2 stroke oil in farm equipment
I've read that all that's needed is B2 for lubricity. At one point many of the states were going to mandate at least B2, but I don't believe that ever happened. It's a shame because many BioD facilities are sitting idle.

2 stroke oil in farm equipment
Tha't what I was going to say, quieter in my B7100. I've been running 50 50 mix of filtered used veggie oil & ULSD for summer, as it gets colder I will go 25 75 & in the coldest of winter just 1oz of 2 cyl per gal of ULSD. The pump needs some kind of lubrication. I want to be running my own BioD, but just too many projects & taking care of my animals takes time. My nieghbor has been running the 50 50 mix for years in his old diesel tractors for his farm in the summer. Just may have to change the fuel filter a little more, if the fuel doesn't get warm enough the animal fat clogs the filter, but if it duz the fat melts away. Dave

Need to wire my slide in camper
John from RVpigtails.com told me to go to a local auto parts store & ask for a "T" fitting that plugs into the wiring harness. All I get are confused looks. For me that "T" would be the way to go because when I go back to my fiberglass topper I can just unplug & be back to what I had before.Maybe I'll try to call a Dodge Dealer. John said that's all they do to make it a Tow Package. Thanks guys for your help, I'll see what I find out!Dave:)

Need to wire my slide in camper
Hi all,OK so I have a plug to my back bumper to run my trailers 7 pin round. Now I need to wire my camper & be able to run both. Duz anyone make a harness for a Dodge to an RV plug. Can I get something w/o having to splice in every where? Thanks,Dave

Having fun with my 24V
What are you guys doing w/ your 24V for enjoyment. I'm really pleased w/ my Dodge Cummins & really glad that I found a 3500 diesel. I'd do it all over again in a heartbeat. The guy that I bought the Sunline Camper from was using a V10 Fjord gasser & it's his daily driver too. I think that's insane. Only 8 mpg's w the camper.

What chip to run
So maybe the "53" block might be ok for you. 10yrs old & 100K, not bad. We'll keep your fingers crossed! I was under my truck looking for the 53 on mine. I didn't see after i got done putting in my crank sensor. I'mpulling a small 2 horse trailer & a slide in camper, tailgating for a football game today. No drinking for me, I'm the DD. Thanks again, Dave

No Tach gauge.
Gr8 2K,Got my in before the rains came last night. I have to still hookup the batts & do the TPPS reset. I had a real PITA time getting the top bolt off. I don't think mine has ever been off. I had to remove the inner fender for a little more room. Didn't damage the bolt head, I just didn't have enough strength to loosen it w/ my 10mm Gear Head wrench. I guess I need to get on the weight bench & do some pull ups!:lol:BTW my ebay deal didn't work out, wrong part, so if anyone needs a Crank Sensor, I have a non-steel bracket one just sitting here.:spend:Dave

What oil filter do you use?
It's really amazing how clean the oil stays in a Cummins diesel. I've had 2 Kubota's, Fjord 6.9 & the oil is/was black as soon as I changed it & pulled the stick on recheck oil level. Still on my second Kubota, what a trooper, the Fjord I couldn't keep it on the road. The Cummins is more like a gasser, stays clean for at least 500-1,000K, even before I put the Frantz by-bass filter in. Dave --- Update to the previous post... BTW, how often should I change the main filter? I change the Frantz's TP every 2-3K.

No Tach gauge.
I only checked Advance, & they gave me a price of 56+ tax. Think I saw one on Ebay for like $44. Fits a 98.5-2002. Thnk I did a search on Cummins Crank Sensor. Best price I found. I think that was free shipping too!My was getting Cranky since I bought the truck 3 1/2 yrs ago. I think it was sending no power to my Raptor in the 95+ degree heat. Luckily I had a gauge, so I was able to see the cause of my hard start situation before I wore out the starter & cranked out the batteries. When I had that happen I would notice no pressure at the gauge even before I would try to do a hot restart. I would just wait a minute or so & it would fire just fine.:hyper:Dave

Anybody Really Know the Answer
Wow, all this because of heat. did have some hot start issues during the 95degree heat here so I could imagine what would happen w an entire Summer of 100+ heat & no rain! Yikees!Hangin w/ my factory original 191K 13 yr old pump! I'll take some issues as we try to nurse her along!DaveI need to update my sig. I do now have a raptor 100 w/ a fp & trans temp gauges. Seems to run better!
