The Pain of Servicing Duals
I have the same as dave, as long as I line the valves stems up with each other they are simple but I do have extenders on mine too with no problems.

Fuel Line Question
Eric at http://www.vulcanperformance.com/. I ran stock banjo fittings for a long time, I was using a stock second gen filter housing even after I p-pumped and my Fass was pushing 46 psi through it.

Yes, if you have an hx a boost elbow is what you'll need. Couldn't remember when they changed to hy

Thoughts on Edge EZ vs Superchips Flashpaq vs Other Econo Tuners
You will want to add a j-hook or turnbuckle to your hy35 with either one you get for the best performance. You should be able to find an ez for $150 or so if you look around for a bit.

Questions regarding 47re to nv4500 swap?
MnTom is correct about the wiring, there is a plug on the top or backside of a metal brace under the dash. It's been over a year since my swap but if there is anything I can help you with, your welcome to call or text me.

Cracked dash
Caps and covers never look good to me. A buddy of mine has done several dash top replacements with the geno's style replacement but from a different company and they look good but color doesn't match to my liking. Dodge sells 94-97 dash replacements for a couple hundred dollars, don't know why they don't offer 98-02.

Gauge Time ISSPro EV2's
Mike, my egt and trans temp amp boxes for my ev gauges died twice. I spoke with Michael both times and he sent my amp boxes at no charge. The second time they went, I called him and he ended up sending my two new ev2 gauges for free. I'm like you, I like mechanical but when they rely on junk electronics to operate, not much can be done. The ev2 gauges are easier to hook up and they look really good.

JOHNFAK WHERE ARE YOU ?
I'm here too, just have not been on forums much lately and I'm in the process of selling my dually. I'm not getting out of the diesel game though, I'm picking up a 4bt tomorrow that will go into a jeep project I hope to be starting soon.

Steering gearbox
I put a Red Head on my 05 and its top notch. It had a $225 core charge but I received it back promptly after they received my core. I have heard good about the new mopar box and Borgeson too.

Track Bar
Had a steering box brace on my 98 and it helped a bit. Just got a Thuren Track Bar for the CR and its a nice piece. I was getting a shimmy at 65mph and the new track bar took care of that. The reason I went with Thuren over Carli is, Thuren's bar is threaded to except the hiem joint where Carli's bar has a threaded joint welded to the end and I have heard of a few guys breaking them off. I ordered direct from Don and it was $340 shipped.

Another twist to the ammo shortages..
I have been checking the shelves at walmart and every other place I have been in since june and they are always empty. I went to walmart last sunday and just for fun, checked the shelf, there were 6 boxes of 550 count setting right there. The guy behind the counter said they just arrived an hr before and the limit was 3 boxes, I skipped all the way out to the truck with my limit. They went up about $5 since last year before the "Shortage".

Safe temp ranges
I had my backdown set at 1200-1250 on egt and trans temp shouldn't see much over 190-200. Get yourself a turnbuckle since you cant use the boost elbow on your hy35 turbo.

might 'dip toes' into toyota's water.....
Not an interference engine, the 4 bangers have chains and the 6's have belts. I have had 4 Tacoma's and would give nearly anything to have my 96 4cyl 4x4 back I bought it at 101 k and other than changing the oil, putting a seal and bearing in the power steering pump and rebuilding the front end it was a solid truck at 225 when I sold it.

I have heard the old Tacomas would rust around the rear spring mounts and my buddy from up north said toyotas frames rust before their time. Tacomas are like these dodge diesels, they hold their value great because they are great Trucks. I had 4 Tacomas and 2 corollas and they have all been excellent vehicles, I used all of them on the mail route and never any trans or engine problems. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Do it very carefully or it will explode in your hands if its brittle.

XM Radio in the truck
I used mine in my 2003 with factory radio, I just used a radio station with poor frequency and it worked fine. My new radio has the input and it has a crisper sound but you will be happy with using the radio frequency too.

XM Radio in the truck
I have had Sirius since about 2005 and love it. I recently picked up a Sirius starmate replay 4 or 5 from ebay. I had a replay 2 for years but Sirius decided it was outdated and made it not work anymore. They both work great off of a dead radio station or you can plug them into the radio jack if your radio is equipped. http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_odkw=sirius+starmate+replay&_osacat=0&_from=R40&_trksid=p2045573.m570.l1313.TR5.TRC1.A0.Xsirius+replay&_nkw=sirius+replay&_sacat=0

Vave Lash Adjustment Question
I used to find tdc but then I just started bumping the motor over until both intake and exhaust were loose on #1 for top and then again on #6 for bottom.
