  1. Got to agree on the quad being high. I am sitting idleing right now at about 240* on my Isspro. Saw near the same results on my Banks gauge when it used to work. I have no Quad to compare it too.
  2. I read your posts about the leds you were putting in and while on Amazon looking at their quick deals came across a pair that were cylindrical with a projectormike center. 20 bucks on sale for15 for the pair and free 2 day shipping so I ordered them on friday and they showed up on Sunday which surprised me. Well worth the money if they last. Now to find 2 headlights that good for a 100 bucks that dont blind everyone that looks at them. About tired of seeing those type on the highway. Some of them are on fairy new vehicles.
  3. I concur. Super elevations are easier to understand for me also.
  4. I also added two LED lights in the back up sockets. I can now see about 35 feet versus the 5 with the incandescents. Not the same as the lights some of y'all have installed but for 15 bucks it was well worth it.
  5. Yes it is. The idea is actually came from TGIF. I built 4 of them many years back. A lot of the wood came from them too. You step on Burger King tile coming in the front door onto Longhorn Steak House tile in the foyer and look at CFA tile on the kitchen walls. I have several areas like that in the house.
  6. Had bearing in the blower motor thats been chirping to me on and off for a while. So this weekend I finally swapped it and the resistor out. Sure made a nice difference in the air flow. The old was one I replaced the OE with about 9or 10 years. The shaft was fairly tight and I am sure it took some extea power to turn. Anyway the extra air flow is nice to have back.
  7. My wife is a sweet lady. Her nickname is "Bouncing Betty".
  8. Hey guys, my wife is 4' 9" and she can still slap the crap out of me, bad knees and all. Guess that means y'all are pussiesand shes not!!! See how happy she is after I stepef on one of the land mines I seem to find fairly easy. Nothing but the finest shredded under wear for me
  9. Well said. Politicians have talked about for a long but this the first big challenge to them. Should have happened many years ago.
  10. If runs right with the Quad disconnected I would be talking to Quadzilla. I am sure they be happy to test it for you. If it is still under warranty they should fix. I would give them a call.
  11. Good you have someone to trust. Sounds like you might have time to heal too.
  12. That day will come. Just not sure when. It was a pleasure meeting Dan. The Mike and Mike show will be fun too plus anybody else tha might show. And who knows since I missed the eclipse maybe the moon will come out and do a 360 for us.
  13. That does suck. Is the installer helping with any of this? Who do you have building the tranny?
  14. They used to send me a code every 3 months or so in a news letter, but not any more. Have to find on the internet as mentioned above.
  15. I lost one around 40 mph. Cant imagine that happening at freeway speeds.
  16. I do like this thing. The diesel bros would be proud of that, but they would have squeezed a 12v in it. It is nicely done. I had custom deluxe a good while. The body is the only thing mine had in common with yours.
  17. I cant imagine owning that truck when gas was 4+ bucks a gallon. Towing i got 4 to 5 mpg. Had to fill it up evety 150 miles or so when relocating the 5th wheel. It did have good power but it could not pass a gas station.
  18. I only 12 or 13 out of 96 with the V10. 3:55 gears with 245s on it.
  19. The e brakes work much at rpm especially with a load on. I can mine at 23k with the 5th wheel on down a 6% grade in 4th and barely use the service brakes. I am turning about 2400 rpm during this descent. How many miles do drive in those 8 to 10 years? @Evan
  20. If you took the EZ off thats why you got the 234 code. The EZ did boost fooling so you can build more pressure. With out it the ECM will defuel the engine once you pass 20 or so psi of boost. I would replace the actuator too. But do the MAP and see how that does and then tackle you other issues.
  21. When I installed mine the the upper bolt was too long and had to cut off so the door panel would fit. Shortness was not a factor 6 or 7 years ago.
  22. A small leak will make a small difference. The bigger the leak the bigger the difference. While your air compresor can compress are 150 psi or whatever yours is capable of, it most likely cannot produce the volume of air that the turbo can. My little compressor will get to150 psi but only produces maybe 3 cfm at 90 psi, could be less. The turbo is capable of many times the cfm of my compressor. A quick, and I mean quick google check said the HX35 is capable of 600 cfm. Others would know better than I. I hope can see what I am saying. The boost elbow that came with my Comp has an adjustment screw in it. It lets pressure of of the actuator so you can build more boost than stock. If yours is missing the screw it is just letting the waste stay closed longer. Do you have a boost gauge? Are you still running the EZ? Dont get me wrong if you have boost leaks, fix them. Your truck will be happier. But for now a MAP sensor is what you need. Fix that then take care of the other stuff. Just my worth.
  23. You could leave unplugged for a mont and it is still going boot up like it always does at key on. Sounds like you have a problem somewhere else. But I dont know auto trannys at all.
  24. You might be surprised at how much boost you can build even with boost leaks. Take one of the couplings off one day and feel how air the turbo will move at idle. I was surprised. The flow from that will oustrip what I can put in it with my small pancake compressor. The turbo produces a whole lot more volume. Your scanner might read it, but I dont know what have. It does not have to display volts either. It can display psi. You need to see it move when you stick your foot in it. Mine did not move even though I could build about 4 or 5 psi. As mentioned earlier if the ECM does not see any boost it is not going to fuel the engine as it should, hence the weak running truck.
