  1. I've read that all that's needed is B2 for lubricity. At one point many of the states were going to mandate at least B2, but I don't believe that ever happened. It's a shame because many BioD facilities are sitting idle.
  2. My Truck runs my farm & fun, It's also carried & pulled tons of hay, wood, animals, & taken ATV's to destinations as well!
  3. All I can say was that my E350 Fjord was a PITA! My wife hated that van. The Dodge is totally more reliable!Glad I don't have it now!:hyper:Good luck,Dave
  4. Tha't what I was going to say, quieter in my B7100. I've been running 50 50 mix of filtered used veggie oil & ULSD for summer, as it gets colder I will go 25 75 & in the coldest of winter just 1oz of 2 cyl per gal of ULSD. The pump needs some kind of lubrication. I want to be running my own BioD, but just too many projects & taking care of my animals takes time. My nieghbor has been running the 50 50 mix for years in his old diesel tractors for his farm in the summer. Just may have to change the fuel filter a little more, if the fuel doesn't get warm enough the animal fat clogs the filter, but if it duz the fat melts away. Dave
  5. Next time change the spring, may be a bit tired!
  6. John from RVpigtails.com told me to go to a local auto parts store & ask for a "T" fitting that plugs into the wiring harness. All I get are confused looks. For me that "T" would be the way to go because when I go back to my fiberglass topper I can just unplug & be back to what I had before.Maybe I'll try to call a Dodge Dealer. John said that's all they do to make it a Tow Package. Thanks guys for your help, I'll see what I find out!Dave:)
  7. My friend used to plow snow w/ his V10, was only getting 4 w the blade up. --- Update to the previous post... Post away guys! Please!!!!! Dave
  8. Hi all,OK so I have a plug to my back bumper to run my trailers 7 pin round. Now I need to wire my camper & be able to run both. Duz anyone make a harness for a Dodge to an RV plug. Can I get something w/o having to splice in every where? Thanks,Dave
  9. Please put a pic of that so I can see what you did. My Sister's Hubby used to work for a NAPA store those deals are done for me, but good for you! Dave Mike Prolly has a few cans of the Paris Hilton stuff hidden somewhere that he's not telling us about!
  10. What are you guys doing w/ your 24V for enjoyment. I'm really pleased w/ my Dodge Cummins & really glad that I found a 3500 diesel. I'd do it all over again in a heartbeat. The guy that I bought the Sunline Camper from was using a V10 Fjord gasser & it's his daily driver too. I think that's insane. Only 8 mpg's w the camper.
  11. So maybe the "53" block might be ok for you. 10yrs old & 100K, not bad. We'll keep your fingers crossed! I was under my truck looking for the 53 on mine. I didn't see after i got done putting in my crank sensor. I'mpulling a small 2 horse trailer & a slide in camper, tailgating for a football game today. No drinking for me, I'm the DD. Thanks again, Dave
  12. cajflynn,A lil of the mark here but you got me thinking, on Craigslist, how did you search that? In what section? Just bought a slide in camper from the list! Better deals there than ebay sometimes, more local too! Thanks,Dave:hyper:
  13. your neighbor sounds like me, if it wern't for bad luck, I'd have no luck at all. I'm surprised the filters didn't clog first. Dave
  14. Gr8 2K,Got my in before the rains came last night. I have to still hookup the batts & do the TPPS reset. I had a real PITA time getting the top bolt off. I don't think mine has ever been off. I had to remove the inner fender for a little more room. Didn't damage the bolt head, I just didn't have enough strength to loosen it w/ my 10mm Gear Head wrench. I guess I need to get on the weight bench & do some pull ups!:lol:BTW my ebay deal didn't work out, wrong part, so if anyone needs a Crank Sensor, I have a non-steel bracket one just sitting here.:spend:Dave
  15. Good news my wife found one for me on Ebay, brand new, she offerd the guy 22 bucks & he took it. He had 3. It also includes free shipping. Mine's on it's way!Dave
  16. From what I've read, oil only gets bad when it's dirty.
  17. Some guys on here have gone 80K w/ oil analysis using a bypass. That would be worth it.Dave
  18. It's really amazing how clean the oil stays in a Cummins diesel. I've had 2 Kubota's, Fjord 6.9 & the oil is/was black as soon as I changed it & pulled the stick on recheck oil level. Still on my second Kubota, what a trooper, the Fjord I couldn't keep it on the road. The Cummins is more like a gasser, stays clean for at least 500-1,000K, even before I put the Frantz by-bass filter in. Dave --- Update to the previous post... BTW, how often should I change the main filter? I change the Frantz's TP every 2-3K.
  19. I only checked Advance, & they gave me a price of 56+ tax. Think I saw one on Ebay for like $44. Fits a 98.5-2002. Thnk I did a search on Cummins Crank Sensor. Best price I found. I think that was free shipping too!My was getting Cranky since I bought the truck 3 1/2 yrs ago. I think it was sending no power to my Raptor in the 95+ degree heat. Luckily I had a gauge, so I was able to see the cause of my hard start situation before I wore out the starter & cranked out the batteries. When I had that happen I would notice no pressure at the gauge even before I would try to do a hot restart. I would just wait a minute or so & it would fire just fine.:hyper:Dave
  20. So remove the starter to get to it? I will call around for some prices. Thanks for you help. Dave
  21. Wow, all this because of heat. did have some hot start issues during the 95degree heat here so I could imagine what would happen w an entire Summer of 100+ heat & no rain! Yikees!Hangin w/ my factory original 191K 13 yr old pump! I'll take some issues as we try to nurse her along!DaveI need to update my sig. I do now have a raptor 100 w/ a fp & trans temp gauges. Seems to run better!
  22. Micheal & JB,Just as long as it isn't the crank behing the wheel!:duh:I saw a used one on ebay for like 20 bucks or should I just get new? Difficult to get at to replace? What would be the code for a good sensor gone bad? Thanks guys,Dave
