I need some help diagnosing my heat problem please
i saw some cores at rock auto with the same part #. differant brand though. also saw them on advance and auto zone with the same # differant brand. they did not sya anything about swivel connections. i need to do my evaporater too. been putting that one off. just dorve to my daughters house and have sprung a coolant leak in addition to my oil growing. got some new rv 275's for the second problem. was not expecting the 1st problem. i think my sunday is spoken for now. the coolant leaking form the front right of the engine. got here to late to be able to see it. oil growing coolant shrinking aint that lovely.

id like to try a 3.3 but to many other things in line ahead of that. mines pretty good right now except for straight line down the highway. to many corrections on some roads to stay straight. it is worse with anew set of tires.

Stalled and Won't Restart
i learned from leaving my keys in the switch with it on all night. drained them so bad the dinger would wven work. they have not been right since. new ones are in my near future. oh great one in the potatoes areyou there:pray:

my shifter is alot closer than yours. it is only 2 1/4" from the console. i put a new shift tower in with my tranny swap and i have read somewher that the later 5600 had a differant bend on the tower to get the shifter closer to the operator. it does feel alot closer than my old one.

it shouldnt. i have done mine like that a few times. never disconnected them to charge. i would be interested to know if i have been screwing up. it has never caused me any problems that i know of.

i am still running my stock ones. my rv puts overloads just on them when towing and they are still working fine. i only move the rv about 6 times a year so i would not expect much wear. are your wearing out?

saa long as you dont get them so deep that air can find a way in.russ, 36grit and steel i have done, 36 grit and rubber( or what ever it is made of)i have not done.

Stupid Question #29: Batttery Disconnect
i have forgotten to reset mine before. i think i had a problem with it a couple of times but dont remember what. so if you froget to and drive off and everthing is working right just keep on driving. again no harm no foul. i might reset mine tomorrow with that half throttle thing you said just to see what happens. i think iam going to have to file on that battery cable. my oe on the passanger side doesnt tighten as well as it used to.

sounds like a pretty good idea. but did you use 36grit or 360 grit? 36 would be a large abbrasive.

My ball joint fiasco...
i had to pound both of the lowers out of mine. the press i had would not fit the lowers. it fit the uppers and they came out alright. 7 hrs tough, that ought to be against the law.

not runnig is kinda weird. 232 is fuel shut off signal voltage to high. i think but am not sure that this is controled thru the ASD relay in the PDC, the fuse box under the hood drivers side fender well. you could swap that relay for the horn relay and see if it starts. that will let you know it it is a bad relay. beings that i am not any electronics genuis at all it would not hurt if some one else might help us with this. but it is some thing to try and you wont hurt anything by doing it. if it does not work swap the relays back and make sure the horn works. then you willknow it is not the relay.

is your truck doing any thing weird? if its not you could just clear the code and see if it comes back. if you fill out your signature we will all know what kind of truck you have.

if you are pulling alot of heat out off the core the oulet hose on the heater should be cooler than the inlet since you are taking heat out of the water. core could pe plugged up or the duct work full of crap or the fins in the heater core could be full of trash. mine needs the same treatment. i am also getting a little wiff of coolant every now and then. hope it make one more season.

i lifted mine today(bahf)and it popped off of the tube. lifted it pretty high. i have never noticed that it has slipped at all. i usually just take it off the turbo, tube and all and it has never slipped apart. kind of suprised me. but the seal appeared to be very good. it would be nice to have it clamp together better though. gonna have to think about that one.
