transmission choice
The 47re is a good transmission too and you can build it with rh internals to get rid of the electronics other than lockup.

New arrival to the collection!
Looks good Bill! We were going to get my wife a TDI Jetta back in 2011 but they couldn't meet us on price. It was a 6 speed and I killed that thing probably 5 times trying to get out of the dealer lot, I was used to the roar of a straight pipe cummins with torque and I couldn't hear the darn thing running.

Wheels and tires
On my 98 I ran 3rd gen chrome clad steelies off a 2003, aluminums off a 2006 and finally aluminums from a 2012 and they all looked great. They were all 17" and I got smokin deals on each.

Anything I can do with this turbo?
- Hello from western Montana
Welcome to the site- Mike will you please be more specific as to exactly what you want.
Hey, We're still here!- Gauge install
How can I go back in and edit pics?- Gauge install
I don't see any errors, I'm still logged on but when I try to go back through the automated email to my article, it won't allow me to log back in. Keeps asking for my login and password like they aren't correct.- Gauge install
now I can't log back in to the articles- Gauge install
Ok Mike, got it saved but don't know where it's saved and couldn't add my pics. Evidently I'm iPad illiterate too.- Gauge install
Michael, I'm trying to add my gauges to the articles but I keep getting this message- what are the proper step by step to increase Hp
I ran a smarty on my 98 for a while and it ran great with 34" tires and 3.54 gears. You really can't go wrong with a smarty or and edge comp, or both. Isspro ev2 gauges are top notch and simple to hook up. You already have the transmission so the big purchase is out of the way. My Dually has 4.10 and I have tossed the idea of going 3.54 or even 3.73 for a better hwy rpm.- EGT Gauge Help
98whitelightnin replied to Buzzinhalfdozen's topic in 2nd Generation Dodge Reliability / PerformanceSome of the egt gauges come with 1/4 fittings instead of 1/8, I have one that I pulled off another truck but didn't want to redrill my manifold. I have always drilled and tapped with the engine off except on this truck.Did it with engine idling and I have to say, I will be doing it this way from now on because it worked great!- EGT Gauge Help
98whitelightnin replied to Buzzinhalfdozen's topic in 2nd Generation Dodge Reliability / PerformanceI will have an isspro ev egt and trans temp gauge for sale soon. Both have new amp boxes and the trans temp sensor it new also but might need a new thermocouple for the pyro. I also have a 3 gauge pillar pod for 24v.- EGT Gauge Help
98whitelightnin replied to Buzzinhalfdozen's topic in 2nd Generation Dodge Reliability / PerformanceI suggest isspro ev2 as well.- Dyno!
Whoops, saw the turbo but missed the injectors. I will say 425 or so.- Dyno!
325 with everything turned up. Not much difference without the smarty and 275 with only smarty. I was ever happy after I got off a dyno and every dyno was different.- Servicing rear diff fluid, what to use!
I use house brand 75w90 or 80w90. No additive needed if you don't have limited slip. Use some good permatex and be done- Front and Rear bumper build
Those look great! I want a pair for my Dually too- Exhaust Kits
My FloPro is the cheap aluminized 5" and it has the same clamps. Rancherman, tires are 255/85r16 toyo mt - Hello from western Montana
