  1. Would still do the first link from the group you posted.
  2. I would do the first link since they're all the same price and it looks the best. IIRC it's 3/4" hose for the breather
  3. Link? I'm betting it was from an industrial application and then painted black to match some guy's truck.
  4. Different part #'s could be due to different industrial applications. As long as the breather is a square in the back-most part of the cover, it should work fine. A 24v tappet gasket will work.
  5. Yes, the 12V tappet cover will bolt right up. Works great.
  6. If the hole isn't drilled already i'd put the basket nut back on and put the head of the draw straw down to see where it fits best.
  7. Is that enough room to get the basket retaining nut in there beside the head of the draw straw?
  8. Man, you guys should see how much slop a s400 has right out of the box.
  9. That's the exact reason for lubing studs. Not the leaking hydrocarbons part, but to get an accurate torque on the nut.
  10. Comment was more of a joke, but now I'm tempted...
  11. Now figure out which wire to toggle to get rid of the PCM speed limiter for the manual trucks! Please?
  12. Are you ever gonna get that windshield replaced??
  13. I understand the internals of a VP.... But saying "20 is about as high as you can go with a VP" is not the same as saying "raising the pressure above 20 is not going to improve anything."
  14. Why would you want lower pressures? 20 is not the max pressure for a VP. @notlimah - it has the Vulcan airdog spring with the end coil curled to keep the ball from sinking into the spring. Hasn't changed pressures from when it was set over a year ago.
  15. 13" disks found in the NV5600's are good to around 60 hp over stock.... And I ruined one with a smarty that was only adding 30 hp at the time. The reason for the low power rating (~305 hp) is because while the diameter of the clutch increased from 12.25" to 13", the amount of friction material remained the same, reducing actual friction surface area. As seen above, a couple of us have had good luck with 65 hp tuners and stock clutches. Both @dripley and @Marcus2000monster have the NV5600. It all depends on what you want from the truck. Stock power? Edge EZ and 75 hp injectors? Compounds and 6x0.013's? That all factors in to what clutch will be good for you.
  16. If you have wiretap on, it throws off the mpg number. Found that out in Nebraska. I had wiretap on while cruising at 80 mph, quad said I was in the low 20's, but hand calcs gave me 15 at the end of the trip. That being said, if you have two tunes, and one fuels more at a given boost psi than the other, it will take less throttle input to move down the road. Hence why the dyno tune is returning a higher mpg number.
  17. Parts store Fel-Pro ftw.
  18. What compounds are you planning to use?
  19. About stock power. Some people have good luck with stock clutches and a bump in power, but I ruined one with a smarty that was only adding half of the advertised power gains. Granted, I had the 13" disk, which has less friction surface area than you would think.
  20. @Dieselfuture, there is a tolerance range that Cummins specifies. .006-.015 on the intake, and i forget the range on the exhaust rockers. But .008 & .018 are within spec. That's what I run too.
  21. I know!!!!!!! Oh well.
  22. Yes, the 2016 F350's have a VNT. Thankfully they got away from the goofy double sided compressor wheel that acted as a "compound" setup. To get a 2nd gen to be as quick as a new ford would take about half as much money as buying a new ford. Compounds, tuner, injectors, and supporting mods. And transmission if auto. Manuals will never feel as quick as a newer auto. To get a new 4th gen to be as quick as a new f350.... We'll let @Me78569 figure that one out!
  23. Pressurized the tank. 40 psi of air on top of the fuel mass was enough to push fuel to the pump. Primed the system under pressure, got the truck running, and then no fuel pressure once the lift pump was on its own. So a Fass has been ordered. And I didn't have to drop the tank!!!
