4th gen steering shortfalls?
My oe sealed TRE's lasted 250k before one was going bad. I am still running all the factory sealed u joints except on the front axlea. One failed so I replaced both. They have grease zerks but I have not added any yet. That was about 2.5 years ago. I did seek out and manged to find 3 new old stock u joints for the rear drive shaft for future use. One has to give sooner or later. For me the sealed is the way to go. But are they as good as they used to be, your guess is as good as mine. I should add that I replaced all the front end with Moog non sealed parts and they are approaching 250k. I sure dont grease them that much and the seem ok still. This includes the ball joints.

Power Steering Fluid Leak
Glad I went to bed at 9pm. Not sure if I need to cry or throw up. Maybe both.

Oil change interval
Oh yeah. figured I would get one for 500k but we'll see.

Oil change interval
me too, while my family looks on trying to figure out whats going on. I did at 300k and 400k and they just dont get it. but I do, 13 years without a car payment with a pretty trustworthy vehicle.

Oil change interval
I was hoping you would chime in. As I remember from way past posts you had made that you had me beat hands down. When 999.999 comes up, you just quit counting. Or I can send you my spare cluster, it only has 133k on it. I put a couple a miles on it when I had it in mine. Was surprised the mileage appears to store in the cluster. Thought it would be in the ECM.

Crank, no start after replacing 2 CKP sensors- Fuel issue?
I have to agree with @Dieselfuture. The tone ring should rotate with the crank. If you can turn it with little resistance it may have come loose from the crank. If so your good crank sensor is not seeing spin as it should. I darn sure would not give up on the ECM yet. You will have to send the old ecm in for a rebuild or pay a premium for no core.

Oil change interval
I will tip 500k in about 6 weeks, 494k and change at the moment.

Buying a Quad soon
I think you asked the right person about that. Not sure how the Quad uses map info. But I would think it works in tandem with it.

Crank, no start after replacing 2 CKP sensors- Fuel issue?
Do you mean the tone wheel rotates on the crank or did you turn it with the starter? It should rotate with the crankshaft.

Airdog problems... again...
Yes to what @Haggar says above. It would be better for the ECM to control the pump if that portion of it has not failed.

You calling me cheapskate? Super Tech is cheaper. Delo is about $1 gallon cheaper than Rotella, so maybe I am. All in fun my friend.

PCM bad?
Electrical gremlins are mysterious creatures. I have fought some thru the years and won but still not sure how I won most of them.

Oil change interval
Just google the filter number and many options formthem will pop up. I got my last at filterspro.com i believe. Bought 6 or 12 of them for about 12 bucks apiece to the door IIRC.

Oil change interval
I have run dino oil in mine since with good results but I am not knocking sythetics by any means and @AH64IDknows them well. It does not sound like you are hard yous with your use. Change mine anywhere from 7500 to 10000. A lot of highway miles on mine these days but idle alot also. Good oil and a good filter will treat you right. I ran Rotella for many years and for the past few Delo 400. I run this as filter. @AH64ID turned me onto these a while back. Not sure how they are with synthetic.

Chevy tow mirror
Kind of thought that is what it was but it looks odd from the street side. Run one myself but different. I figure if I do something to my truck and it serves me well, I am happy. Those that dont like it dont have to ride in it.

Pilothouse/RAM3500 build

PCM bad?

Chevy tow mirror
Great job on the install and I am happy you like them. They do look odd but they are not on my truck. What is on the dash, driverside?

Airdog whining under high fuel demand
Mine just went thru a spell of that before the VP let go. Thought I had an air leak and was putting it off until more time at home. Never set the CEL either. But when I did check I found a 216 code.

Airdog whining under high fuel demand
I have lost 2 AD pumps and you could still drive the truck. Never heard a sound out of either. Lost the OE pump and the truck would not run. Would not hurt to check for codes. You never know.

4th gen steering shortfalls?
I do remeber a recall on one of the tie rod ends for some of them. But recall which ones were covered in it. I am interested my self in the upgrade. My Moog parts have been on for about 240k now and will be needing replacement soon I think.

Crank, no start after replacing 2 CKP sensors- Fuel issue?
We did have someone on here a little while back that had the tone wheel on the crank malfunction in some way. He did have to replace that tone wheel IIRC.

Airdog problems... again...
If I understand correctly one pin is for the short prime and cranking and the other is for constant 12v while the engine is running?
