congrats. i would not of thunk of that one myself.

shortening slave cylinder rod?
single here also. i like you would be a little leary of cutting that rod unless someone knew how much. if they say 1/2" i would cut 1/4" and see how that worked. if it doesnt cut some more.

shortening slave cylinder rod?
i just put a new clutch in mine. my clutch pedal sits higher than the brake about 3/8". i think it always has but i never paid it that much attention. mine starts to engage about halfway up, maybe tad higher. but it all feels right. does not feel any differant than it has felt over the years.

My latest contemplation... DRW shortbed...
i am looking at the charts in the owners manual that came with my truck and it says; QC4X4 2500 w/3.55 or 4.10 rear gear and 5 or 6 speed GCWR 20k 3500 w/3.55 rear gear 5 or 6 speed GCWR 20k 3500 w/4.10 rear gear 6 speed GCWR 21.5k GVWR 2500 8.8k 3500 11k ther appears to be a little more differance than i remembered. the 3500 has a good bit more payload than the 2500, but not alot of differance in the combined load unless you have the 4.10 rear end and HO engine and 6 speed. if my memeory serves the HO was the only way to get the 6 speed.

I need more Fuel PSI
get the spring. the lower fuel pressure will probably kill the vp quicker. 2 stroke for sure.

not trying to hijack anything, but how accurate is the map sensor compared to other setups yall are speaking of? my gauge is getting its reading from the amp sensor.

Ball Joints
even then they are going to be tight. a press is very helpful and you can get them at advance or auto zone and other places for free if you dont want to buy one. you definately need one to get them back in.

Egt temp
i have question to add to this question; if your egt is 1200* how hot are your pistons? is the oil and the cooling jackets not taking some of this heat away from the pistons? --- Update to the previous post... just throwing this out as a comparison from my trip back to Elizabeth city NC; grossing about 21k 70 mph empty, 6th gear, flat ground 4 psi, 750-800*F 70 mph loaded, 6th gear, flat ground 10 psi, 850-900*F i am reading boost off of the MAP sensor. not sure how accurate it reads. egt's are coming from a themrocouple in the exh manifold.

Ball Joints
if you torch those ball joints, make sure everbody near the truck is wearing Kevlar, they will explode just ask Mikey or better yet his buddy that needed the Kevlar.

lift pump want stop
i figure he can wire in a toggle switch and just flip it on and off real quickly and make it work:lmao:. it seems a waste to have to replace such an expensive part due to one portion of it failing. but with that part of it failing it probably is not long for the world any way.

Passing Lane Boost
my son flys as a flight engineer on C130's and said it is a real kick in the pants on take off. a C130 doesnt need much room for take off anyway, and they can fly them in some pretty crazy places.
