Morning Pic For Today...........Post A Pic around your place.....
No. Bald wood is dry and hard as heck. I have had full chisel skip off of the round as I was trying to lay the saw in to noodle it. My 7900's have ripped the teeth off full chisel chains on hard stuff. Aggressive semi chisel is where it is at. Try having 25 cords cut/split for heating 10,000 square feet every season. By yourself and split by hand. That was the routine until we had a wood processor show up last year. We are all busy and low on spare time.

You could of already had it noodled into quarters and drying. Not hard and doesn't take much more time. I would not use full chisel on bald wood though with bigger saws. If you have semi chisel that will work much better. There are times were less aggressive is better.

Screw that. Seriously. Noodling is your friend. And your Stihls are some of the best designed noodlers I have seen . Cocktails on the deck last Wednesday. Great night. Mosquitoes were not bad.

Treadwright Remold Tires
Interesting. His are load range G, 14 ply, and 110 psi. Still speed rating L, but I know the truck went a lot faster than 75 coming home from Rochester. He said things only got western in the rain, which would be expected from a cab and chassis at that point. The compound is not hard to the touch. It is soft. The ply rating, yeah that's hard. If you are not absolutely attached to the look maybe try and hunt for some stock 16" rims. Then your tire choice explodes.

Treadwright Remold Tires
They are all the way around on his truck. I would not fret that. Drive and steer concerns are big truck territory. Only brand new tires are used for steer but "retreads" can be used for drive.

Treadwright Remold Tires
Why yes they do. http://www.sailuntires.ca/MRT/S740.html Eta. Upon further review seems to be a Canadian dealer only tire. Sorry

I Thought the Truck Looked Crooked From the Rear
And I found the reason. Yay. Another win for Minnesota winters. I thought the racket was just from stuff bouncing in the bed. Nope. Im going to replace the passenger shackle as well.

Treadwright Remold Tires
@leety These are the factory stock tires that came on my neighbors new to him 2016 f450. Surveying company in canada buys the trucks , puts different rims/tires on them, and trades every 2 years. So these are new factory setup. Tread is similar to his dump truck rear tires that he likes a lot. Reminds me of a blizzak and kind of soft to touch. Eta: The brand is Sailun. Kind of hard to make it out in picture.

6 Speed manual transmission ~ NV5600 ~ General Questions
https://www.amazon.com/Genuine-4874464-Manual-Transmission-Lubricant/dp/B000TWI45M Yeah its not cheap. Last time I bought it was 7 bucks over counter I was questioning if they were still smoked from the night before. Realistically any of the approved oils "should" work ok. Your grand father is a dumbass. sorry. all you have to do is have it in 2nd and let off the clutch with no throttle and it goes. And goes well. If you are have issues with the shift going into gear pause for a bit then try. Its a small big truck transmission not a bmw gated I give you credit for that. Im a little puzzled and spooked about ripping apart the top and filling it. I never have figured that out. So I have a fast cooler coming and I am just going to lay the truck over with the hoist to fill it. I figure it would be the same amount as filling from the top.

6 Speed manual transmission ~ NV5600 ~ General Questions
THIS!!!! This right here!!!! Or stock Dodge Oil. This seqway bloviated bullshit about other xxx oils has no business being in nv5600 thread. Even though they are fantastic in a 4500. Ive had my lowest tran temps with stock dodge oil and that is only compared to Redline MTL. which ran hot as hell.

I can see!!!
I've had corrected vision since 6 years old. Like @Mopar1973Man said, it is just way of life. Only time I wear contacts is snowmobiling or 4 wheeling where I would be wearing helmet and goggles. This winter I discovered that I need cheaters with contacts. My neighbor had to hold the menu up across the table so I could read it. I have real good prescription sunglasses but when weed whacking and messy outdoor jobs I have a set of polarized over glasses.

Fuel Article - Choosing a Tuner for a VP44 Cummins
You don't. At all. Unless you're some gunsel doing bubba math spouting off numbers when you ask him what he's done to his truck. Down the road I am excited to get a Quad and see if the rawness of the good old school boxes can be replicated without the smoke. And I thoroughly believe it can be. A lot of credit needs to be given to Quad for stepping up the game for the dinosaur 24v. It defines the middle child syndrome. I will not lie that I am not seriously intimidated by the whole tuning aspect. I am. I just keep re watching @Me78569 videos hoping something sinks in.

I agree and apologize for coming off a little confrontational. Wasn't my intention. I appreciate the work you've put into this and with the tuning/tutorials for the quad. In this day and age the quad is absolutely the way to go with what you are able to do. Thanks again.

Fuel Article - Choosing a Tuner for a VP44 Cummins
Interesting. Some holes in that chart isn't there? Doesn't quad claim 180hp for the Adrenaline V2 as the PM3 Comp? Heck isn't the edge Hot Comp up there too? Per TST's website. "The PMCE (Competition) adds 180 HP and 450 lb-ft Torque (on level 9) for the standard engine. The HO (High Output) engine (2001-2002) already has 245 HP and the PMCE (Competition) does not make as much of a difference and adds 80HP and 310 lb-ft of Torque. The PM3 starts cutting back at 3000 RPM. The PMCE (Competition) starts cutting back at 4500 RPM." At least Chappel is honest that the PM3 Comp doesn't add much to an HO pump. The Smarty POD is custom tuning in a sense it not? And software #0 whacks the power to half of a stock truck. So essentially a valet mode? The Vp44 record line is good. There comes a point where less is more. ETA - and where are we finding the quad for that price? I cannot find it anywhere for under the advertised price on their site.

Everyone post a picture of your truck!
That's a really cool picture with all of the contrasting colors between the landscape, sky and truck/camper!

Quadzilla not working right?
The tranny temp sender/sensor crapped the bed. The brass part that installs into the transmission. My old truck ate these with my 5600 for some reason and exhibited same symptoms. Erratic readings. Upside is that its a cheap/quick fix.

What an evening
Dang. I thought this was going to be about a cocktail or couple on the deck enjoying the evening fade away into mosquitoes and awesomeness. I was wrong.

Airdog filters only?
The Donaldson 551315 was a no go for the AD150 on my little truck. I had to resort to Wix. The threads were screwy on it. There was a threaded lip that came out instead of recessed. Donaldson Wix. Baldwin water separator worked like a peach though.

Thanks everyone
I'm glad I am not the only one who felt they have a pulling truck waiting in line until the thermostat opened.
