Boost Gauge Install?
I use a 60 PSI gauge. My first came that way with the Banks system I bought. The Isspro I have is 60 PSI also. From what I have read here it is much better than the 100 PSI due to the range of boost that I make( around 33 when all is right ). The 40 PSI might be a little light depending on the amount of boost you are seeing. You dont want to be pushing the gauge near the max a lot. Somebody correct me if I am wrong, please.

Turbo And Boost ?
I have a blue chip pump. Had it for 75k with no issues like you. He even sells a stealth cover. He also gets enough money for them to cover a tapped wire. At the time I bought mine he was the only one who said that new electronics were installed on them.

Hard Shifting NV5600
When my ECM went the second time, I had it at a shop and already had the clutch(same one you have)so I had him install it while it was sitting. He did the rear main for me. Cant imagine it is that hard to do. I dont remember any problems with the tranny seals. Sure sounds like you have a great set up for the install. Much better than a piece of 3/4 plywood in the gravel driveway. I did have plenty of help though.

I am not sure, but I saw a picture of him sitting on a mountain side deep in thought about how to make my stay unforgettable.

I could not agree with you more on that. One of the reasons why this company will never go public. I have had the pleasure of meeting and speaking with Truett Cathy, Dan's father, on a couple of different occasions. One of the other reasons he would never go public was he figured the first person to go would be himself. He is in his mid 80's and just last year gave control of daily operations over to his son. He was a very involved owner. If we keep this up I'll sell the house and migrate. No wait, I forget how cold it gets out there. Might have to do a summer migration.

Turbo And Boost ?
It would be worth asking the question before banking on it It would be worth asking the question before betting the VP on it. DAP probably has to send it back to the rebuilder for any warranty claim. I would think they would look for either place being tapped. He also sells a pump that has a warranty with the pump being tapped.

Are going to get a new flywheel of have the old one resurfaced? Check your seals while its open, engine and tranny. Even f they are not leaking it would be good to replace them if you have high mileage. That tranny weighs around 400# so be careful not to drop it on anyone. You should be able to rent a tranny jack some where. I did mine with a floor jack. I bolted a steel plate in place of the cup and strapped the tranny to that. It worked but still worried me while it was up in the air. I was only replacing the tranny since I lost 4th gear in mine, the clutch was only a year old.

Boost Gauge Install?
I used a boost bolt. It came with the Isspro EV 1 gauge I bought. While the boost gauge will alert to lost boost, it wont tell you where the leak is. You need to pressurize the system to find any leaks. I made one out of a 4X3 fernco coupling. I bushed the 3" side down and installed an air connection. The 4" side is a little big and after tightening the clamp I had to put 2 small bar clamps to hold it on the turbo. t is a little crude but it worked and I found my leaks. Someone here has a better set up but I dont remember where of who. IIRC there is a spot forward of the MAP sensor that can be used. I believe Mike has his tapped at that location.

They have been California for for a few years now. I have been as far west as Sioux city Iowa and Tulsa OK. We have also been to Kansas and Nebraska. I believe they are in Colorado too. They are moving that way. I told my boss anytime we want to bid in Idaho that I would go. I know a guy out there that would put me up for a year or two.

Turbo And Boost ?
I a not sure the word STEALTH means much anymore. Especially since all the rebuilders have to have known about them as long as everyone else has. I believe the screw leaves a mark on the electronics.

You cant say much to that. They are different from any other people I have ever worked for. They practice what they preach to any and all. Now if I could get some of them to help clear the ice from my site, I can get another one ready.

Tell Me I'm Not Losing It!
I understand not enough got in to hurt anything. I am just wondering if it HAD pulled it in or oops I poured half gallon in the radiator, would that hurt anything. I dont know what kind of effect if any it would have on the cooling system.

Tell Me I'm Not Losing It!
I believe what he wants to know was if he left it in there and it all got pulled into the system would it hurt anything. I dont know but am kind of curious my self.

Tell Me I'm Not Losing It!
If it makes you feel any better I have done it at least once that I remember. Drained it like you did and never gave it another thought. Whether it is bad for anything I dont know. You should have a reservoir on the back side of the radiator on the passenger side. Should be right there behind the radiator cap.

Smarty S03
From what I have read about the Smarty is that it increases the power on the low end and not the top end. Thats why some folks stack an Edge Comp with it, for the upper end. Definately not an expert on Smartys, just what I have read.

Me rhinks Diesel4life has that issue.

How do you reach 30 psi if your waste gate opens at 20 psi, HX or HY?
-
Smarty S03
As far as your boost, if you are running a stock turbo with no boost elbow you wont see any higher boost. The stock waste gate is going to open around 20 psi. The boost elbow will keep the waste gate closed longer.
