  1. How is your starter? If it is weak it wont spin the motor as fast. A leaky return line or any small leak letting air in can cause it also. It will drain fuel back to the tank.

    Welcome back.
  3. Welcome.
  4. What gear are in to tach that high at 55?
  5. I dont a thing about the tools you linked. I bought a vacuum pump and gauges from Harbor frieght. The pump works fine but gauges are a little iffy at best. My son in law got my daughters Honda to hold vacuum with them. Then I used them on the Dodge and was having trouble holding vacuum. I did have a leaky compressor but during the work I also had a hard time getting the gauges to hold vacuum on there own. I do have a question myself for all. Are the schrader valves in the test ports anything special? Just did the wife's Saturn over the weekend and one of hers has a small leak.
  6. The only thing I can add is if it is leaking in the hvac box, that is the only one you cant see.
  7. Nothing wrong with that way. I have just not had that problem. My snug is most likely 25+ ft pounds. It does not take a lot to reach that number.
  8. Same here. Just snug it down.
  9. I did not go but about 5 or 6 years ago i built the CFA there in front of the drag strip. Got finished and left about a month before that years diesel shindig. I did get to know thw owner of the drag strip and he let me in any time I wanted and i got to learn a little about drag racing.
  10. I am remembering now. @hrenfroe is that possibly what you are seeing? Agreed.
  11. Get 6 speed, cant even hear my pump. Kinda like its not there.
  12. I thought I had some bad ones but they worked for you. On top of that my temp is spot on for 6 months since I messed with the map sensor harness the first time. Maybe longer, I woul have to look that thread up for the time frame.
  13. Mine is too. Started noticing that in my late 50's. But I was working on a plastic car.
  14. My hands are fair but i did draw a little blood on one of my arms. Not to bad considering where i had them. No busted knucles though. Also, no leftover or missing bolts. I am pretty god at loosing one now and again.
  15. I ran one from Cummins and one from Dodge and never noticed any difference in them other than at the cash register.
  16. Your tranny will be the weak link. The quad would be the better tuner but if you start turning it up I hope you have a fund going for the tranny and she breaks near the house.
  17. If it is pumping thru a bad block mounted pump, that could hurt the pressure. But the intank pump itself is nothing to write home about. I had the in tank pump but Dodge removed the block mounted pump. I do believe the fuel lines ram thru the area of the block mounted pump but it was removed. Are sure the pump is still ther? The bracket has to remain but my pump was gone. The bracker covers the hole where the old 12v mechanical pumps went.
  18. Printed on the undrside. Of each piece is a weight limit of 1500 pounds per block for 6000 pound max rating. So no Cummins. They were a godsend on that little car. But lets not forget a cocrete floor and AC. OH YEAH!!!!!
  19. The radiator is very easy to pull and worth the look.
  20. Good to hear. Just did the wife's saturn with all new parts and it was succesful also. I just wish I had the room in that as I do in the Dodge.
  21. Dodge even quit putting them on years ago. My oe lift pump went at 150k and they gave me an in tank pump for $900 plus the tow bill. It was failing in just over a year.
  22. An addage I have used many times for myself here, ignorance is bliss. Especially if it works....
