Shrouds for the retrofit came in. Here’s a teaser of the final product: Now I gots a question and want y’alls input. One member (@jlbayes) says I should put demon eyes in there. Another member says absolutely not. Demon eyes are these (light the projector lense from behind): Thoughts?

It's cause Lavon does what he wants (like the triple turbo cummins that blew up on the dyno) and kicks *** at UCC. And he makes good transmissions.- Stock clutch torque and hp rating
I had that. Kid put in 80w-90 in my NV5600 after a clutch change (light flywheel resurface and no new hydraulics....) and then swore up and down that's the correct fluid (despite the PTO cover stating the Texaco part #). So I cancelled the charge on the card and had a different shop put in a clutch I brought them. New shop did good on the install and fluid flush with the exception of wrecking the pilot bearing upon install of the trans. Since then, I too do as much work as I possibly can on the truck. (Which is basically everything because @TFaoro's shop has a lift!)- Stock clutch torque and hp rating
Once you get used to how the dual disk engages, daily driving/having fun is no different than a single disk. It's always going to be more grabby than a single disk, and feathering it is almost out of the question. Stop & go traffic sucks pretty badly. But, if you're looking at 7x0.010's, you're going to be around 1200 ft-lbs of torque, which almost necessitates a dual disk for you.- Engine ECM
Mike I think he's looking for the bolt that holds the electrical plug into the ECM. I thought I heard somewhere that it was around an M6 x 1.00- VP44
That area must be haunted! There's a cemetery on a mountain back road (basically forestry road) that every time I drove by it, the truck shut off in the same place. Did it when three different people were with me. I don't drive by there anymore. A different mountain back road, I had a similar thing happen with the white smoke and retarded timing. On a brand new VP at 2.30 am- Maintenance/performance upgrades
Lift pump. Fass, airdog, or mechanical. Two stroke oil for the fuel Gauges for egt, fuel pressure, and trans temp if automatic.- VP44
No. Quad shows commanded timing. That's the unfortunate thing with our goofy electronic/mechanical injection system. We can't see actual injection timing or duration (two variables that would let us dial our trucks in like the CR guys can), so we have to best guess it. Thankfully Nick got it damn close.- VP44
There's not really a way to test for the timing piston position. Usually it will trip the 0216 code, alerting you that the piston is stuck somewhere. In your case, I'm betting the piston is starting to get stuck in a retarded timing position, and the 0216 code may be following shortly.- trreed's upgrade thread

I’m very excited for them. After they go in I’m finally gonna get it on a dyno. I’ll only be the reason you get studs and injectors. Not the reason you stole parts off her truck!- trreed's upgrade thread

Facebook lol. He made a post about it. Should be a good time. Hopefully I can get some enjoyment out of them before I break something. After these show up, I'm gonna lay off the performance mods for a while (I'm really gonna try to) and focus on cosmetic modifications. Fixing hail damage and maybe a sport bumper. Silverado bumper for the rear. Might mess around with different seats. Then eventually paint way down the road. Either stay with Patriot Blue or see about a nice dark grey. Who knows.- trreed's upgrade thread
@notlimah fine....... Infinite Performance had two sets of 6x0.013's ready to go this weekend so I snagged a set... 305 bar pop pressure, 0.016" pintle lift. Average build specs, but should put me at the high end of the VP's fueling capability with my current compound setup.- trreed's upgrade thread

I'm getting started on another headlight retrofit, this time using housings that have LED DRLs in them and square projector shrouds. Will update as parts arrive!- Everyone post a picture of your truck!

Lol that video is slow compared to now. And that 'if' sure sounds like a when....- Everyone post a picture of your truck!
@notlimah I’m telling ya. Compounds are the best.- Everyone post a picture of your truck!
LOL you already figured that out. I’ll see if I can get better pictures tomorrow....... Compounds are the best. You need them. - Transmission rebuilders (Firepunk or Dynamic)
