  1. I cant think yours would have been much less than mine unless you had the higher trim level. Mine was a SLT which was not the highest by any means. It does boggle my sometimes when I see a low mileage truck such as yours for sale. According to all the myths I hear, yours is not evem broken in yet. I hope you enjoy yours as I have and will still enjoy mine. It still tickles me to catch someone on the interstate in my faded truck and old wrinkled man in the cab passing your BMW in the right lane and they cant stop me.
  2. In 98 with my present employer the wife and I hit the road to Indiana to do a Don Pablos. 4 months later we finish and I cant get everything the wife accumulated in her car and my truck. On the way home i figured F this, I am getting a fifth wheel. 1st I need a truck. In the limited time I had I bought 96 Dodge 2500 with a V10 in it. The new Cummins then were out my budget. It was good truck, drove very quick empty and pulled the 5th well. Mileage sucked. 4 to 4.5 mpg towing and 12 mpg empty going downhill with a tail wind. Glad my company buys my fuel. Anyway we were headed to NJ from Florida about 2.5 yers later and I pull off the interstate for fuel, a very common occurence at 4.5 mpg. Kicked it out of gear and costed to the stop sign. When I let out the clutch to go thru the signit ws sputtering and popping. Pulled in the gas station and get out. Walk back to the tail pipe and oil has already made puddle on ground. A valve dropped thru #10 piston. Sum beach. Towed it to the closest Dodge dealer in Charleston SC, went in, asked where to drop my trade in at and I need a truck right now. Not the best to buy a truck but I got what I wanted and the wife did not say a word. That was 2001 and I remeber the stiker shock I got t $35k. Seems so cheap now.
  3. Good luck with the job. Did mine 6 or 7 years ago. Was not difficult as I thought it would be. I eas lucky to have the spare time and did not have to getin a hurry.
  4. A leaking core wil drain into the box and out thru the box drain on the passanger front thru the fire wall. There shoud a 90 on that stub out. If it has been knocked off, when you drive air will force in liquid back into the box and then onto the passanger floor. I knocked mine off when rebuilding the hvac box. My floor flooded pretty good from the condensation when running the ac. Though while parked it drain out the front.
  5. Mine has always only bumped the pump for less than a second. Never heard they should run for multiple seconds at key on. 20 or so seconds with a starter bump.
  6. @Mopar1973Man and I have reacked up alot miles between us. And I am proud to have made it this far and still feel this truck has long way go. As long as I can keep the Dodge part together. I hope to return to to how it looked when mine had a 150k on it or or better after I retire. There are times it would be nice to look down at the odo and see 150 on it. I have a spare intrument cluster that l might have throw in one day, it only 133k on it. After the body and paint work though. Be fun for a day.
  7. I dont any of these places ya'll are talking about but when l saw 853 miles with 6 gallons to spare, come on. Forgot about the tank you put in not long ago. That had me going for a second or to. When Dodge graced me with my intank pump I thought I had a miracke pump. Got 425 out of the first half with big smile face until I had to fill up 250 miles alter. The new fuel level sensor worked opposite the old one.
  8. Thats all mine has too. Thought it had an the arrow on it.
  9. Itmdoes max ac but i believe that it has a little recirc arrow on it too.
  10. Good to see the progress is still happening.
  11. The other ends of the cables are just as important, not just the battery terminals. Your PCM and ECM are not case grounded. They have their own ground wires. The WT's ground mod covers it in depth and an easy mod the do. One the best mods I have done to my truck.
  12. Wise minds think alike, John. Dave Yes. Max ac is the only recirc mode. Ha Ha, did it again. Chicken
  13. Turn it to max ac. Then turn the temp knob to hot.
  14. Mine 4" is turbo back no cat to deal with.
  15. That means mine might last forever. My nerf bars seem to last a long time anyway.
  16. What do you think about a non towing rig? Thats pretty much what mine does these. Just a pavement princess.
  17. D Well dammit is all I can say. It amazes still of all the in and outs of things and what folks know about around here. Sometimes its above my little pea brain. My education continues.
  18. I can set mine to recirc and turn the temp knob to hot and it blows hot air. What the AC is doing during this I dont know. Never use that way just tried it see a good while back. Have it set there now while sitting in the parking lot here at CFA.
  19. Mine was from a Stinger plus system back 05. Gauges, 4" exhaust w/flow thru muffler, exhaust housing plus waste gate set at 33 psi, Ottomind tuner at +75 hp. The tuner crapped out around 2012 and I lost function of the gauges since they went thru the tuner. I enjoyed it while it worked but knowing what I know today l could done it more affordably back then.
  20. My hx has 520k on it. Still no shaft play at all last time checked. It also has the Banks quick turbo exhaust housing which I have never been able to see any specs on it. Banks pretty much ignored my questions years after buying it. I bought a whole kit from Banks which included it when I hit 100k. Nothing like marketing hype to a man who knew way to little when he bought it. Trying weigh out rebuilding what I have or buying new. My thinking is if its even a bit better than what I have the price would be worth the cost difference of rebuilding mine. Never rebuilt one before but from what read it should not be that difficult to do. A $1200+ turbo is not in my near future. @Me78569has recommended some good ones but the price is my sticking point for now.
  21. So for the man working on a budget this would be a pretty good to work with l take it? I would like to put a Quad on it one day but not looking for 500hp by any means. The price is hard to pass on unless there is minimal gain.
  22. I think all he had to do was bend the bracket on the waste gate a bit to clear something. What I dont remember. He discussed in a thread here. That price does make it more interesting. I know my down pipe does not use the v band clamp but the back of my hx 35 should swap to it. @Blueox01 had swap his too I believe.
  23. Darn sure they were not any where near #6.
