Keystone, no good!
Being a full timer like you are Hex, I understand the frustration. If you have to take it in you are pretty well screwed since you live in it. I personally never liked the idea of turning my house and my possessions over to a bunch of folks I dont know and give them free range of it all. I have been pretty lucky thru 2 new ones of not having to do that. Some things I just fixed my self because it was easier. Never had the flood of stuff you are seeing. You are right about what you heard about warranties and full timing. Full timing will cut a warranty near in half. I believe it is spelled out in the warranty of my current one. I would have to pull it out and check. Sorry for all your trouble HEX, I hope you get it worked out. If I ever do get another it might be new or not, But since i pretty well travel alone now it will be smaller and lighter. Just dont need all the room.

A Hair Loss Conundrum
I have to get my ear hair trim at every hair cut. Sometimes I just do it when i shave. The hair you are loosing on top has to go somewhere. As far as feeling warmer, I guess mine has been so gradual I never noticed any difference. My head has always sweated profusely. Every ball cap I wear looks like a salt lick.

I think if the OBD fell apart I would start there and be sure all of the connections are good. Not sure what you mean by"fell apart".

Sock in tank filter
With my luck if I had done what you did I would never have to go in there again, nothing would break. How did you manage to stay out of that conversation so long.

Sock in tank filter
Got mine out twice without dropping the drive line. Really cussed the the front strap the first time though. Dropping the drive line is not that hard either.

Sock in tank filter
Thas always a good one. but he looks like he is having to much fun with that tank.

Fueling Issues
are you trying to crank the engine or just looking for a lot of fuel at the injectors purely from the lift pump? If your are not cranking try it and see what happens. I can get fuel to the vp thru the lift pump on mine but have heard many others say you cant do it. I dont get alot of fuel that way, just enough to make you think you have a bad leak.

Need help with some issues after no. 6 cylinder replacement...
I have had the whomp whomp sound out of mine for at least 11 years if not 12. I noticed it when I put my k& in. The day I put it not years down the road.

Sock in tank filter
You can remove or lift up the front of the bed and gain access or drop the tank. I have a 5th wheel hitch and dont have much choice. Dropping the tank does not take long as long as there is not alot of fuel in it.

Install fuel pump in series with in tank pump
My ADII came with a kit for replacing the intank pump. It has there version of a draw straw in the module. Both the pump and engine return lines feed back to the fuel basket. I can drain the tank dry. I filled up once and put 34.5 gallons in.

Where to jack up rear of truck?
The factory jack works fine for a flat, but I dont use it for any service work. Hydraulic jack and jack stands for service work.

EGT gauge
Mine has always idled around 275* since I installed the gauge. I dont know who made the TC, it came with the Banks system. My DVM is reading 3.1v and the gauge is reading 90*. That is about all I know. the only other thing I know is the TC was wired to the Ottomind and then to the EGT gauge. - - - Updated - - - Yes, the CFA here in Terre Haute opens on 8-1 and I am free to leave on 8-2 at 1pm. My new CFA starts on 7-29 with a fill in supt until i get there on 8-5. You are correct on the home thing. This new one though is only 30 miles from the house, so I get to sleep in my own bed for a change. The only draw back is I loose my per diem for the job duration. Loosing the money sucks but I have a nice stash of building materials and some truck parts for me to work with. Making the trailer payments out of pocket is going to hurt the wallet pretty hard. Sometimes you just have to take the good with the bad. - - - Updated - - - I did get the egt connected but it reads way off. So I just ordered anew set of Isspro ev to replace them with so I am not tied to a programmer for gauges again. I am getting an overboost code ever since removing the tuner. The only draw back so far has been the engine defueling when to pressure gets high. Can a manual trannied truck go into limp mode with constant overboosting?

turbo rebuild full service
CD mentions rebalancing the compressor wheel. Is that something different? - - - Updated - - - CD mentions rebalancing the compressor wheel. Is that something different?

Fuel pump
I would have to agree with MIke on calling Preflow about the pump. Did you send the warranty card in? If not I would mail it today.

Fuel pump
I had the same issue with mine several years ago and fixing the fuel pressure solved my problem. I think Guess who is on the right track. How old is your AD?

EGT gauge
I guess I left that part out. The job is almost over and its time to head home, the rv and me. The Ottomind took care of EGT's and boost fooling. Since it is gone it will be up to me. Figure I can handle boost with my foot and tranny. I would like to monitor the EGT with the gauge. Lots of grades to pull from Terre Haute back to Hickory. - - - Updated - - - I pulled my egt gauge today and I have 4 wires. 2 to the light and 2 to the gauge. My thermo couple has 2 coming form it. I took the 2 wires off the gauge(not the wires to the light)and connected the two from the TC. I am getting a reading of 90* at idle and when I rev the engine it does go up. I no there is no way I am idling at 90*. I would have to assume that i need 12v to make it work and currently I have just wired the TC straight to the gauge. Gotta be something I am missing here. Bare in mind that you are talking to an electrical 1st grader here.

EGT gauge
I have not pulled the gauge yet. I did take a quick look at the thermo couple and only see on wire coming from it. A very heavy gauge wire. I will investigate both a little better tomorrow. Thanks for the info Tom.

EGT gauge
My Banks system seems to be causing me some problems. Enough that I have removed it and am seeing some improvements in performance. The system came with an EGT and boost gauge both connected thru the Ottomind tuner. They neither one work now since I have removed the tuner. I will be driving back home in about 2 weeks and must travel thru the Blue Ridge to get home and I would like to at least get the EGT working. Would any of yall have an idea of how to wire the gauge to the thermo couple so it works?
