  1. I have an ex that would suggest the crazy side doesn't go high enough
  2. This is how I see TM vs D setting in the logging. This crude example is as if you went from cruise state / idle to snap input of throttle and held at that throttle input as RPM raise. TM = how much fuel to command at first throttle input , D is the amount of fuel that is commanded a few seconds after that snap throttle input
  3. dont free rev take it out and drive it, does it still have issues?
  4. Ive had REALLY poor luck with those things. I prefer the google FI choice of the phone using a combo of WIFI / Sprint / Tmobile / us cellular depending on what is around.it works really slick and since it is all VOIP it can jump between any of the above when needed. IE it has wifi calling built into the foundation of the network.
  5. Uninstall your app completely and reinstall. I think some data is getting mixed up and causing all sorts of issues.
  6. change light throttle to 1.5* and see how it does. I would like to see a datalog if possible of the issue
  7. Went up to visit my mom in Canada this last week. 1200 miles each way. Some mixed 55, 65, and 80 mph driving. I gotta say I am impressed with the truck. MPG is as follows for each mph according to the lie-o-meter, but I am inclined to think it is pretty close when I look at mileage vs gallons burnt. I didn't keep exact records, but I know I filled up ~2.5x each way. 55: 25 mpg 65: 22 mpg 80: 18 mpg SOOO much nicer than the 2nd gen, it chews through mileage with much less stress than my old truck.
  8. No you cant. However i am guessing thats not the issue. Post your entire tune please.
  9. Between 1000 and 1500 only the timing slider is considered. Light throttle and load timing are not used. Drop your 1500 timing by 2*
  10. Hugely Ddp 150's where dirtier than my 250 hp dap injectors using the same tune and my truck was at 7000' altitude his was at sea level. Ddp is junk
  11. Nothing will work unless your gauges are working. Check your datalink plug again. If that checks put get the quad looked at. As fpr tunes. What are your goals?
  12. What can't you figure out? Have you tried any of the tune we have posted? https://mopar1973man.com/forum/186-4k-quadzilla-adrenaline-tunes/ have you looked at the tuning guide?
  13. supposed to be good, but Idont know that it flows significantly more than a he351cw, You could install a 351 for ~$500 said and done. hard to recommend a more expensive turbo that preforms the same. the he351cw is a very underrated turbo for a vp truck that does towing duties and Daily duty stuff
  14. and you have control over timing and injectors that aren't spraying at the wrong angle. the 14 can work, but the 12 will spool faster. I would also argue a wastegate should be used. having a wastegate prevents overspeeding without having to oversize the turbo to prevent overspeed. VP trucks make power at 1800-2200 rpms, not 3k + rpms most want to size a turbo that reaches peak area in the turbo maps at this point. regardless, for the goals of the OP a set of 7 x .010s from DAP and a HE351cw will meet his goals for less than the cost of the sxe turbo.
  15. 7 x .010's are generally speaking the best injectors for a DD truck.
  16. Honestly if I was you I would opt for a he351cw. It will flow ~450 hp, it is very tough, it is cheap, and it will spool faster than the 62 or 64 mm sxe turbos. If you want an sxe I would opt for a 62/68/12 It would flow ~ 500 hp maybe a bit more and spool faster than the 14 cm housing version. You will loose some top end, but every post of yours so far seems more geared to lower rpm ranges. Your injectors should be replaced first though. You will not be able to tune out the smoke of them regardless. They are not correctly designed for street use. DDP uses the WRONG spray angle nozzles. remember a turbo diesel engine at or near 0 psi might as well be a NA motor, A new turbo WILL NOT help offidle smoke. A new turbo might help clean up smoke faster once it is lit
  17. If I remember hte wiretap map you don't get %100 above ~3000 rpm. if you wanted to see %100 you would need to be over 50 psi at ~2200 rpm.
  18. Personally I prefer using a smaller turbo with a wastegate on a DD or towing duty truck. The waste gate can open and bleed off excess gas at the top of the rpm range without lossing low end spooling. Depending on what you use the truck for I would say a 12 cm housing would be a much better choice than the 14 cm. What does your truck do?
  19. Are you at %100 throttle? How about boost? Rpms? Many things play into how much wiretap. As you noticed too much wiretap can cause issues. Are you unhappy with somethinng other than seeing %90 rather than %100? Just because you are only running 90% doesnt really mean you are lacking anything. One could say since you are only using 5000 for fuel stretch you are only using %75 wiretap.....
  20. Ddps will be smokey regardless. Get new injectors. Remember the turbo has no bearing on anything when at or near 0 psi. Ie offidle situations
  21. We dont even know what size turbo he has. We do know he has a smarty and ddp injectors. Too much fuel will choke a turbo. Typically 150's are a perfect fit for a 60-62 mm turbo assuming the exhaust size is well setup for a vp
  22. A bigger turbo will make smoke worse on the bottom end as a bigger turbo will take longer to light. Your smoke issues are %100 related to the smarty. Period.
  23. Using the quaddzilla. Do a wot run until it dies and export the datalog from the run.
