1. I'm going to run them at vp pressure now and see how it goes. I will either get the pop pressure lowered or I have a line on some of Smokem's 6x.013's.
2. I guess you can drill what ever size hole you want but that's what I use. I had led recons and replaced the led's with regular bulbs because they flickered alot. The stock orange are the brightest but I run the smoked pacer's now with standard bulbs and they are plenty for me.
3. I have had stock, recon and pacer and I like pacer better. They are priced good and good quality. Pull your headliner down and you will see the holes already in the cab, drill from the inside out with a 1&1/16 or 1&1/8 hole saw. I ordered mine from summit or jegs, whoever has the best price shipped, they are usually within a dollar or two of each other.
4. Still have to mount the fuel filter housing and figure a way to mount the ECM but its coming together. Hopefully hear it run tomorrow
5. Still got your exhaust bushings in the back of the truck too.
6. Ended up having to work today so I didn't get much time to work on it but I did get the new lines mounted, the overflow valve in and my fuel filter housing mounted good enough for now. I have to work on the lines a bit because #5 and # 6 are touching a little at the very back where they loop around each other.
7. H1 and ARP are the top two brands but Mighty Diesel are a lot cheaper. I wouldn't want to skimp when it came to studs though so H1 will be my next purchase.
8. Bring it up here one day, my buddy that helps me a lot has a tractor shop and welders, he is also a pipefitter and pretty good welder.
9. It rained again today but I did get the pump permanently bolted on and the oil feed figured out. Tabbed the kdp while I was in there and got the pump timed. Put the 4k gsk in , modded the afc and ground my plate to about a 100. I will get the lines on tomorrow and should get the front end all put back together. Hopefully be on the road by the weekend at the latest.
10. Worked on it today until it started raining. Stripped the paint off the pump and got it setting up there again. Hopefully get it mounted permanently tomorrow. John, you should come out if its nice tomorrow.
11. That would be good. Should have said I hope to be about 425 like it sets.
12. Stock at the moment but might try to find and ht3b to put with it.
13. I hope to have 500 with what I have in it now.
14. Got some parts in todayYou have to attach the lines at the head first, then the pump.
15. My fuel cap was busted so I replaced it and now when I open it to fill the tank, I get a big vacuum. My tank is not flat or bulged on the bottom but its kind of shrunk in a little, its been like that since I have had the truck though.
16. I think there are some nude beaches in Miami but they are probably sausage fests:moon:
17. We are getting into the rainy season now so it rains pretty much ever afternoon and it around 90 and very humid. I don't know all the attractions but pulling season just started and we will be full tilt in a few weeks.
18. Got what I could done Sunday, figured how the pump mount went and got the t for the oil feed installed And got my newly re sealed vacuum pump mounted And last but not least, got my new purdy set on for the mean time I'm still waiting on fuel lines, my fass and the oil feed line and fittings. I want to give a big thanks to Eric at Vulcan for helping me on his own time today, I have not spent money with him in months an he has helped me more than other folks that have my money right now.
19. What over flow valve are you running?
20. Have to pull the cam to get the gear housing that the pump mounts to off. You have to use a 12v housing because the mounting bolts are different between the vp and p7100. I would love to have got a new performance cam but it just was not in the cards now. I'm sure it will smoke more than I want but my vp did that too.
21. I'm not sure yet. I will give a price when I get it on the road.
22. Got some more progress done today. Started at 6:30 this morning and came in about 6:30 this evening, I'm beat!Got some 1/2" dowels and ground the end off to a little point and jabbed them in the tappets, also used small hose clamps/ zip ties to be safe. Dropped the cam holder into the oil pan right off the bat, but was able to recover it with my tiny pen magnet and Jesus on my shoulderI worked about 2 hrs scraping the old seal off the block and using my shop vac simultaneously so no junk fell in the pan. Got the p- pump gear housing on and put the cam back inGot my rockers and push rods put back in, in the same spot they came out. Got the 12v tappet cover on with new sealing washers, also pulled the stock lift pump and put a big block Chevy fuel block off plate over the whole that the stock lp covered.Got the cover put on so no elements get to the insides while I wait on parts
23. I went with .084 lines from DAP, they are Scheid lines as all of them are but cheaper and free shipping from DAP.I pulled most of my other parts.
24. I have an 854 pump so its a 160 or 175, we thought it was a 180. Waiting on my 4gsk and .024 dv's, gonna stick with the 7x.010 injectors for now. Pulled my vp today and its already gone
25. Got a chunk of it done this evening. Pulled the radiator, intercooler, and crossmember off.Pulled my balancer and found out why my oil pan is always oilyAfter pulling all the bolts holding the gear cover on, I put the balancer back on to set the motor to TDC.Next, I pulled the pump nut and gearMy key way would not come out but I rotated it to the top anywayPulled the intake and appsPulled the valve cover and rockers off, kept them in order so I shouldn't have to adjust the valves when I'm doneI put the gear cover and valve cover back on before I came in for the night. I will get out early tomorrow and pull the lines, pump and cam.
