  1. The o-rings on the back of the head for the fuel return line have a factory part number 05015576AC and the dealer has them here for $9.38 each. Does any one know where to get them other than the dealer?
  2. When looking up the tightening specification for installing the bolts that hold the flywheel or drive plate to the crankshaft I found two different values. In the engine section under "Crankshaft Oil Seal - Rear" the tightening torque given is 101 ft. lbs. In the "Automatic Transmission 47RE- Torque Specifications" chart the number given is 55 ft. lbs. One of these is a mistake; which one is right?
  3. You're filling me with confidence.
  4. Yes, it's been shipped and a copy of the bill of lading is tucked under the first strap and bar code labels are on each strap. 3X4 pallet I got for free from Escondido Volvo. @JAG1 was busy building a house. The next time I think about pulling a transmission on may back in the dirt somebody come by and slap me. I'll be putting it in at a shop near here.
  5. On its' way to @Dynamic for a "Stage 2" rebuild with a Goerend convertor.
  6. Don't get me started about the apostolate of the new religion of the left. Does it look like this? I've seen you do it that's why I have to hide them when you come over for coffee at camp.
  7. There are 2 or 3 roofing supply companies here in San Marcos I'll be going to check on this type of product. I still haven't reroofed my 5er do to not having the time and the temps here being in the 90s just about every day. If it looks doable I might put it on and try it out. If it doesn't work I'll replace the roof like I was going to do in the first place.
  8. That's way I haven't retired yet, it helps keep the prices low.
  9. Is this the type of polyurethane you're talking about? https://lexiscoatings.com/polyurethane
  10. That sucks!!! Was it a bad gauge or to much pressure.
  11. OPFTL.....Old People Follow Tail Lights is my motto. When I do venture out after sunset I use my 9104 light blubs with stock head lamp assemblies and wiring. The low beams (80 watts) with the stock driving lights are good enough for me..
  12. I thought that the ohm resistance would change also. Does the voltage change on the YL/OR wire when the temp selector is powered up and the knob moved.
  13. The A/C heater temperature control is nothing more than a potentiometer so if you're not seeing a variable voltage on the YL/OR wire with an open circuit between pin #3 and #4 then the temperature control is bad.
  14. Here is the FSM diagram for the blend door. Dark blue (DB) wire is battery voltage, yellow/orange (YL/OR) wire is a variable voltage signal from the temp selector and the black/light green (BK/LG) wire is the ground. I don't think a 9 volt battery is going to power a 12 volt system. It would be best to see if you have truck battery voltage at the DB wire, changing voltage at the YL/OR wire and ohm test the BK/LG wire for continuity to ground.
  15. No, it wasn't in the article but in the middle of page 2 of the original thread. All of those pictures are missing also.
  16. I was able to insert the pictures from the Word document into both the article and forum where @W-T writeup is posted. I was unable to remove the grayed out areas where the original pictures were. Thank you @015point9 for the Word doc.
  17. You may need a new APPS. Here is how to test it. If you need a new one get a Timbo; they are for sale in the Mopar1973Man store.
  18. That data is still there. It's the pictures that are missing.
  19. This is why I'm doing it. 1000 mile trip is a short one for me towing my 5er. This spring was a 3000 mile trip and the past 2 years I did a couple of 7,000 mile trips. I don't need any problems with the trans like I had with the VP44 in Riggins ID.
  20. I think you might have a blend door problem.
  21. If the compressor is cycling then you might still be low on the 134A. How much have you put in? From the 2ed generation cab interior article "Basic Air Condition Repair" The A/C system requires 32oz of 134A for a full charge. When using a single use 12oz can you’ll need 3 cans. After adding 2 cans (which is 24oz) weigh the third can on the kitchen scale and make note of the weight. When adding the remaining 8oz (2/3 of the can) check the weight of the can occasionally. When the can is 8oz lighter you’re done.
  22. I've had problems on and off with this transmission for the past year. First it would either have a delayed or no 1-2, 2-3 shift which was fixed with a new governor solenoid and pressure transducer. Now the torque convertor lock up won't work due to a bad convertor clutch. If I replace just the torque convertor I still have a valve body that has insufficient stock line pressure along with it's other drawbacks and a transmission that has been overheated. I call John @Dynamic transmissions and ordered a "Stage 2" transmission with a low stall speed Georend torque convertor. I hope to have it in a week or two. I've got another 1000 mile camping trip planed for October 2ed which will give it a good test drive..
