Tires
there's prolly 85+% left on them. There's only 4-5000mi at most on them.I'll get you a pic this afternoon. They're on 16x10 aluminum wheels, that will be included in the package.

Tires
I'm contemplating selling my 295-75 16 Hankook RT03s, and going with a slightly shorter/narrower tire.If i had 4.10s, it'd be a different story, but I don't, so I won't.

Muffler questions
my ol' blue 12v had a 7" stack (single) and was insanely loud, but DAMNED if it didn't sound so good to me. Neighbors didn't particularly care for it at 430am when I left for work.

Steering column gauge mount?
I might bite the bullet and order one. Worst case scenario, I could resell it for 80-90% and then we'd know for sure.

Tires
you have a lift? If not, you'll need it, as they're slightly taller than a 315-75/16, or a 35" tire.. Is the 315 too wide for what you want? Other things to consider about that odd size is: [*]Cost of replacement [*]Ease of locating replacements [*]sidewall deflection with a tall, narrow tire Just food for thought. Interco does have a 34x9-16 Narrow S.S... They're a 6 ply, so roughly a Load C.. Which is really too light for the cummins 25/3500.. They also have a 34x10.50 16 LTB that's 8ply 3200lb tire, which gets a lot of praise.

Muffler questions
Even though this thread is 6+ months old :)I run the 5" Diamond Eye Turbo Back exhaust. It's got a little tone to it, but overall, it's fairly quiet.

Steering column gauge mount?
So I checked them out today.. there are subtle differences between the two. The main difference is that the overhead console in the 03 is more bulbous than the 01. The windshield arc looks very close to being the same. The rear view mirror on the 03 is about 6-7" from the top of the windshield, whereas the 01 is about 3-4".Here's the pic showing the two.. Top ones are of the '03, lower ones are of the '01.

Steering column gauge mount?
I'll look at my coworker's 2003 tomorrow, and compare to my cab's lines and such.. If it would work sufficiently in the 2g truck, then it's exactly what I'd want.. A definitely prefer something more in the line-of-site region, but I'm open.

Day Dreaming... Maybe Changing my DD??
I totally agree with the Toyotas. 4Runners and/or Land Cruisers. Additionally, Russ, look into the Land Rover Discovery Series IIs.. You can pick them up fairly cheap, and theyre quite reliable. They do require some tinkering here and there, but overall, they're pretty good. The V8s, ensure the head gaskets have been done, as that's a common issue with them. A close friend of mine has 3, and loves them, once the expensive HG replacement has been done. He picked up his last one, a 2001 model, for 1200$, and it's clean as a pin. It needed an O2 sensor, tires, and one window switch. The back seats/doors are a PITA to get in an out of, for anyone bigger than 50 lbs and 4' tall, but the front seats are easily accessible, and the doors open wide; two pluses in my book.

Wipers
I "splurged" and bought the Bosch ones.. They worked pretty good for about 2-4 months.. Now, they're streaky.. WTF is up with wiper blades nowadays?? :banghead: Most aren't worth the plastic packaging they came in.

Troubleshooting dead end on dead pedal. Apologize for a long thread in advance
- Day Dreaming... Maybe Changing my DD??
- Problem with low-beam headlights. Need suggestions.
billy, what year is your truck? I know the 'old skool' style light switches (like my '96) were notorious for failing/melting/burning/firefirefire due to their inadequacy to handle the current draws, especially later in life. I replaced the one in my '96 and the harness plug was all melted looking. Ironically, the new switch came with a new harness connector as well. Coincidence? nah.. ;)- Day Dreaming... Maybe Changing my DD??
the easiest thing I've ever owned to get in and out of, russ, is my wife's Nissan Quest mini-van (2004+). The doors open nearly 90*, and the seat (at my 5'9" height") are near butt-level. It's literally a step-in/step-out. Plenty of room, otherwise, and does great in the snow, as any FWD vehicle. Ours has the 3.5L (2007 model) and gets mid-high 20s on the highway. We averaged 25.7mpg round trip to Texas; about 1400mi each way, at 75-80mph..It's quiet as a church mouse, and plenty of power, with a 0-60mph in the 8.6sec. range. Never ever ever thought I'd say I liked a minivan, until this one.- MPG fooler - Design phase
that's a good increase! - Day Dreaming... Maybe Changing my DD??
