  1. if you have read Louis Lamour's novel Lando, you might have heard of this revolver... America Vs. Germany! Browning BAR vs German FG-42! Two gun steel shoot and comparison!
  2. I like the all volunteer service. However, I do think that when we have a huge discrepancy compared to previous generations as less than 1% has ever served. I liked it better when we had less contractors and social services and more military personnel learning and working.
  3. Dang, that sucks! Get better soon, man!
  4. Sounds wonderful. I actually miss the snow. We have half inch long mosquitos here right now in AR.
  5. From my perspective, the main take away from this is awareness. We have a real enemy that our Government has been unable to control recently. Personally, I would say that getting some real professional pistol training and a concealed carry weapons permit is likely the best option. There is no substitute for real training. If that doesn't work, a good knife is never a bad option. And lastly, as always, cardio & exercise!
  6. Neat! Coyotes... you have my attention. When is the inaugural WnF coyote shoot?
  7. It is really irritating that mopar doesn't make their stuff open source.
  8. Nice. My dad picked up one of those.. the compressor was seized though, but the tank is still good. Between three huge compressor tanks he has enough air to float a submarine.
  9. Old gun post of the day. Details on the old west and Tombstone AZ. This thread is gonna become a thing I think. https://www.full30.com/video/be543d6f263238e6c28d6e244b08fb8f And a great video (with LOTS of details) on a Walker Colt. https://youtu.be/UhYlzTABNI0
  10. I just made it. The math makes sense to me. I did this years ago and just measured my own tires.
  11. Hits the nail on the head.
  12. Not on Federal property and for those subject to the UCMJ.
  13. I can see that in some circumstances. I can't legally carry to or at work. However, there is legislation pending that could allow me to carry to and from work and leave it in my car.
  14. I'll have to check mine. It may have spring clamps, and it doesn't have a cad.
  15. I'm running sport lights with a Genos Brite box. High and low beams on high. You could make your own Brite box but it would take some work. I like them a lot.
  16. I'm a colorado guy. Ben Lomond is a gun club.
  17. I have had a lot of tragic boating accidents. All are gone. I would love to as well. I have been casting bullets for my 45-70... and plan on doing some shooting with it over Christmas! I love guns with history! I bet you would love Elmer Keith. His autobiography is one of my favorite reads. Springfield Trapdoors, old lever guns, all the way up to the modern day with Garands, Krags, 1903 Springfields, M-16A1s, etc. I don't like planning on losing! I think an AR or more likely a Swiss K-91 or mosin-nagant would suit your needs pretty well. Although an old Winchester model 94 in 30-30 wouldn't be bad either and would match the hat.
  18. I'd start a new thread and describe what you've done and the problem you're having. There is a lot of info here and your problem might be better presented that way.
  19. Support the NRA. Support your local Sheriff. Take precautions to protect yourself, as police aren't there to defend you, but to arrest criminals. They try, but they can't be everywhere. Educate folks kindly, conservatives won't win over all liberals, but anger isn't going to help. Tell a story. Facts need a story to carry them and give them a shape. Hate and anger will get us nowhere. God chooses the leaders we deserve. There are a lot of great Americans out there. I'm going to keep doing what I can, and urge you all to do the same.
  20. Jacob at DAP was pretty helpful with me in the past when it comes to sizing parts. I'd give him a call as well.
  21. I'll have to check them out tonight!
  22. Nice rifle! I just bought 10 lb of black powder for my 45-70 trapdoor. We should do a cowboy shoot. I am (hopefully ) a member of the Ben Lomond gun club. They have a great cowboy gong range out to 400+.
  23. I totally agree. Wife and I have the concealed carry permit. It is a real pain sometimes, but I'd rather have it than not. For a varmint rifle, 2 or 4 legged... it's hard to beat the form or function of an AR-15. Plus, they've never been cheaper. I've seen m4 style AR builds for a little over $500.
  24. What's expected peak?
