  1. I would have to go and find my instructions but they said to tighten in 3 sequences. The first 2 were given ft pound numbers. But 3rd was turn the bolts 90* more. So l dont really know what my final torque was. I do know that was a lot work doing that 28 times even on the 24" breaker bar. About 60k on mine and all is still well.
  2. I have always had a vision of me sitting in my truck with it rusted into pile with the Cummins still running. Now l could do it with rockers still shining too.
  3. I reused the head bolts on my HG replacement. Cummins says you can as long as they have stretched to much. Mine fell well within that spec. I never retorqued mine until l had to replace the gasket. As far as when studs are needed l leave that to more knowledgeable. 28 head bolts IIRC.
  4. I was wondering what happened with everyting.
  5. I would suspect motor if you still have the other functions like high and low plus the intermittent. Mine would only function on low speed. And they were just on and off. Plus when I would flip the high beams on they would move a couple inches. I also looked in the FSM and I was not getting 12v on the connector in the right places. The park funtion is part of the motor. So if thats the only issue l would suspect the motor.
  6. with what he said. Mine will do it too.
  7. I had to go to work today and after answering questions, reading the news, eating my breakfast and it warmed up nicely I went after the wipers. Before ordering parts I did a little testing and got to thinking it just might be the multifunction switch. I was convinced enough that I ordered both. Sho nuff it was the switch. But I swapped both so maybe I want have to go in there for that again. So I now have working wipers and a new washer pump, the old one was a bit tired. I can now wash the roof of my truck again while sitting still. But in my wisdom I forgot the screen for under the cowl. So I am still screen less. Thanks to all and special thanks to @IBMobilefor the graphics. Whew!!!
  8. Does the 9007 bulb clock at 6 and 12? My 9004 clocks at 3 and 9.
  9. Ya'll better put sun glasses or blinders on. This could get strange quick like.
  10. I think l should be offended by this. I will get my therapist and let you know how that turns out.
  11. Dont tell me ya have Coors license plate. Sorry, should have said Sapporo.
  12. When I first saw the title of this thread I figured my buddy @Dieselfuturehad miss spelled it, knowing his cab corner and all. Figured otmshould have said Rocker panel CAN corners.
  13. My parts got here Wednesday, not bad for ordering on Sunday night and economy shipping. Pretty happy that. But got up for work Wednesday morning at 5:30 and while standing in front of the bath tub buck naked, there is no hot water. Get your mind around that picture. Water heaters craps the bed. So while working at the CFA I call my son and ask him what he is doing this afternoon. He tells me he is knocking early to relax. Bad day for me to call but he hears my situation and goes and picks up the heater and gets to the house and helps install it. Damn good man he is. The wife got a plumber to come over and check it out. He tells me over the phone that it will cost 1200 bucks to replace the heater. $540 for the heater cause its a low boy and the rest labor since its in a crawl space. I aint going for that. So 400 bucks for the heater, 30 bucks for the 5th of Crown Royal and 3 hours of fun i stalling it and we have hot water again. My god I think I have hijacked my own thread. Anyway i was thinking of screening tha back side of the cowl. Kind of a different take on @Dieselfuture screening the openings under the cowl.
  14. Been wat hing this one with interest. Mine is after market and suffers from the same problem. I can only get 130* on a good day. Thats with coolant temp at 190*. Wonder if mine rotating the right way?
  15. The steel wheels are heavier.
  16. If its fuel that banjo is about the only culprit. If fuel is leaking from the valave cover you have bigger problems. Just to add though, do you see any leaks where.the injectors connect to the head? That will run off the back of the block, drivers side. Also there is a tee down below the banjo and back behind the fuel fiter canister. Drivers side again. That is the first place mine decided to leak fuel.
  17. See a lot of those miles myself. Still could not justify 500+ dollars for headlights. Call me crazy.
  18. You stay safe up thar girl. We're all in a hot spot now it seems.
  19. Starting see more of it down this way too. Got me a lttle edgy about the whole thing. @leetyI would have thought you would seeing this too, beings you in cali. Maybe @IBMobile too. We aint out of the woods yet for sure. Even South Korea is blowing up with their initial good response from the first wave.
  20. Imspent a long time looking at housings and bulbs before pulling the on what I have before dropping $110 on both. $ 211 for 2 bulbs was not in my future unless I could see how they perform. Got lucky on mine but $211 on bulbs is not in my future. Nice find but I am skeptical.
  21. No one here stocked the pump. Had to order. Almost bought from AA but ordered some extra stuff to. AA had 20% off and free shipping but RA wa still 15% cheaper. Funny thing is the Car Quest part showed the same pump with the Cardone sticker on it. Alll in all I saved 20 % or more from RA. Though with AA if the part fails they will just give another. Got weigh out where you get off better I guess. Who knows the best decision on that doo doo. On top of that I got my tracking info on the parts. RA said usps on the shipping method I chose and the tracking says fed ex ground to be delivere by Wednesday this week. Not bad for cheap shipping and ordering on Sunday evening.
  22. Ordered one today. Should be here Thursday.
  23. Nice to see a run good luck for ya Mike. Hope it all works out.
