IAT and MAP sensor
I am guessing you are using winter fuel now and that alone will decrease your mpg if everyhing else stays the same as your summer driving. Not sure how many mpg's that would make on your truck but on mine I lose between 1-2 mpg's.

Turbo Mod
Good luck with that one!

Time for a new truck I think
I have an 00 gen 2 and an 05 gen 3 and while I don't have any specs to verify this, I think the panels on my 05 are a bit thinner than the ones on my 00.I swear I can bump the 05 door panel with my body to close it and if I am not careful I can dent the panel.Same trick on the 00 and no bad results.I had an old 85 Ford F-250 that had even heavier steel in the sheetmetal.I think when you live in an area where the roads are heavily salted in the winter that you not only eat up your sheetmetal but you also badly eat up everything that is metal (frame, ball joints steering etc., etc.).I don't think just replacing the sheetmetal will be the end of the expense. You can dump $8-10k in it and still have to replace all the other things down the road.Maybe a viable option would be to shop for a truck that comes from some non salt using area and then you would something of more value in the end.Don't know the specifics of what you would like to have (crew cab, 4x4, SB or LB, dually or ??) but I have seen some pretty fairly priced trucks in Florida and Texas. I am sure if you did some serious searching (and didn't mind traveling to pick something up) then you would find something better than what you can get up there in Wisconsin.

This is getting old
I was expecting the CR version to generate the most pressure. :think:But I guess we still don't know fact from fiction yet, do we?

- Strange fuel pump problem
Not sure what your vehicle is but I understand a third gen truck with a CP3 probably won't mind at all but if it's a 2nd gen with a VP44 then you are playing with fire. The VP44 can't suck worth a darn so it needs a lift pump to deliver fuel and it needs more pressure to provide fuel for cooling the electronics. Without these it will commit suicide. Just a matter of time.:2cents:If it is a non VP44 and non CP3 then I can't offer much insight.- MPG's Reports
Mileage isn't too bad for the winter fuel but that's an expensive cup of coffee.- Oil Pressure Sender
- Edge Insight cs
I use the Edge Insight CTS for guages. It also is a data logger and will operate the Smarty Pod software. The CS model operates with a 2.4" screen and control buttons to the side of it while the CTS is a larger 4.3" touch screen.I like mine unit because it can monitor the operation of a mutltitude of parameters (many more than you could realistically install independant guages to do the same) as well as gives you the capability to set limits and inform you when those limits are being incroached upon. If you use just the Insight without any add on devices then you can read many operational parameters (i.e. boost pressure, mph, CR pressure, trans temp, voltage, mpg etc., but you can add on things like EGT, turbo cool down timers, other pressure and temp monitoring). It has data logging capability so you can fine tune adjustments on your trucks performance and then verify if those changes made any positive or negative improvements. I also use a backup camera and it uses the Insight as the camera display screen, thus eliminating the installation of some other screen device in the truck for the camera display. You can customize the guage reading layout to show from 2 to 8 parameters on the screen at once and you can customize the background look of the screen. It can be mounted in a pod that is made for the pillar, in a pod made to mount on the dash or to a suction cup that mounts directly to the windshield. Where ever you mount it everything is contained in a pretty compact and efficient device.I currently have mine suction cupped to the windshield and tucked up next to the pillar on the driver side of the dash.- No new taxes!!??!!
X2. Ya, we haven't seen the end of the negative impact to our wallet yet. "You have to pass the bill to see what's in it." (Princess Polosi quote)- Rear disc brakes?
At one time earlier in my ownership of the 2000 Ram 2500 I toyed with the idea of putting disck brakes on the rear.I contacted serveral aftermarket manufacturers and found that TSM Manufacturing offered a kit for my truck. For one reason or another I never pulled the trigger.Don't know if they offer a kit for a 3500 dually. It seems like you may have tried the upgrade route on another truck so this may not be the solution you want but if you haven't checked this route then that may be a possible option.Good luck with your search.- Oil Pressure Sender
The dealers quote for the sender on my 2000 was $250.:doh:I got mine from Genos and only paid $59 a year ago.- Fuel prices dropping?!
I paid $3.53 in Boise today, but I hear from others that prices are still lower in a lot of other states.- Tannerite

"I got my wife a new washing machine. woot."SO are you in trouble?- Replacing OEM back up bulbs
I have one light out on my 2000 Ram but even when it is working it leaves much to be desired.I also changed the bulb but still no light. Will be interested in what you find. I added auxilary backup lights on my 2005 Ram and I can see real good now.- Breakfast Time at Mopar1973Man's Place
Hmmm... Camp meat!- New to this forum need some advise
I use a Smarty but have an Edge CTS Insight for the guage.Edge also makes several options that include the CTS or the CS guage as the programmer controller.Bully Dog also makes one as does Banks and these programmers can come with the guage or without.Actually the list goes on.I would recommend a "google" for diesel programmers for starters and delve into the various products.- Battery Recommendations

Sent it to my brother so he can check it out. Thanks for the heads up.- Happy Holidays from "The Kids"
I have a friend that has a bunch of goats that he uses for pack animals when he goes hunting. He has the paniers for them and they will carry about 40 or 50 pounds each. When he gets an animal down he always bones it out and the goats are packing the meat, cape and or rack but not the extra weight of the animal bones. He takes about 6-8 goats with him on each trip.He has raised them from kids and they all have a name and they come when called. They pack in line going in and out of the woods. When they camp the goats assemble together in a group for warmth and they stay in camp without being thethered together.I have heard some pretty amazing stories about these animals from him..- You're a "Real" Fire Wood Burner if.........................
