It s hell on the paint. My roof shows it.

Finally!
Looks good, Hex. Mine goes to the overloads and stops and the truck sits level. But being a long bed the center of my hitch is just forward of the center line of the axle.

No sweat Dave, I have had the John Deere down and my truck, but never all 3 at once. Nothing worse the jumping in on something and having the wrong part. Dave

Clean grounds!
There have been a few cases here of alternators out of the box with AC noise on them.

I wish I could have helped but I have never messed with mine. Sorry about the bad day. I can identify with you.

truck died while driving now no start
The pump is gear driven. You are just powering the electronics with the 12v. From reading the codes you posted, I believe the pump is toast.

turbo question
Does this turbo have a waste gate on it? - - - Updated - - - I reread your post and I see it does have one. A boost elbow might be the simplest way to go. Check this out http://www.thoroughbreddiesel.com/edge/boost-elbow.htm. I am not reccomending Thoroughbred over any one else, but it will help ex[lain it.

fuel sending unit
Probably the only good thing that came out of the in tank pump Dodge did for me was a new fuel basket. Bad thing is it cost $900.

Blend door in hvac box is stuck
I take it you have tried to turn the shaft after removing the motor and it want turn. When you had the box out you sent me a video. Did you take any pictures or other video you can look back at and see if something was amiss before you put it back together? Thats how I knew I had clamps incompletely installed in my fuel basket a while back, causing a 2nd tank removal.

turbo question
The waste gate on the stock 02 was set to open near 20 psi, so if it is a stock replacement That would be about right. As far as getting more out of it I would defer to the more educated here.

Newbie 2-cycle questions
My original vp lasted 75k. It was replace under warranty and I never asked why it failed. That was in the time frame of using the Diesel Kleen. I am not saying thats what killed it because i really dont know. The reman they put on lasted another 142k until replacement. It survived one lift pump failure, and an intank pump with crappy pressure. For most of its life it ran on LSD and not ULSD. I could still find it in some locations up to 09 or 2010 I think. Cant remember when it was completely phased out. No additives at all.

I second that one Mikey.

Newbie 2-cycle questions
I ran diesel kleen for 2 to 3 months many years ago and never saw any benefit from it. No better mileage, performance, nothing claimed on the bottle. I was sorely disappointed with it. From the studies i have seen here and else where I am glad I stopped.

Oil Sample tooling
I am paying attention. I just have so much on my to do list it si hard to add something else.

Newbie 2-cycle questions
Just be sure to put it in your diesel fuel and not the gas.

2013 Ford diesel accidentally put gas instead of diesel......
I dont know how many times I have pulled into a gas station with 6 bays only to find cars parked at all of the diesel/gas pumps and nobody at the gas pumps.

truck died while driving now no start
Maybe, The codes will help with that. - - - Updated - - - the sender is probably toast from the water hammer and is not reliable, I would think. The first One I put in very similar to yours and it did not last 2 months. Is your gauge hooked up to that sender in the photo or just connected to the fuel filter canister. A pic would be nice. I apolagize. The above statement was meant for someone else. I have no idea where your sender is.

truck died while driving now no start
If the key trick is checking both computer you would see p ecu, then codes, then p done. Then you would see p pcu, codes then p done again. Mine reads both, I might have the ecu and pcu backwards, but either way you would see p done twice. My 02 does not always read all the codes with the key trick, a scanner is better. - - - Updated - - - Thanks for the signature. That raptor ought to be pushing better pressure than that. to answer another question you asked, jumping the relay while starting is feeding constant 12v to the pump thus full pressure. The ecm cylces the relay on and off to reduce pressure. - - - Updated - - - Thanks for the signature. Interesting oil filter
That is interesting. A touch pricey though. - - - Updated - - - That is interesting. A touch pricey though.

Just changed my fuel filter, truck has not been the same since!
Yes they dohttp://www.vulcanperformance.com/Schrader-Valves-s/370.htm. you ought to consider a fuel pressure gauge in the cab. Proper pressure to the VP44 is very important. Not only idle pressure, but WOT pressure under load also.

truck died while driving now no start
How are you checking the codes? The 1693 is telling there is another code in the other computer. I am assuming you are using the key trick to pull them. 01s, 02's and I think some 00's will read both computers. Others want. No matter what year you would be better off reading them with a scanner so you can get them all. As far as your fuel pressure goes, when you turn the key and try to start the truck the ECM will cycle the pump to reduce pressure for starting. You would typically see about 50% pressure. If you are still running the oe carter lift pump that could be your problem or not. You need to get the codes read and post them. Another thing that would help is to fill out your signature in the user control panel with all you know about the truck. It will help greatly. We just need more info to help.
