Just upgraded to hx35, not happy
Good thought about the larger exhaust housing ...... could be modified ....... but then technically the EGT should be lower in the top end ... but hard to say without knowing if the turbine side was modified. Boost leaks could push EGT up - but he's hitting good boost on stock injectors ....... When you gate opens at ~32 ...... do you lose power .... almost like defuel limit ? I ran a s-hx40 on RV275's and +75hp ....... the lag wasn't really that bad ....

Buying 99 dodge ram with 24v
Just factor $900 for a new vp44 in the negotiation price if your that worried.

Just upgraded to hx35, not happy
Most likely before you were gated .... and when you hit 20psi the gate opened and you hit a wall (performance and fuel wise) ..... all the turbine hot air was allowed out ...... but not building boost eitherNow your able to push the MAP and the gate doesn't open till late ......... but your out of the MAP range now ...try adjusting the actuator or the boost elbow so that the gate opens around 25psi - not 35pis ..... you can test this with compressed air ...... then redrive and let us know.

if you warp/bend/mame a connector tube when installing injectors is it obvious?
From CFHere are the potential issues:1. connector tube Oring. Will cause a external leak at fitting but generally causes hard start from fuel drain back into tank. 2. Damaged metal seal at end of connector tube causes leak into return system.3. Oring on injector. A leak here will dump profuse amounts of fuel into crankcase and engine will run reansonable well. bottom end failure will result.... 4. copper washer issues. Extra washer, resused washer, missing washer, or improperlly torqued clamp, can cause pressureation of fuel tank by leaking into return system. Can cause severe flooding of cylinder, severe miss, internal engine damage, and probablly more 5. Damaged tip or defecctive nozzle on injector. Cause engine miss, white smoke, cylinder damage, fuel flooding crankcase, sharp engine knocking and probablly more issues

There's a return system for the fuel - think if you bust the seal in the connector tube it will either leak at the head or return .. Think the main issue is if you have an injector "stuck" ..... Check for fuel leaks with paper towels or even powder .... #6 is hard to see ....

Pretty sure the internal dash transmission temp light would have triggered in that case. Think it's around 240 degrees .... Can't remember exactly... But Another good guage to have

Cooling system not able to keep up
Yeah good point in the puke bottle etc Also when was radiator last flushed/serviced and was fan running fine ?

Cooling system not able to keep up
Prolonged High egt will result in high coolant temps ..,. Get an egt guage 1st

Forsale right after VP replacement
Just buy a truck where you price in having to replace the tranny and vp44 as well. Odds are for one reason or another you will have to anyway

Just did my 1st window replacement in concrete house. What a bummer. Hard to get out , harder to get back in and clearance issues with concrete aren't a lot of fun.

Got a new toy today
- Got a new toy today
Generally thats the case. The other is simply people get tired of electronics/vp44 and want a consistent/reliable alternative - thats the p7100. Another is boredom/something different. You can switch out all your electronics and cores and parts and not be too $$ heavy into a conversion. If my vp44 goes ..... Id likely take consider this route. RYan - make sure you collect a full list of parts and do a "sticky" how to on here. I know theres lots on CF - but useful to have one our writeups here also. When you do it - let me know - I'll bring some beers. - Got a new toy today
