  1. In NJ I believe it was to be sure the man in the kiosk did not loose his job. When I first started driving self service was unheard off. Cant tell you how many people put gas in my tank until I was in my 20's. Most of them smoking a cigarette.
  2. Electric is coming and thats just fact of life. But fossil fuel is not in any danger of dissappering any time soon. Even the the far left Democrats cant make that happen like they want to.
  3. You might want to polish the input shaft a bit for insurance. Dont think I would replace it either. Glad you got the problem worked out.
  4. No expert on 3rd gens or auto tranny at all but if the rpms are shooting up and not your speed something is slipping in the drive train.
  5. A little bit slow on this but here you go. There was one at every onee of the small circles with the cross hairs on them. The stuck thru the door panel then heat welded over the door panel. The only piesceof one left is in the 3rd pic. Look close and you can see it sticking up a 1/2" or more. Guess I should have changed the window switch fluid more often.
  6. Two reasons I open mine all the way #1 the pressure is dangerous as you say, #2 I dont want the mess with the diesel spraying. My engine bay is dirty enough. I open mine all the way when repriming. Once I ses a good flow I close it up.
  7. The signature has grown from the original post for sure.
  8. Need some more info on your turbo. See if there is a name plate or part# or sometjing to help indentify it. It may be ill suited to 150's. Do you know how long the 150's have been in the truck?
  9. This is it. Thick plastic with reinforced bottom.
  10. Its not legal here either. Sparklers and the like are but nothing that goes bang. Plenty of folks were setting them off last night. We set some off, took a break and watched some on tv. I grabbed the last of what I had, strode out the door just to see the Sheriff's dept squad car parked in front of my drive way. A quick about face was in order and done. Went back out a couple minutes later and he started a slow drive up the street. My street was quiet but all I could hear off in the distance was fireworks going off. It was a bit ironic. Not sure what kind of ticket you get here. Ours were all legal stuff from SC. There dangerous enough for me around the house and neighbor hood. I had 6 shot mortar. It fired a 2" by 4" canister about a 150' up and blew out a burst of differing flaming balls and such in about a 45 foot circle with quite pleasingly loud boom. By far the best of the show.
  11. Same here, until hanging out here. The principle is quite simple, but it took some practice.
  12. I dont think the ECM is capable adjusting for elevation, unless the map sensor can some how communicate the difference in atmospheric pressure at altitude. I would not know for sure.
  13. Same here. I even have the same condensor. Mine will creep up a little with stop and go driving maybe 5 degrees or so. Of course I usually have the window open to some degree. If I idle for a good bit parked it will up to near 50, but in 95* heat I dont think thats bad. No baffles here either.
  14. I read this when you posted just reread and now I get it. Re tired. Thought i posted this yesterday. So lets add a little. Did stop in SC on the way home and got some fireworks. I am still like a kid in a candy store there. Dropping 400 bucks is just to easy. But after spending 20 minutes walking around i said to myself, Self you're spending $100. Got a cart, put my choices in it, and it rang up at $100.03 plus tax. Pretty happy with myself. Then I find out since I spent 100 bucks I get a free $15 worth more. So I went back bought you a fire cracker. We will light it and throw it your way tonight. Happy 4th to all.
  15. When everything is warm the WTS only comes on very briefly, less than second. If your not looking at it its easy to miss. Is it possible you just missed it come on?
  16. @Dynamic would be a good person ask too.
  17. I dont have it either but have been in some places it would have been nice. The non paved rv parks are but occasionally I get in some weird places.
  18. CAD disappeared in 02. I have an early 02 with it. Dodge used them until they ran out. I dont know the mechanics of it but the mod seems to work fine. If I had maneuver around switch backs as @wil440 decribes my truck would not like it in 4wd, unless the road was not paved.
  19. The 2500 uses the same gear the 3500 does.
  20. Thats what I was remembering about the HD. I believe that @AH64ID and his father both have one in their trucks and like them. Could be my next clutch also.
  21. I saw the gauges on the phone but the cluster appeared dead.
  22. Did I miss that you intrument cluster does not work? Also is that a G56 in the there? The shift pattern is not an nv5600. Maybe thats why the shifter looks odd. Heres mine from almost the same angle
