  1. But by bleeding the lines, isn't this what agitated the weeping problem. Darned if you do & darned if you don't!:banghead: Dave
  2. The real old timers used to spray there vehicles w used motor oil. (UMO) A farmer that I buy hay from has his original equipment from the 50's. he thins his UMO down w D2, just enough so it spays better. He does it every year after hay season is over. I heard storys of guys spraying there cars & driving down dust roads to make the UMO stick better!
  3. Are you throwing any codes? Do you know how to check for those? Dave
  4. What should I look up to check this out on YouTube? 5.9 Cummins w a Ve351VGT? Dave
  5. Sometimes it seems my ign won't allow my fan to work. It's been fine lately tho.:pray:I did also hear about not allowing to much weight from keys hanging in the ignition.
  6. Agreed! --- Update to the previous post... I've seen some trucks up here w Rhino Liner on the exterior. It looked pretty good actually. If one was to undercoat & do the bottom of the doors, rockers, that would have to be the best & longest protection. Dave
  7. I'd be happy with that nice 2nd place prize.................What did 1st place win? A new truck?
  8. Excellent Greg! Thank you, Dave
  9. My crank sensor made my tach drop down to nothing & made my truck rattle louder than normal but after a minute or so it went any. It also caused a hard start. When it would hard start the next thing that would happen would be the tach drop thing. If you know the part number I have an extra crank sensor. I bought a new one on EBay it wasn't the right one. It's brand new never installed. $20 bucks plus shipping, Think I have about that in it.Dave
  10. Maybe too much for a 3.3? What else have you done to it? OK guys, I've been asking if anyone had info on this conversion. Can anyone post a link? Thanks, Dave
  11. Yep about the same for me mile wise. I don't need my truck everyday so it took me about 2 1/2 days working a few hours a day. My Bro-in-law had to help me lift & hold the spindles, they are heavy. I had to run & get some oversize sockets, & you need a puller that helped. I also went with Moog on all 4. Gotta have somthng w a grease fitting. Keep 'em greased once they're installed too. Yep, lots of cussing. I was able to work on it & leave my tools for the next tug fest. It's nice to not be pressured in not having to get it done say like work on Monday morning & doing it on the weekend with all the stuff going on that we have to neglect to get 'er dun! It is an involved process! I'd do it again.:thumb1:I don't really have a choice actually. W 65K, your probably OK. Dave
  12. Cool! Until it finally starts it seems it's forever too! I had my starter, Denso, down a few weeks back to change my crank sensor, for all the work it does I expected it to be much heavier.
  13. That should cover it!
  14. If you jumped in on the last few posts only I'd have to wonder about you guys too!
  15. Yep, gauge would help! Keep us posted. Dave
  16. So how many times do you bump the key to get ready to fire it over. I don't know, I just do a combination of starting & bumping till it fires. I don't do anything w letting air out of the lines. Inform me guys! Dave
  17. With you I bet you would notice a change!
  18. That may be some of your weeping problem too maybe. Whadoyathink? Dave
  19. So what is the recommended way to start a truck then if this is what happens when we open the line at the injector? Just keep bumping the key?Dave
  20. Nice, the things we learn on this site! Thanks, Dave --- Update to the previous post... I don't really know, that was sorta my question. Since I put all 4 new ball joints & had the front end aligned, it's much better. Dave
