  1. Cool thanks. I would call Spencer and ask him whats up. I was gonna look at a wire diagram and see what I find. did you extend the wire for the 12v lead? Might be worth probing the big quad connector for power on that pin to make sure the box is getting power. @Carbur8tr Also if the Quad reverts to lvl0 it also reverts to the default tune...or I think it does.
  2. What fuse is you're tapping? What are the odds that something funky in the CTM causes a prolonged 12v that goes away after an hour or some given period of time? Maybe somehting with the lights I dunno just thinking out loud. Does it revert back to lvl0 if you turn the truck off for say 30 seconds? Onyl thing I am thinking of is that there used to be some trucks that just would not hold the setting using fuse 9 or 7 or whatever it is you are supposed to use. They switched to another fuse and bam it started working. this was a number of years ago, but it comes to mind since you have a late truck
  3. He used the ecm from a late truck also so he needed the harness.
  4. To be clear you are talking about the Power Level reverting back to LVL0 after you turn the truck off?
  5. It never is an easy answer. Use the datalogging feature to get an idea about how it work. you can export ot spreadsheet and build a graph of the fueling curve. that visual-ness will give you a better understanding of how the fueling works.
  6. You actually can't flash the pcm, it needs to be a blank unit and brought to dodge.
  7. The ECM will command a fueling message of 3600 in stock form. So since 4095 is the max 4095/3600 = 1.13 or 113% at WOT fuel fuel form the ecm will get you to the max, However we typically want to max it out sooner, so you use a higher % before peak ecm fueling to allow for max fuel sooner.
  8. Its on my list of stuff to get to. I need to make sure the words match and the % match the final configuration. LOW limit Psi is not the same at TPS pump min. TPS pump min is to prevent wiretap when throttle is below that %. Psi low limit is purely based on boost.
  9. VP's can be interchanged without issues. I would be more concerned about the crank sensor and cam sensor vs the wiring and ecm.
  10. If it is set to 0% then you get no wiretap until your low limit psi is reached. Think of the low limit psi as the point where wiretap comes on as normal, think of the % as being how much wiretap you want before normal wiretap is reached. The math I was using is just how the smoothing feature is configured i the code. Nothing you can change there, I was just showing you how wiretap ramps up once you hit that low limt. We can't just say "hey we are at xpsi let fuel rip" I would...and doescause the backend to let loose.
  11. lvl 3 only uses canbus tuning. lvl 4 will use wiretap starting at the psi you have configured HOWEVER if your Low Limit % is set above 0 you will get that % of wiretap before the low limit psi is reached. So your example of 8 psi %8 From 0-8 psi you will get %8 of wiretap, 8-11 psi you will get 33% of %100 - %8 = 92 /3 or ~38% wiretap ( %30 = orginal %8 ) 11-14 psi you will get anotheer 31 % so 38 + 31 = 69 % 14- 17 psi you will get the last 31 %
  12. lvl 0 stock lvl1 = power reduction mode lvl2 = 0-10 psi of what you posted lvl3 = 0-30 psi of what you posted lvl4 += 0-30 of what you posted plus wiretap.
  13. I would love to see the Obamacare gone, I would love to see tax law simplified, and I would love to see Trump elect and listen to intelligent and well rounded cabinet members..... I hope he does genuinuely have the interest of the country at heart. He obviously has been right all along in terms of what the pusle of the country has been.
  14. Hahahaha there are actually a few lines of code in the new tuning commented with Tyler's wish is my command.... Also really anything over 125-130% up top will max out the fueling message. The ECM can and will ask for a fuel message of 3600.
  15. Drywall and lead based paint.
  16. @dripley I have a coop for you...or a spare room if you like.
  17. Yep it can idle until it hits that 20 minute time and it will shut off. The truck is none the wiser. As for the IAT fooler, I think it would still help as your Daily driving at lower speeds will still increase due to the fooler. IF the phone breaks the quad iwll remember whatever setting it was on. If you pull the power to the quad it will revert back to lvl0
  18. I would check to make sure that the Key in the pump shaft hasn't broke , crushed etc. It sure sounds like a timing issue.
  19. Cruise control is working for late year trucks. Took a lot of time to get figured out but it is working.
  20. The Lie o meter is based on serval calculations. You will notice it will read a lot less than normal if your tune is starting and cruise below %100 one on of the main calcs for the mpg meter is the fueling message ,the tuning % for each PSI level directly alters the fueling message. This means the PCM doesn't lknow how much fuel is being used. old tuners pretty much always fueled over %100, as is apparent by the lie o meter, so that is why they read higher mpg. 1. DTC are not able to be read over the canbus plug under the hood. DTC stuff is for later year trucks. 2. Just set your turbo timer to 100*, it will idle for up to ~20 minutes ( that is a silent feature I put in when I first started working on it) 3. You really wont see a big MPG difference based on how much fueling you do in the tune, within reason. The truck still needs x amount of power to move down the road. I would just make a tune that you like and keep it on that. The cruise timing function is what will get MPG up. I would guess that underfueling a significant amount would cause mileage to drop. Lvl1 is really for emissions or anti theft. 4. pretty umch true any level should work find for mileage assuming timing is in the range that you configure it to be. Thanks, it means a lot.
  21. I really hope so, I would rather have it -20 than 90 above
  22. I pinned this as I feel like it will help a lot of people see it. As I said above Please print out the PDF or use another computer so you can follow the steps. The process does work if you follow the steps.
  23. shoulda went artic cat ..... I know nothing about snowmobiles anymore hahahha I am starting to get a little worried about winter, been mid 60's in november..... MUST HAVE WINTER.
