  1. Good to know. Coldest temp I’ve been in is probably mid 20’s.
  2. Dayum! Can you actually feel the difference between-30 and -10?

Hello! Welcome to the site! Nice looking truck!
  4. If you’re doing springs I’d add push rods to the list.
  5. Repeating what Tractorman said. You’re leaving a lot of Hp and even more torque on the table with only 20psi of boost. You’re HX35 should map out at about 32 lbs of boost. If you don’t have one yet you need a boost elbow or a spring and turn buckle to hold the wastegate closed till 30-32 lbs. once you get the injectors and Quad along with it your truck will tow much better. With a good tune of course. Also at 9k I’d be towing in drive as well. Lower rpm’s doesn’t equate to better efficiency with the Cummins. I just switched back from 285’s back down to 265’s. Haven’t towed with them yet but I will this Friday. Looking forward to seeing the difference.
  6. I think the flapper inside the exhaust housing on mine was seized up. Try moving the diaphragm arm back-and-forth with some pliers and see if you get movement.
  7. Took it apart and rebuilt it. That’s when I saw it wasn’t closed all the way. I cleaned everything up real good. Ran it for a bit longer till I put together the hybrid I have now. It’s on my brother in laws truck now. He hasn’t had any issues. What I also did to both turbos was drilled the waste gate port to 7/8” I believe. I’d have to look at the drill bit. And drilled through to the other port for better flow at higher boost levels.
  8. Ya these trucks aren’t getting any younger but who is? 😂 I just had to replace my water pump again. Maybe had 20k on it. Parked it at my dads turned around and coolant started pouring out of the back of the pump. Things that you are doing are expected. Normal wear and tear. Cheaper than a new truck. Most of the issues and bad reps these trucks get are from previous owners “repairs” or fixes. Like the noise isolation filter for the autos when jumping in and out of lockup. It’s a bandaid fix and the high AC noise is still frying the PCM and ECM’s.
  9. While you have the pump out I would put a new vacuum pump seal kit in.
  10. I’m talking to the wife about going. Once there is an exact date I’ll see if We can get the time off. I’ll try and talk my brother-in-law and sister-in-law into going to. He’s got an ‘02 2500 as well. Heck his truck is what made me want to get one 5 years ago.
  11. Possibly your wastegate is partially stuck open. I’ve had that happen to me with my old HX35. EGT’s were high and no power.
  12. @IBMobile do they have issue with draining your grey water on site? Just asking because some places don’t mind.
  13. Checked out their website last night. Beautiful area! And I love fishing. I see it’s first come first serve. Ever had an issue with getting a spot?
  14. I just ordered the front pair this morning. Says they’ll ship 2/21/22 from the manufacturer . 😦 Glad they are made in 🇺🇸!
  15. I’ve had my set for 3 years or so with no issue. I did buy the cable to adjust the settings on them.
  16. Thanks @JAG1 $67 on summit. Looks like I’ll be buying a set. Did you get the center piece to?
  17. Anyone have these in your truck? If so do you like them and can you post some pictures? Thanks!
  18. Happy New Year!
  19. Merry Christmas!
  20. I know a little to late but about a year or so ago I added a small fuse panel and running a 5 amp fuse to power the Quad. I don’t know if that would save the Quad from a jump start or battery charger but it’s better than nothing. Also I can pull the fuse if need be then reinstall my tune.
  21. Been to BridgePort once. Years ago. Beautiful country! Ya maybe depends on when in the spring you guys go.
  22. Great idea! If time and finances permitted I’d love to meet up with some CA members. My goal also is when I retire in a few years. Is for the wife and I to travel the states. Mostly the red states. I’ve had my fill of the blue ones.
  23. I’d just clean both ends of with soap and water. Let it dry. Then put some adhesive silicone on the part that came off and hold it in place with some masking tape till it’s dry.
