Show me your Frantz Toilet Paper Bypass Oil Filter Setup!
I prefer the bypass filters to be out of the engine bay, you get a little more oil cooler effect from it. But I am not sure about the size and mounting requirements of the Frantz.

two cycle oil and?
I want to add that shortly after I started using 2-stroke my exhaust brake wouldn't fully close at higher rpms, I had to depress the clutch to get it to close and get full back pressure. I quit using 2 stroke and it instantly got better, not 100% I think I need to pull it apart and clean it. I only ran 2 stroke for a few thousand miles at a lean 448:1. My soot in my tailpipe was also stickier while using 2 stroke. Lots of benefits from 2 stroke, but there can be negative side effects. Idle operations can cause incomplete combustion, which can lead to deposits.

I don't. The Fleetguard and Donaldson are both 10um absolute.

I understand why your saying what your saying. I just can't find anything other than that chart to back it up.

two cycle oil and?
Your posts are the only ones I can find that say the cetane decreases power output. I have spent lots of time looking today, and your posts are all I find that show a direct relationship between Cetane and BTU's. If more Cetane means less BTU's why does "Premium Diesel" run a much higher Cetane rating? The reason Cummins wants more Cetane with #1 is that in the winter the air is colder, and it needs to ignite quicker.

Who all is in Idaho?
I'm here in the great state!

two cycle oil and?
Increasing the cetane is actually a good thing, higher cetane means that the fuel ignites sooner, so you get a longer burn which produces more power off the same amount of fuel, just like a timing advance. I haven't seen anywhere that states you will get less power with a Cetane boost, all say the opposite, unless you get above the cetane number required by the mfgr. If 2-stroke drops the cetane number then you actually get less power out of it, since the fuel ignites slower.

Over engineered boost regulator
Looks good..So what kind of boost to you sustain if you hold WOT with the WG open?

What filter do you use? But I don't think so.

Are you running the older 33585 or the newer 33585XE?If your running the XE its 8um absolute, so not bad... Consider the Baldwin PF7977 for 5um filtration.

Well crap, your doing everything right. What filter are you using in the OE housing?

I think the new FASS Platinum is great for folks that want a reliable pump, a little more flow and better filtration. The single filter on the Platinum offers better filtration than both filters on the AD and FASS combined, and its cheaper.. about the price of a Raptor or HPFP.I haven't heard much about the DDRP, but would suspect its decent on a bone stock truck...

Figuring drag, HP, and MPG in one calculator...
Performance Planning Card cards? Yeah, the one a year long hand sucks! Thank god for the PPC program! I had to do one a day at the MTP course this spring, by hand.. I honestly think that was the most annoying part of the course..

Those were my initial thoughts as well.. What are you running for a lift pump?

Thats some cool info, but I wonder how much modern emissions effects that?

Helpful Spreadsheets
Take what you want, and disregard the rest. I built that years ago when I was doing a lot of rock crawling, so 4LO was more important. Not so much now, but I left it. If I go to change a tire size i'll put the current tires on one side, and the proposed on the other, so I can see the effects it will have.

Wife fueled the Truck!!
My truck isn't a work truck, I just keep silly logs :-) I agree 1000%, modern ATF is designed specifically NOT to burn, and has a combustion temp 3-4x higher than diesel. So at low combustion temps (ie. idle, low cruise) the ATF combustion is incomplete which can lead to deposits and nasty crap on your injectors. If your looking for more lube for your truck, not sure what year?, then look at 2-stroke for the 24V, and one of the popular diesel additives for HPCR's.

No more Dodge Sprinter Van
Not that I have a need for one, but thats too bad, they look like a nice work rig.

Going the VNT route..
It will be quite a while before its bolted up, but I will get some good pics when it gets here. I haven't played with one yet either..And for you guys with older trucks, Fleece has controllers for the 98.5-07 trucks right now, and will have the 12V model soon (TPS and MAP will need to be installed on the truck)

Painted the OEM Wheels black today..
Mine are the alum, so no fake chrome surface. I didn't, the guys I know that have done it to their wheels haven't done it either with good results. I figure if it doesn't work out I'll take a 3M pad to em and repaint.
