I guess the red tabs were purely cosmetic because they did nothing, it was just a simple plug. Got the new one in and when I put the knee panel back on and plugged the trailer brake controller back in I noticed it lit up for a split second and now won't work at all. Always something!

the brake light switch is going out in my 95 and I can't figure out how to unplug the switch. I have never come across this style of switch before and I don't want to "brake" it ;)

Best to find a wreck off of craigslist. I did just that when I did my swap and actually came out ahead after the swap.

I didn't know Don made a set of 4" coils for our truck. I had his 2" coils and they, along with his white body shocks were a nice improvement over stock. I had a BD adjustable 3rd gen style trackbar on my 98 and it was great. I put a Thuren adjustable track bar on my 05 and it was great too, it had a heim joint at one end as where the BD had rubber bushings at both ends. The BD was adjustable on the truck where the Thuren had to be unbolted at one end for adjustment.

Is this a new to you truck? A good tight converter will chug the truck down or stall it out if it's idled just a little low.

I don't think is has lead in it? Isn't it the same gas we had pre 2007? Idk why it's twice the price but it is mid grade 90 octane. I use it in the lawnmower, 4wheelers, pressure washer and dirt bike.

I have done it both ways, tighten injectors first and tubes first with the same results. The only time I had a leak was when I nicked a tube by leaving the lines hooked up and just pulling back on the line.

Diesel is 3.19 or so and regular unleaded is about 2.37, non ethanol is still 4.25.

Did you pull the connector tubes out or just back them out of the head slightly? I nicked the tip of a crossover tube once and truck had a slight miss. Dap has the best price I have found on new crossover tubes.

Don't worry about the part numbers, just get some for a 1995 Chevy dually. The 1 ton single wheel has a different part number than the Dually and you want Dually. I did them on my 98 and think they came from advance auto or possible Napa but either way they bolt right up. I did a set on a buddies 2001 and he usually shops at autozone.

Idk, my truck had 260k and the little puff bothered the heck out of me. I pulled the new injectors out and sent them back to contagious to have them checked, they sent me a whole new set and it still had the puff.

My 98 would puff white on cold starts too until I switched to a p-pump, could be something other than valve seals.

Might be a good time to find a 12v Tappet cover and get away from the front mounted blowby tube.

Dang, you got a good price if it's a good runner. Gave $2k for mine and I need to pull the head because #4 smokes a little. Mine has the ve pump,and it's rated at 105hp

I sold the 98 and have regretted it daily but I needed more cab room. I bought a 2005 dually and it looked like this when it left me I didn't like the poor mileage and the payment. I sold it and then next day bought this 95 but had to buy the horse trailer that went with it. Sold the horse trailer and only had $2500 in the 95 Whoops, kinda went off subject, all apologies

I got it a couple months ago. Sold the 2005 dually and all but stole this 95. I have tried to change my sig but it won't let me.
