  1. Just be sure you do mount it after your fuel filter, that way you get an accurate reading for what is going into the VP and you will know for sure when your filter is gettting used up. I also second the vote on the polyon that Mopar is using. I have some at home and one day I am going to install it.
  2. I used the vulcan big line kit and a tapped tee and needle valve to install my mechanical gauge. You could easily install you sender in the same location. The needle valve is barely cracked open to isolate the gauge from the water hammer of the VP. The big line kit would help your fuel flow to the vp instead of the oe stuff. The oe stuff is pretty restrictive.
  3. Is the speed rating shown on the tire any where? I have load range g's on my Cardinal but dont remember the brand. I will check them later today.
  4. check this out concerning the 14psihttp://forum.mopar1973man.com/threads/5678-Edge-Comp-and-Scangauge?p=52221#post52221 Just saw this from Mike concerning scan gauge and 14 psi http://forum.mopar1973man.com/threads/5678-Edge-Comp-and-Scangauge
  5. Good info. thanks Mike. My hat is screwed to my head.
  6. I wish I had know about this when mine went out 3 years ago. It does appear to be a very simple job and much cheaper than a new one. But I was suprised when I replaced mine it only cost $100 for a new one, not a rebuilt.
  7. 14 psi with the engine off would not be normal. Sounds electronic, Probably beyond my knowledge.
  8. I have been think about putting the FTE resonator on mine, straight piping from there and tossing the Banks muffler. Sounds like the cops dont have alot to do in your neighbofood. Wher do you live?
  9. Since the numbers match an HO I would think injection pump. Plus he has an AD 150. Hey NYcumminsfarmer if you go to the usercp and click on edit signature you can enter all the info aobut your truck and it will show up on every post you make and eliminate any confusion. Look at the bottom of gassernomore and mine.
  10. All sounds good. Just dont ____ off the beaver, it might not like riding in a gasser.
  11. :thud:on those hoses.Whate ever comes on them must be good. I still have my OE's. No cracks or soft spots. they still seem ot be holding well. Hopefully they will give me some warning before they blow.
  12. :lmao2:but it does suck.
  13. I appreciate what you are saying and dont plan to run out and have my head pulled. I think after 9 years of knowing to sound is there and apparently no ill effects, I am going to live with it for 9 more.
  14. John, now you are scaring me. I first noticed the thumping in mine 9 years ago when i swaapped out to a K&N(easy guys its gone now). It was still making the noise when I swapped to the BHAF. It is a little more noticeable with the BHAF than the K&N. The sound has been constant thru the years and I have never given any thought to being any thing wrong. I take it the noise went away after rebuilding the head?
  15. I did not notice your truck is a CR. So that might mine an uneducated guess. It just did not seem out of the ordinary to me.
  16. I dont see that yours is acting differantly than mine when free revving it. It seems to me when revving that much metal in one direction and you left off the throttle forward momentun is goinng to keep it moving in that direction briefly before the rpm can go down. When I get out off the house today Ill look at mine, but I would be suprised if I see anytging differant. The sheer weight of all the parts you have moving would overcome any resistance in the engine briefly before it could slow down I would think. I am sure some of the more technicly inclined here will straighten me out if I am wrong. The video looks pretty normal.
  17. I first noticed the noise in mine 9 years ago, so you probably have a long time to wait. I occasionaly hear it on other videos here and elsewhere. I am believing it is not abormal. It would be nice to know what it is though.
  18. Welcome to the farm here.
  19. I installed some RV's about 3 months ago and am quite happy with them. They added a nice boost in power across the whole rpm range. I also picked up 2mpg with them empty a little better than 1mpg towing. It does make me wonder how much more I would haved like 75hp injectors, but I guess that will be for another time.
  20. Go get it Beav! Wally
  21. By friction modifier do you mean the same stuff I put in my LS diff? I have heard of a few folks doing it, I just did not know whether it would be harmful to the tranny. Evidently not. Are you going to try the modifier and extra fluid? Id like to know how that works out. I dont particularly wont to buy anothe nv5600 any time soon and any thing that will help this last interests me.
  22. I am only going to get about 45k out of a set of new Pirrellis at $800. Not very happy about that. I can get a set of Michelin ltx out the door at Discount tire for $1200 with new replacement even if I tear one up. I can get about 60k to 65k out of the old style. The new style is supposed to go farther but I did not have $1200 at the time.
  23. At 14 mpg you get 350 miles out of 25 gallons. Your fuelly says 14.1 mpg. Help me with the math.
  24. I replaced my master just over 2 years ago with one from Advance auto and the slave about 6 months ago from Rock auto. I just bought what they had off the shelf and did not ask for anything heavy duty and they both work just like the oe stuff did. I sometimes have to put it in 2nd before first and reverse is a little stubborn occasionally. The truck has been like that since new. When my master was failing though it was differant, I sometimes had to shut the engine down just to get it into gear. I put a Valair clutch in about a year ago, forget the mode number but it is organic facings good for 400hp. the pedal is stiffer but functions the same as th oe set up.
