Thanks everyone
I agree with @Me78569 I wouldn't sweat it. Both sets of injectors I had from Chris were great. Idle just purred. The 100's I had were a ridiculously clean 400hp setup. I mean crazy clean. Driving smart with the 6x.013's were clean also once the motor was up to temp considering the setup I had. Next injectors will be from him whatever that step will be. Plus being able to shave in shine of the injector bodies is cool too.

New, to me, chainsaw!!
Top handles and small saws in general scare the crap out of me. I have had more instances with a small saw coming back and trying to eat me than any of my big saws. Keep your chains sharp/touched up and they will chew through wood very well.

Morning Pic For Today...........Post A Pic around your place.....
37 degrees this morning on the ride in to work. I was a froze turd when I got there even with windows up and heat cranked. Walking into work in my stocking cap and jacket zipped up to my chin I met the night xray tech leaving. She was in cut off jean shorts and flip flops. lol I said Hi and chuckled. She looked at me like I was nuts but saw the jeep in the parking lot. She said I was crazy. I told her the ride home will be worth it.

Very fun. Just have to gauge the weather and wind. 0% chance of rain tomorrow so I am rolling into work in a stocking cap. lol. I chuckle when I exhale and my glasses fog up. Clear nights are awesome topless with all of the stars.

Thanks everyone
SWEET!!!!!! You'll have fun! I really like DFI injectors. I had a set of 100's in my old truck and 6x.013's in another. Both idled like sewing machines.

Awesome!!!! Saws are as bad as firearms when it comes to explaining the herd. Lol One is none, two is one, and More is better. My goto saw out of the fleet. Non stock 394 with 32” bar. I love this saw. Balances beautifully Rest of the fleet are 2 very non stock Dolmar 7900’s and a 510 Dolmar that is a little work horse. Have fun with the new saw!!!!

Choosing the right turbo

Please explain what you did by securing your boost gauge next to your pyro. Something is wrong with this whole deal. Just my opinion, your charger is fine, Have you done a manual man handling of the compressor side? No in and out play some lateral thunk thunk but no contact marks on the housing? You have yourself an awesome dumpster fire to figure out. It just unfortunately keeps getting better. How bad was the smoke when you did your test passes? When you checked for boost leaks did you charge the system with air or did you just do a lookey loo and found some obvious ones. Upon further review, your charger did crap the bed or you have a hellacious boost leak still. I didn't think HX35's died unless seriously flogged.

Choosing the right turbo
That is awesome!!!!!!! i imagine the spool characteristics are similar. That would be a fantastic little bulletproof charger. Why is that if you don’t mind me asking. Just curious as to why the preference.

Choosing the right turbo
Oh that’s naughty. Essentially a super b that accepts an exhaust brake. I loved the super b on my old truck. Great 400 rwhp charger that spooled yesterday. Tiny little fart but it moved air.

Maybe. Could explain the smoke if he's farmer footing the throttle. I ran a Smarty from the MAD ECM days on. I never saw that hot with RV275's and 20k on the deck of a goose neck. That was the beauty of mild setups. Plug n play/small injectors/stock charger. You could pull the world and not have your eyes glued to the pyrometer. This was also well over a decade ago. Now you have me thinking. @Jack Owen if the truck is in neutral or park and you hammer the throttle do you blow black smoke? The MAD ECM and Smarty would give a good cloud for me on an off idle snap.

Everyone post a picture of your truck!
Before the leveling kit, my old truck only ever sat level with a load attached due to the camper package. Dodge did it right with that camper package. Essentially a tonner in a 3/4 ton. My new truck has the old 70's Chevelle rake like the old one did before the leveling kit.

