  1. Mine is no slouch just running canbus fueling.
  2. When I bought my bone stock truck I was told the transmission had just been rebuilt. That’s all I knew about it at the time. Once I got home I pulled the inspection cover to find a billet converter. Brand idk. The only thing I’ve done to it is a Dynamic valvebody. And a lockup switch. With all my mods it’s held up fine for several years now. My pump isn’t tapped because it was under warranty. At this point not really interested in it. I don’t want to have to replace a head gasket or drivetrain components anytime soon. The only real towing it does is our travel trailer that dry weighs 6,000 lbs a few times a year. I’ve towed up grades any where from 7%-11% doing 55 mph.
  3. Everything that is going on in our country is on purpose.
  4. Looks good man! What’s the life expectancy of wrap?
  5. I have to ask, what is the difference in the 2nd gen to 3rd gen brakes? Sorry, to lazy to look it up this morning Bigger pads and rotors in the front. All I did was get 3rd gen caliper brackets, pads and rotors. The calipers are the same.
  6. Food for thought. If you picked up some 17” wheels you could upgrade to third gen brakes. Made a huge difference in stopping power for me.
  7. I’m running a hybrid I pieced together. Between that my injectors and a Quad it lights fast and tows like a mofo!
  8. Mine did the same thing and filled the fresh water tank. Replacing the pump fixed it.
  9. Welcome aboard. Looks like you got a nice setup there. If pinching the hose works I would put an adjustable boost elbow in. Then adjust it to what you want.
  10. Are you hauling straight through to California or are stopping along the way?
  11. I don’t look down on success either. It’s the American way! My issue is the majority of these now corporations are ran by libtards. They donate millions to the democrat party. The anti American way party. Oh and don’t get me started on the RINO’s! Sorry off topic
  12. I know without this site and the knowledgeable people on here my truck and my brother in laws would not be as reliable and perform nearly as well as they do now. Any business that isn’t profitable can’t stay afloat. I look at it this way. I remember all the mom and pop stores that used to be around. You knew them and they new you on kind of a personal level , like Mike here does. Now with all these chains stores. They have put them out of business. And that personal level is gone. They can’t give the price breaks that the big chain stores can give. Just look at Walmart. I hate to go there. And I rarely do. I know I can call Mike up on the phone with a question. He’ll answer or call me back. Try to get the CEO of Costco to do that.
  13. Slippery slope! I foresee a Quadzilla in your near future.
  14. Too far south from where the camp out will be but... You not far and could drive up and hang with me. I did a Google map lookup and figured botched the directions typical California. I'm sure you could make the trip up easier than me coming Way to call me out Mike! 🤣
  15. If you get close to Visalia stop by for a beer! 🍻
  16. When the fuel ignition faze happens later less force is pushing down the piston because the exhaust valve is opening forcing that pressure past the turbine thus the turbo spooling faster. With my truck it does like a little more timing. My guess is the slip with the converter and my higher pop pressure on my injectors. My first 10 psi of boost on my truck is 100%. Little to no smoke. As far as the exhaust valves burning unless your holding over 1350 EGTS for a long period of time there is nothing to worry about.
  17. There are a few things you can try incrementally to see if the truck likes it or not. max load offset 2 or 3 Low psi reduction 4 or 5 I watch the timing when I step on it. I don’t let it drop below 12 degrees. Scaling 50% Your 1500 timing I would move to 15. Once you get that dialed in I would try adding fuel on the bottom end until you are happy with the take off/ turbo spool while keeping the smoke under control.
  18. What does the tune look like now? Depending on where you have it now. You could raise your light load timing advance. It will only add it under your light load %. Mine does pretty good around 21 degrees total.
  19. Welcome aboard! Now that’s a BHAF!
  20. Yup life is to short! All work and no play is no way to live life. Enjoy it while you can.
  21. Ya we had a blast! Wish we could have stayed longer but that’s always the case. We’re going to Oceano state park at the end of August. These high fuel prices must be making people cancel trips. We’ve actually been able to find openings at our favorite spots.
  22. I was planning on going but a camping/ fishing trip in San Simeon became available. My brother in law and buddy caught the biggest of the day. We all caught our limit. Good times!
  23. That’s definitely an oh CRAP moment! Glad no one got hurt. And the truck too.
  24. I definitely appreciate this site and everything @Mopar1973Man has done to make it user friendly. The tech articles alone have saved me lots of $ not having to take it to a diesel mechanic. Heck even my brother in law trusts me enough to work on his ‘02. Definitely the best Cummins site out there!
