my HVAC man has a 2011 dually with a 6 speed. we swapped today for a very short drive. when i stepped on the clutch i almost put the pedal to thru the floor board. i swear icould push it in with one finger. when i went to let it out i did not think it was going to come up. i just kept lifting my foot until it cmae up all the way amd with a big jerk off i went. the whole time i am wondering what he thinks about the way i drive. we get to the job and both get out. he is holding his leg and wondering how anybody can drive a truck with a clutch that pushes back like mine. we both had a good laugh about it. it was a very nice truck but the clutch is so soft it reminds me of a little compact car with a hydraulic clutch, not a big dually. never been a fan of a clutch that soft unless i get stuck in traffic the goes slower thatn 1st gear at idle.

i might try the 180 and see how it works. i just cant figure why the 190 should cost 35 bucks more for the 10 more degrees.

i guess this means we all had mothers. with a wait till your father comes home too.

i bought a vp for mine because it was going bad and the ecm went out before i could install it. :spend:bought a clutch because i had 225k on mine and figured it was about gone and my rebuilt ecm went out. :spend:installed the new clutch while waiting on my ecm, drive it for 2 months and the tranny went out. :spend:installed new to me tranny and all is well now. KNOCK ON WOOD. rented car for wife to drive during all of this. PRICELESS

watch out for Mike though, he doesnt bite, but he has a screaming beaver you gotta watch out for.

the one i had priced was a 190.

they quoted me 70 bucks for the cummins in Liberal Kansas about 4 months ago.

the creek is clean and a little money in the pocket. that aint all bad. but here is wishing yall some rain out there. no floods allowed.

the one befor the oriellys made in isreal or germany was the napa with the same results. what part number did you get? i got the one that cost $27 i think. did not pay attention to the part #. i just want one that works and have not tried the cummins yet. but $70 is alot for a tstat.

i take the chart pretains to the cummins tstat. wher did you go to get the info with the serial number?

i grew up with 2 brothers and 2 sisters. iwas right in the middle. when mom was pissed she come out looking for one of us trying to get the right name out. when she tried the last name out of her mouth was who she was looking for. tom, emily, bill, flo, ooohhhh DAVID!!!! that was the run for cover sign because some justice was about ot be adminstered. they are not with the 5 of us anymore and sorely missed. but i was blessed with a great upbringing. the world could use alot more of what they doled out to us. it gave us what we needed to get in by the world. would not trade them for anyone i have ever known. love ya mom and dad.

i used to pull my 5thwheel with a V10 dodge. 4.5 mpg. that was tough even when gas was .95 a gallon.

that was discussed in the thread on CF and supposedly cummins had a new part and part# that was supposed to fix that. i have got both numbers somewhere, just cant put my hands on it now. gonna check it ou be cause i am tired of watching the gauge move so much. $70 from cummins +tax --- Update to the previous post... it could they can stick open or closed. they can just hang up little also mine just cant decide how far to close. yours might be having a hard time decideing when to open.

i have used tstat from advance, auto zone,oriellys,rock auto, and the high dollar one from napa. al have had the same results. i run cold most of the time. mine will swing form 165 to 185. you can watch the temp gauge and watch it climb up and down.when towing the temp will be about 5* warmer but still sways around like empty, just alittle warmer. i have replaced it withdifferant ones 3 times this year. the latest one from oriellys. labled Murray Plus+ no differance than the others. says made in isreal on the box but says germany on the stat. the $70 cummins is the only one i have not tried. read a long thread on CF about this a few weeks ago with folks having the same problem. most had just started living with it. i would like to find a solution. i believe the cummins is next.

i was tuly impressed both times i saw that documentary at how those firefighters handled themselves during the entire ordeal. extrordinarily cool calm and profesional even when the south tower collapsed and they were stil in the north tower lobby. truly remarkable men.

i believe my time frame was a little longer. but mine did not explode either.

i saw a documentary yesterday that i saw many years ago. i had to do with a ladder co in newyork that had there command post set up in the north tower. the whole time they were in side you could here very loud crashing noises. it took them a little while to figure it out. it was the bodies of people jumping hitting covered walkways around the building. I cant imagine the hell that makes you chose jumping as a better option, but i know i am not going to burn if there is another way. I believe we all need to remember the hell that was 9-11.
