  1. I read someone on CF saying it could be done. But he never said how. Personally I don't see how you would get it around the drum cause of the clearances - give Fred a call - hes a good guy and will just tell you yes or no. Here's a video - but more helpful to others than you. http://www.goerend.com/frontdruminstallation.php
  2. my limited understanding is no - you have to pull out and remove the TC, pump etc Try calling Fred Swanson (DTT builder) at desert diesel in phoenix AZ - he seems to know a lot of tricks and tips for the 47/48re - you can find him on CF also - just not a quick turnaround that way.
  3. Wait for CAtjflyyn But in meantime - I have a DTT tranny and enjoy. I don't however think its much greater than stock. But it depends on what you mean BUILT. I have higher line pressure for clutch holding, more clutches , upgraded solenoids and apply lever etc and a 3x disk TC with upgraded VB. Anyway - TC and VB were biggest value for me. But I am only 350-400 HP. I think if your going above that you need to consider shafts and flex plate. Not sure what else you could really do - as its heat and friction that will kill the internals, torque will kill the shafts. So I know you know all this already But I'd say shop around and just get a good TC and VB ...... wait until your tranny internals start playing up - and then line up a refresh/rebuild for around $2000. This of course changes if your doing boosted launches or aiming over a true 400 HP. oh - i LOVE THIS BTW - gives me a great sense of security. http://www.jcwhitney.com/fan-cooled-oil-cooler-7-6tube/p2000854.jcwx?skuId=189427&filterid=j1
  4. what you talking about boss - you did this yourself at least 3 times on my 24 v That's what I love about MM73 !! Noone gives you a hard time - and no big deal on asking basic qustions - if you look though my posts you will see the majority of them fit that category - but I learnt EVERYTHING of this forum ..... great site and bunch of guys !!! For your question - I have done it 10+ times without resetting tps. One time I did have to pull to side of road and do it due to some surging - and that fixed the issue. So maybe safe to do anyway - but no bigdeal. I love the juice BTW - don't do what I did and experiment with 10 different programmers - I reckon juice or powerpuck for us 24v'rs.
  5. Hey joe Like ISX said - you probably have the HX35 on the 99. So no jhook eitherway - just the boost elbow or alternatively clamp off the wastegate and use your edge/quad to defuel on high boost. Only problem is if it doesn't defuel in time -> you can hit high boost and do headgasket and/or turbo damage. These turbos only good to around ~35 psi.
  6. Subscribed I hear good things about steering box brace so enquiring minds wanna know ;)
  7. Boost elbow for hx35 ... Jhook for hy35 ... Due to way actuator works .... Both control the psi at which wastegate opens .... Tighter jhook or elbow allows more psi before wategate opens .... Boost fooler generally required on over 20 psi to prevent cel but that comes with most high end programers ....

  9. Just came back from 5 weeksSome "tasters"
  10. Even if the batteries are new (less than 9 mths ??)
  11. actually called mike on weekend came back after 5 weeks in alaska - and I left the trailer hooked up 2 flat batteries So $250 - and had to put new ones in to get her home. Are these any good to try and charge my old ones - and how to know if they are holding charge well ?? http://www.amazon.com/Battery-Tender-021-0123-Junior-Charger/dp/B000CITK8S/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1316226626&sr=8-4
  12. Finally got it done - found this works ;) http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/DODGE-RAM-DAKOTA-REMOTE-KEY-KEYLESS-FOB-TRANSMITTER-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem19c2a1f18dQQitemZ110639575437QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories then use this to program your remote (took me 3 attempts - not straight forward but does work) http://www.ekeylessremotes.com/chrysler-remotes/2006/sebring/click-here-for-free-remote-programming-instructions-mop-19/ Key cut from ACE for $2.99 So I got it all done (and works) for under $25 hope it helps
  13. Agreed ;) Also on the newer trucks sometimes the "chips" are actualy programmers loaded that significantly increase the hp but there is no physical box to find ;)
  14. hey man was just going back over thisI want your turbo, your manifold, your blankets ...... so how much for this truck ??? When can I pick it upYou mentioned stock cam - are you running stock or aftermarket - if aftermarket - whats your 411 review of it ??
  15. yeah - hard to control with foot when towing or sledding I think anything over around +60hp and your probably going to start losing MPG - but don't know that for a fact ......but those RV275s are good for a little pickup and some mpg
  16. sorry - skipped 2nd do you have a stock VB ?? And did it stop after fluid/filter refresh ?
  17. Did the slipping fix itself after fluid/filter change ?? Does it have a modified valve body ?
  18. Hey JL yeah looks a little hot ..... do you have a tranny temp guage ??
  19. Had the juice and had the quad (IQUAD).QUAD definately fueled harder .... so I can believe the extra +30HP but I liked the edge better I now got rid of them both ..... and just have a +75HP inj and powerpuck - and to be honest - I don't miss either except for the turbo cooldown :thumb1:I think the 01-02 have a different MAP - but its just an adapter. Box will work with 01+02.The fuel pressure is for monitoring your fuel PSI. The defueling option is based on EGT or Boost PSI.
  20. I like the RV275 - and especially at that price hard to beat - but personally just go with a +60 to +90hp and then control the EGT with your foot until you get the turbo. Else get the 275 ..... and then sell em used later - you'll still pick up $200 so your only $84 down ........ not a huge expense to 'play'
  21. yeah go with DAP for vp44 Good deals.
  22. Here http://www.lmctruck.com/icatalog/de/full.aspx?Page=93 looks pretty good to me - no experience with it tho - nice find
  23. Other options Hx40 He351cwVarious 62mm comp builds I'd go with a 62 but I hear the super b is meant to upgradeable Jacob can sort u out if after new - recommend - and he has he351 kits
  24. Where's your EGT - pre or post turbo ?? Do you have stock injectors and what about a timing or fuel chip ?
