  1. That's my laymen description. I had an annoying loud tick that wasn't normal. When ear by air intake it was very loud and apparent. Now it's fixed you can hear the valves as less of a tick and more of a soft thud as they open/close ;)
  2. You stock Rogan ? With timing advance my overhead will show 28-30 whilst cruising at 40-45 with od off ... And around 24-26 in overdrive at 65mph .... I think those figures are around 2-3mpg high than real due to chip ...
  3. Blew and intercooler boot or clamp ? Check boost fittings ;)
  4. Keep us posted on that (pm me if u can after) as I am thinking of doing similar too see What it does to city mpg ;) !!!
  5. good luck on the pull:thumb1:
  6. Not stackable and like W+F said ...... just go with the QUAD
  7. Cool anything to be careful of ???
  8. Just a vacuum pump with a 3 way manifold set ...... So attach ..... Vacuum down ... Hold vacuum ... And then attach/inject new refrigerant .... Basically ?
  9. Going to be vacuuming down my ac system soon ... And then recharge ... Any hints ?? Have the gear but not done before ,... ;)
  10. wouldn't be big Just one of these over a camper shell http://www.taylorwings.com/viewProduct.tw?uid=33970e2c-0f01-0000-0080-c83ee55bfd68&type_uid=477ad6cb-0601-0000-0080-f9a7c96a2953&line_code=RVTRUCK
  11. thats interesting For you Toy Haulers TT ...................... I have heard that mileage is LESS than a 5th wheel - due to the aerodymanics. I can get 11-13 mpg towing my 5th wheel ............... so 9-11 mpg towing a TT or TH seems about right That wind resistance idea with the CAB camper and wing would be interesting to validate ...... I know some 5th wheel guys that installed them and said maybe 1-2mpg
  12. Yeah that's it and it's held on by 3 or 4 small bolts ... I would get a cover for it from yard as Isx said to keep dust from getting up ...
  13. unsafe how ..... Added a resistor and sitting at 144 ....
  14. Eh ? But that's the basis of the mpg fooler right ? Or you mean actual temps make little diff but the ECM param does ?
  15. Man that makes me feel sick ....
  16. Haven't read this in a little while .... but Guessing this is going to make little difference to someone running a truck in warm climate like AZ,TX or most places in summer - where IAT's are going to get 10+ pretty quick and stay there ? :shrug:Really only for you snowboyz ? :P
  17. How does it calc gph mike ?? Based on some signal to the injector ? But then what happens when u go bigger etc ?
  18. Lowes Hey Rogan ... You wiping this on and then h2o off ? Or using as a mix ?
  19. Yeah - that happened to me. Obviously check all the suggestions with the rockers/rocker rods/bolts ...... also check for leaks and missing exhaust manifold bolt #6 as they are know to fall out. But at the end of the day you could have a burnt/cracked valve. Cost me around $1500 to have the head pulled, the deck resurfaced, new valves and new gaskets and labor. Sucks - but what do you do. good luck.
  20. wow - krud crutter here we come ..........
  21. Oh - thought you meant when you plugged in your RV275's you didn't feel a big difference
  22. I'll be honest - I could tell no difference with my RV275's. Thats why I switched to +75. I did notice them. I picked up around 1-2 mpg on the RV275's. I picked up around the same with the +75's. I have lost 0.5mpg-1mpg around city - which I attribute to stomping on it more with the extra 75 ponies when I am not cruising. So ...... for mileage RV275's probably best. For balance of power and mileage = +75 CPP.
  23. Yeah good point white . $20 from DieselAutoPOwer if you have manual $4 from lowes/homedepot if you have a auto Welcome to the site - wow - 80k miles - thats an awesome pickup !!
