  1. Truck runs fine. Can't notice any difference. I don't drive it much in the winter and I don't tow or haul anything so not concerned about a bit of loss. I just care that fuel flows when it needs to. Anti gel does that for me here.
  2. Anti Gel works for me. Up to 20% bio in fuel around here. No way around it, anti gel is a must.
  3. Good luck with that around here. Only answer you get here is "I don't know". Fuel delivery drivers here have zero interest in talking to anyone. People that work at the stations are lucky to find their way back and forth from home to work, let alone know anything about what they're selling.
  4. Fuel around here gells bad. I've tried alot of different stations and they all gell.
  5. Last year using power service I was gelled bad. This year I used hot shot secrets and never had a hiccup....
  6. Bio is very slippery. Only bad thing is in cold weather, you have to add extra anti-gel to it. Not a big issue. There is a chart here somewhere that Mike posted awhile ago and bio fuel was way up on the anti-wear ability. Here it is....

  9. Have about 4 of wet and really heavy snow here. Have to run back to Harley. Forgot the rebuild kits for the forks and exhaust gaskets......oh, and fork oil. I better write this down.....
  10. Lights, crash bar, engine covers, handlebars, forks.....pretty much everything. Was going to do upper and lower rocker boxes, but with water cooled heads, it's more involved than I want to do right now. I'll tape and cover everything and scuff and paint them.
  11. What the hell did I do? You have someone very knowledgeable trying to help. He's doing so from a computer, so he has specific questions and tests he wants performed so he can make a diagnosis without having you just slap parts at problems. You failed to do what was requested and then go nuts on the guy trying to help. He can't help without answers to what was asked. If your bipolar twisted egotistical mind can't comprehend, that's on you and only you. What I did to piss you off is beyond me. By the way, I'm Max Tune on cummins forum also.   12. I have been inspired....still alot of disassembly to go, but I'm getting at it.
  13. I've been very lazy this winter. I haven't even started tearing the trike down to dechrome it. Already a week into March, I better get going. The Heritage is at the point of needing tires and tubes replaced. Should do wheel bearings this time also. Battery is getting old. I better get on it or I won't be riding till September, and that's unacceptable.....
  14. Possible to have rodent damage somewhere creating a path for electricity that shouldn't be there... That could be a long search that would be my last resort.

  17. Nice catch. I do this on all my vehicles. I'm always just looking at things on my truck. Touching and wiggling stuff. About once a month in summer I pop the intake off the turbo and check what I can. I've headed off breakdowns on all my vehicles more than I can count by finding a problem before it happens.
  18. Couple things. First, this thread hasn't been active since September. Questions in it have been answered so others may not realize you are adding on with a separate issue. Second, you should start a new thread for your issue. That tends to get more views and interest. Now for your problem. You had an alternator burn up. You replaced it. Why are you worried about the new one? Is it acting up or not charging? Any problems after the new alternator? By the way, welcome to the site. Alot of knowledge here and helpful people. It's not crazy busy, but problems do get solved here. Here's your code. You may have grid heaters issue may have burned up your alternator.... Like was said above. You may have a bad battery. Remove them, fully charge, then test each separately. If one is bad, you have to replace both. Good luck...

  23. We used to be guaranteed by gold. Fort Knox is the depository. We've far out borrowed our assets. No different than a home equity loan of 100 million on a house worth 100 thousand. The problem is, the owners of the house are the ones writing the loans against it with absolute abandon. We are so intrenched in debt and spending, there is no way out. You can't pay interest on a loan with another made up number that you can't possibly pay back. The debt ceiling is a made up number based on nothing more than a bunch of people saying this is what we owe. Owe to who? The world bank that will collapse the same time we do? We can't survive because nobody in power wants to face reality and live within our means. By that I mean our tax dollars is the governments paycheck and they need to stop living on more. Doesn't work very long for the working class, it can't work for long for government.
