Truck tool boxes
I would like one that set down in the bed but I ft this old weather guard from my father in law. It is the best opening toolbox I have ever had, I need to get it sprayed with line-x too.

ECM Discussion....
I moved mine to one of the return line bracket holes when I p-pumped it. This probably will not work if you are using the stock filter housing unless you move it away from the motor too. Will snap a pic later.

signs of a bad vp44 bad mpg?
I don't think you will ever see much better with an automatic, your numbers mimic mine when it was an auto. Going to the nv4500 bumped my mpg up over 2mpg with no other changes. I wish you could see my fuelly numbers when it was an auto but I erased them when I put the 5 speed in.

P-pumped 24v, now no cruise
I pulled the spring out of the oem apps and hooked it back up just dangling. Its reading 99 percent but the cruise still doesn't work. I hate electronics.:banghead:

24 valve P7100 swap
Im running about 17.5* timing, shot for 18 but it kept back off a hair. Also have 34" tires, large injectors, .024 delivery valves, star wheel is 10 clicks from all the way forward, 100ish plate, and modded afc slid full forward.

24 valve P7100 swap
My pump and injectors are set up a bit different than isx too. I am tickled to death with the mileage so far but it does need some tuning. This tank was unloaded with mixed city/hwy and playing mixed in. I doubt I will ever see mid twenty's with these pump mods and 7x.010 injectables.

Vacuum pump - Rebuild time!
I had never done one before but my buddy did one the week before so he pointed me in the right direction. Its pretty easy, just make sure you look at the way the collar comes out and the way the seal comes out of the collar because it could go either way.

Vacuum pump - Rebuild time!
Mine was just like this http://www.ebay.com/itm/Dodge-Ram-Cummins-5-9-Vacuum-Pump-Seal-Kit-/261191918127?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3cd040622f&vxp=mtr I did not use the bigger thin oring that came with the kit because it didn't seem thick enough so I reused the old one.

Help me find the gem...
The exact truck, except mileage, was on craigslist earlier this week and it was only $4000. It had an nv4500 but needed a rebuild. It didn't last long. Why not do like I did and just find the truck of your choice and p-pump it?

Vacuum pump - Rebuild time!
I just got mine from cummins. It was less than $20 iirc and came with instructions too. Pretty easy to do

Lift pump & Wait to start light?
I have seen this exact thing on two different trucks and another ECM fixed both trucks.

Check out youtube for the 2nd gen and even 1st gen guys that have put those vgt turbos on their trucks.

0237 code
Most likely is your quad. I have seen a few edge boxes fail and throw the 0237. Remove the quad, clear the code and I bet it runs good. There is a guy on cf trying to fix these quad boxes now.

Manual Swap
The nv5600 has a little better od ratio than the 4500. I think it's about 100 rpm lower at 70 than the 5 speed. Like said, the big gap between 3 and 4 would be worse with a stock truck and a load. I have had both and really liked my 6 speed, it shifted great and never have me any problems but I bought the truck with 56k miles and no telling what my 5 speed has been through before I got it. I pulled it out of a mud truck on 5 ton rock wells so I doubt it had an easy life.

Manual Swap
Not much of a write up but here it is http://forum.mopar1973man.com/threads/6376-47re-to-NV4500-swap I had one light on in my dash but cannot remember what it was because I pulled the bulb. Copy and pasted from a member over at CF. my cruise didnt work at first but i did some reserch and found that on your PCM on connecter 1 circuit 4 is the wire that showes this being in park or drive so it will work. To find this wire you will have 3 connecters on your PCM Blk , White , and gray. Find your black connecter , then find a black with white tracer( only blk with white tracer in this connecter. CUT IT NOW GO DRIVE YOUR TRUCK AND USE YOUR CRUISE CONTROL.

P-pumped 24v, now no cruise
I have swapped the ecm, pcm and harness to the pcm with all manual stuff and everything was working great before the swap.

Road Rant....
Me and a buddy were out running the blue lights the other day and he pulled over:doh:. We were testing his new Contagious 5x.020 injectors in his pull truck and he is drawing attention to himself at the stop light touching 5k rpms. The light turns green and we turn left onto a 45mph two lane blacktop. If he had just waited till he topped the hill he could have given it hell coming down the other side but he lit into it right away. Looking behind us all I could see was smoke for 1/2 mile but he could see blue lights. I said "you know these back roads and we have a mile on him" but he pulled over. We waited for a minute or so before he got there. He only got him for 70mph in a 45, thankfully he didn't shoot him on the downside of that hill because we hit over 100. Ticket was $279 and I thought he got off pretty lucky!

P-pumped 24v, now no cruise
It is hooked up and yes it's under the battery. The truck started life as an automatic also.