+50 Injectors
Imo, there is still something wrong. I just drove 2200 miles with a similar setup except larger injectors. No tuning, no boost fooler, and stuck wastegate. As long as vehicle load was 20% or lower my cruise egt's were 600 degrees give or take. I ran 1920 rpms whether speed limit was 65 or 70 per monitor. Even with short hammers up to 90 mph and 30 lbs boost I never saw past 1000 degrees. And I have no real visible smoke. My old heavily fueled little truck never saw cruising egts like your are experiencing. I might of seen those on Mach 3 bomb runs but never cruising. The "not 50hp injectors" is an interesting angle. May be realistic. If you pressurized the system for the boost leak testing and just found those 2 then you need to start digging. Something is off. I wonder if your pyrometer crapped the bed. I went through 3 on my old truck but they each gave tell tale signs of freaking out randomly. This was my usual view on my trip. Don’t mind the fuel pressure. I’m working on that.

Glow shift 3 pillar mount
I wasn't real impressed with the glowshift 3 gauge mount but for the price oh well. It's mounting was crude, once mounted there is a big gap on the right that you can see the wiring from outside the truck, and my EV2 gauges fit loose. I put a piece of adhesive foam on the mount to help cover the gap. Not the best but it works. I put 1/2 wrap of electrical tape around the gauge to snug up the fit.

Boost leak. You mentioned black smoke smoke and high egts. Those should be non existent with mild sticks. When I had boost leaks with my old truck that had a mild setup the smoke was atrocious and it ran hotter than normal.

+50 Injectors
On my cts2 the map units are psi. My map values are 15lbs higher than the boost psi. The obd boost reading and my boost gauge are identical.
-
+50 Injectors
High egt’s and black smoke, I would start checking for boost leaks. I run 75hp injectors on a stock truck, no electronics, and also have a stuck wastegate. No black smoke, egts don’t go above 900, and I hit 33lbs boost. I would look look into a boost leak of some sorts.

Injectors Only. Anything Else Needed?
Well a little update. should of done this sooner. I was able to hand calc 3 tanks coming down to my parents. 20, 21, and 23. I drove 1800-1920 rpm the whole way down. Speed limit 65, 1800 rpm. 70 mph, needle width below 70. I was in no hurry. I got in a spot around midnight in Indianapolis where I really had to jam it and there was minor smoke in the mirror. Oh well. The idle is squirrelly with these. Just erratic. I had same idle with DDP 150's but never with DFI 100's or 6x.013's. I might keep that in mind down the road. I'm ordering up some parts from Vulcan for a fuel pressure test port in the middle of the line from stock filter to pump. It's a pain in the butt to undo the line to the gauge from the fitting and hook up a gauge. I would rather have an easily accessible spot mid line to hook a mechanical gauge up to. The 13-14 psi for a new pump/filters bugs me. Something is off. I leave for home tomorrow evening. So hopefully mileage is as decent.

When I did the Luke’s link I also did their bushing. I did did the same on my old truck too.

Need help deciding on what color to paint the truck
There is a lot that can be done to same color paint to tweak it. This is how the neighbor paints his dump trucks. Its like the Swedish chef from the muppets mixing paint up. Kinda funny and cool. He’ll have the base color. Then will go rifling through the paint cabinet and come back all giddy. All of his dump trucks are the same color at a distance but up close each has specific differences. Pretty neat. Yes. Bedliner on rockers can be conducive for rust. A pinhole can develope, allow moisture in then developed rust behind. Best thing is you don’t know. Point in case. My old truck. I had it fixed and painted in flat black. I could deal with rock chips and having it reshot every few years. At least I knew what was going on. That being said living in a warm climate you may not have that issue. They don’t salt the roads there. I had no issues with bed but it’s not subject to the same as rockers.

Doors
Thats only 6 per. What about breaks? I mean unforeseen circumstances can wipe out 6 in just adapting and overcoming planning stage. Gotta get rid of those weak buffalo.

painful things to watch people do in their trucks.
My guess would be velocity of the vehicle. For that to disintegrate like that I would imagine a high rate of speed was factored into the equation. Plus vehicles today have more hp on average and weigh less than say 30 years ago. Just a thought.
