly you need to find your starting pointl.
  13. Did you follow the tuning guide in the tuning article?
  14. that's what I am thinking.
  15. Dunno call and ask them. It is impossible to think that AC noise is good for a DC device. Look at the various devices out there and the circuity in place to protect them from AC noise.
  16. No clue, just curious if all remans had this
  17. Is this standard on rebuilds?
  18. Trouble shoot using the link I posted.
  19. If you had a P0237 then something is up.
  20. Check the timing piston for silicone
  21. Effective what is happening is the ecm is asking for a lower and lower fueling command until it "bottoms" out then it is cutting fuel in a last ditch effort to get rpms down. Since the HO psg is calibrated to convert the fueling message according to smaller plungers it needs more fuel to idle.
  22. Quadzilla will flash it for you if you ask them to. But it is a VERY good idea to setup your computer to flash tunes as well. You never know if something will get updated or maybe you just want to try out an older tune.
  23. This is great to hear. I am so far beyond happy with my setup currently so I an sure you will enjoy it as well.
  24. Again LED is really not that great when it comes to headlights. they don't throw light worth a darn and they put out significantly less light than they are advertised to. Don't believe the " 8000 lumen" claims you see. as of yet I have yet to see a plug and play LED that can come anywhere close to Xenons
  25. https://tiresize.com/comparison/ use that Again unless you swap a different front axle under the truck you can't put 3rd gen brakes on it. Physically different mounting.
