  1. I just bought a carrier bearing from RA for drive shaft, SKF. On the box made in china. There descriotion states thay make oe stuff for many manufacturers. The Spicer listed below it say they manufacture theirs all over the world. I dont know how you can avoid ending up with things made in china short of going somewhere and seeing the product before you buy it. I also put front hubs on mine about 50k ago and have no idea who or where they were made.
  2. Must be a Cali thing. I have never set a code disconnecting my batteries nor been able to clear one by doing that. How about your fuel pressure at WOT?
  3. My build date was mid 2001 IIRC. I bought it in October of 2001.
  4. The fuel pressure was just a hunch. What is your fuel pressure at WOT? As far as disconnecting the batteries, that should have no affect on anything. Taking them loose does nothing to the computer, nothing. I have never heard of monitor mode. I have disconnected mine many many times and have not noticed anything any different from prior to taking them loose. Is it setting some kind code after you disconnect them. I have heard over the years of folks doing this to reset the computer but to my knowledge it does nothing. So what are you or the smog people seeing that is the problem?
  5. Mine exits out the side with a tin back on it.
  6. Is it cutting out while the engine is under load? Medium to heavy throttle?
  7. Thats good turn around time on the head also.

Welcome. I feel so much younger now at 65. Not so my truck compared yours, 453k on mine. I am pround of miles but 65k would be nice again. I hit that in 04. I like to think i got it to 225 and this place helped me the rest of the way. There is a ground you can do that would help after you check the above article.
  9. Yeah it is a bit cluttered down there. My filter canister only has 2 bolts and can easily be moved if it is in the way. I have never unplugged mine, never had reason to.
  10. The 02 wiring diagram shows 3 but my spare harness has 1 wire in a 2 prong connector with one of them plugged up. Have not checked the one on the truck.
  11. I am living and learning. I never looked at the FRRP's, I wanted something better. The ECM can fry due to the 12v power for the pump coming thru the ECM. The full AD and FASS systems come with a wiring harness that uses the oe pigtail for a relay trigger and the 12v would come from battery or elswhere taking the load off of the ECM. It is a very good long term set up. My thoughts go two ways since you are wanting to sell the truck. One is get the fuel system in good working order how ever far you want to take it. Then represent it as such to prospective buyers, a litle better than than the oe system. I dont mean just cobble something together thats going fall apart a month. A buyer in the know already knows what you have and one that doesnt let him know if he wants to soup it up or drive for a long time he should put a better fuel system on it. Two, go all out on the fuel system and represent it that way and ask a little more for it. I could sleep well either way.
  12. Yes and no. That is my spare wiring harnes and there is no splice of the 5v supply shared by the oil pressure sender and the MAP sensor. The oil pressure sender on the 02 is just a switch and only has one wire to it. I assume that is just for the ECM to see oil pressure and then something takes over the pressure gauge over and it reads based on ect and rpm. That is something Dodge did late in the in the 2nd gen run. Your 01.5 may or may not have it either. The easiest way to tell would be to pull the connector on the oil pressure sender/switch and see if you have 3 wires going to it. An orange 5v supply, blk/ltblu ground, gray/blk to pin 6 on the ecm. The gray/ltblu is the only wire used on mine. The orange 5v supply is unbroken from the ECM to the MAP sensor.
  13. Where is your pump mounted? On the block, stock location?
  14. Thats what I was thinking but I always thought the raptor 150's were remote mount. I did not think DDRP came in a 150gph pump???
  15. I have never mssed with the raptor pumps before and did not know the 150's would mount where the oe pump went. I would recomend talking to Eric at Vulcan Performance. He sells AD pumps and should have any fuel fittings that you would need. I am thinking he could get the AD kit or set you up something that is just as good. Eric is a top notch vendor here.
  16. Another thing to check is your oil pressure sensor connector. See if it has the orange wire going to it. The 02 wiring diagram shows the 5v shared. My spare harness only has one wire going to it and it is not orange, gray with violet tracer IIRC. The orange wire going to the Map sensor has no splice and runs directly to the MAP. This has to do with the late model oil sensors only being a switch and not a sensor. Not sure how far back this goes nor whether that sensor can effect the MAP since they are not interconnected in any way. That being said I am not the electrician by any means. Maybe someone else better versed might be able to expand on it.
  17. You must not have a Denso alternator, but a Bosch. But i dont know that for sure.
  18. Here it is from the articles section. This would be more vehicle specific for your truck.
  19. I dont think that link has anything to do with our 2nd gens. If a Fass was installed it should have used the factory connection to trigger the fuel system. 9 years with an AD in mine and never a code like most others here. If you look here in the articles section under 24V 2nd gen, engine, OBD II error codes there is a full list. Are sure about of the code #?
  20. Should of put your money in the First National Chicken Bank. Better interest rate.
  21. 1693 has nothing to do with ECM. It is just telling there is a code in the other computer. PCM/ECM. I cant find a 627 listed.
